I've never tried grease monkey before but I rolled in here and the guys took my truck and then informed me I still had almost 2000 miles till my next oil change then one of the guys by accident found a issue and drained the oil out and then they offered me a free oil change. The guy on the photo a few reviews under is almost always there when I go and he is fantastic. Anyways, the service is very quick and I don't have any complaints since that's basically the only reason I go. There is one incident I need to mention though. I took my old 1997 Subaru SVX there a while ago to get a quick oil change and they did the normal "topping off" or whatever of the fluids. I found out that the serviceman had topped off my power steering fluid, except that SVXs takes ATF fluid. Its written on the cap and everything with warnings... well they completely decimated the system. I didn't go back to complain, I just had it repaired because I assume it was a honest mistake. I only say this, because I've never had issues and they have never ever tried to sell me any service I didn't need so I gave them benefit of the doubt. So quick and friendly but just ensure they know if your car has specific things out of the ordinary because they will just "top it off." read more

I have been here many times and have always received friendly and courteous service. The oil change is quick, and I like how they explain if anything needs to be fixed or changed, and if it doesn't. Great service, manager was very knowledgeable, and was VERY patient with all of my questions. It was a little more expensive than I was expecting, but it was the apparent market rate. I also got a small discount (maybe for being so pushy and inquisitive) on a new filter for my A/C, so that was much appreciated. read more

These guys used to be great. Not anymore. First they ripped off a friend of mine by suggesting she buy a new battery, when the battery was already brand-new. They also suggested I buy a new battery. When I did so, the next day my car wouldn't start. When I brought it back, They said it was the starter and not the battery. Suspicious. read more

Jesus Christ. Didn't realize we would quite literally be dealing with greasey monkeys when we brought our camper van to this place. We're on a 2 month road trip and needed a quick oil change. When we drove in, the workers started to snicker at our 93 dodge van like a bunch of schoolboys. They broke our dipstick in two immediately after pulling it out, appearing to find humor in this accident. No one offered to pay for a new one or give us a discount. 1 week after leaving Boulder, we realized that they forgot to put back our transmission dipstick. Seriously? I will say that Mike the manager seemed helpful and apologetic. It's too bad he has a crew of donkeys working for him. read more

I took my 98 Honda Civic HX to Grease Monkey for an oil change because I had a coupon for $6 off so I thought it was a pretty good deal. They did the oil change, I was pretty happy, they vacuumed my car but they used regular oil instead of the synthetic blend my car is supposed to have. A few months later, I took my car to the Kuni Honda dealership to get my oil changed and they came out to me about 10 minutes after I bring my car in and they said that whoever did the last oil change put the drain plug in sideways and over torqued it. I called up Grease Monkey and Mike tried to help me through the process but after about 4 days later, he said they are not responsible because the tamper seal they have had been messed with my the Honda Dealer. So I had no choice but to have them glue the drain bolt in and wait until I can get it fixed. They wanted $700 to fix it which I know isn't right. I was driving around with the worst oil leak for about 3 weeks. I couldn't go anywhere without putting half a quart of oil or pulling off to the side of I-25 when my engine oil light comes on. Luckily, there was no damage to the engine. (It's a Honda!!!) I called around a few places and ended up in Mancinelli's Auto Repair on Logan and Speer in Downtown Denver and they replaced the oil pan for me for $575. Since its an aluminum pan (my car has a vtec-e) it was $300 for the part alone. So don't let their prices get to you, please stay away from any Grease Monkey. These people don't know what they're doing. read more

This has been my go-to place since i moved to Boulder! I was looking for places to go other than my dealer and I am so happy i found this place! I always have a wonderful experience and it never takes long at all. I have come in for multiple oil changes and I recently needed a new battery and they were able to replace it in no time (about 15 mins). They even saw one of my tail lights out and fixed it no charge and even fixed my radio which I was locked out of! The employees that work here are always very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! They go above and beyond. I will always choose this place for my car needs! I highly recommend this place to everyone! read more

