Was at Vail headquarters yesterday with my family. We got coffee and were just walking around. I walked into Grazing Theory to check it out because me and my husband love charcuterie. The women behind the counter didn't even acknowledge us at first. She seemed very stressed out. There was a menu on the counter so I started looking at it and she walked over and said they don't have any boxes made and it would be about an hour to make one. I asked about sandwiches and she rudely replied while pointing at the tray she was making, " yeah see those boards, those take time to make". I was shocked at her rudeness and reluctancy to even explain what we should do if we wanted to order in the future. We got the hint that she just wanted us to leave so she could carry on with what she was doing. I think it is very poor business practice to make your customers feel like you don't want them there. I understand that they are busy and maybe she was by herself, but I was merely asking questions so that I knew how to order if I did want