So impressed!!!! They sold us a new battery today ($135) and then called to say their new battery tester had given a false report, so we didn't actually need the new battery. We will return to get our old battery back and save $135!!!!!! There is no way we would have ever known and Tim was so great to call and let us know about the mistake. I went here while visiting my daughter in Boulder. Her vehicle needed the oil changed. I looked for a place using Yelp. This place was quick and efficient. I wish I had gotten the name of the young man that did the work. He told me I needed an air filter and when I said I would buy it elsewhere, he understood. He also told me that the transmission fluid looked great and we must be taking good care of the vehicle, and would probably get many many more miles on this 244,000 mile Toyota. Thank you! read more

Everyone here is very nice and helpful. Michael has helped us three times now. I can't speak higher of his customer service! He is a nice, friendly and an efficient employee. Every time we have been to this location the service had been spectacular. Quick oil changes, cheap light bulb replacements, and service with a smile. I never feel pressured into extra services, unlike other service stations that push air filters and windshield wiper replacements. I feel that the employees at grease monkey are very honest about what services are a priority and what to look out for in the future. I've never had a complaint and we will continue to bring our vehicles here for our future needs. read more

This place is absolutely ridiculous. I left a ring in my ashtray by mistake. While driving home i realized the ring was missing. After going back everyone played dumb and pretended they had no clue what happened to it. Btw this was a $400 sterling sliver ring. Mike the manager was very helpful at first and said he would find the ring or figure out a way to pay me for the loss. I stayed very calm and cool because I didn't want anyone who wasn't involved to lose their jobs. A few days went by so i started calling. They don't pick up my calls or return my messages. I'm currently in the process of contacting the owner to make sure all these clowns loose their jobs. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I just moved to the area and came to this location for an oil change on my Honda Civic. I had stellar service and was grateful that they thoroughly explained their findings. It was a short wait and I was very happy with my experience and the extensive check list they went through. I had a horribly dirty cabin filter that they offered to replace and when I asked them if it was easily accessible and something I could do myself to save money, they were more than happy to show me what I needed to do. read more

After driving all over the country and having my oil changed at numerous different chains and auto repair establishments, I was surprised to be told that my vehicle has a "special" oil filter by this location of Grease Monkey and was charged an additional $11 for it, which has NEVER happened before. Either my oil filter is only special to Grease Monkey and no other place or I was charged extra for no reason. Dissatisfied with the unnecessary upcharge, so until I hear from the owner about whether this was an exceptional circumstance or I was wrongfully charged, I cannot recommend Grease Monkey to anyone. read more

TERRIBLE! -5 star review. Don't let them touch your vehicle. As with many of the quick oil change places, they hire very unskilled, uneducated workers. They offered to replace my serpentine belt for $55. Unfortunately their "technician" failed to observe the sticker located right in front of the serpentine belt which described how to remove the pulley. He broke the aluminum mounting housing, causing $550 in damage , Towing costs, and a full day of my time to deal with my damaged vehicle. He shouldn't have been removing the pulley to begin with. However, if he had needed to the instructions for doing so were clearly described on the sticker right under his nose. Of course the very nervous technician denied breaking the part. He claimed it was broken before I came to the store. There's no possible way the vehicle would have started let alone driven down the road if it was broken prior to arriving at grease monkey. Management has completely ignored my requests for reimbursement or any acknowledgment of breaking my truck. Stay away from grease monkey of Boulder. Both stores are owned by the same person. read more

As soon as I pulled into the parking lot I was greeted by my mechanic who promptly ushered me towards the front desk while he took my car for its oil change. I came here after calling to find out how much it would cost to fix my turn signal. They charged me just for the bulb which was just under $5.00. This was after calling Midas and them quoting me $49.99!! Good to know that Grease Monkey isn't about ripping off customers every chance they get.
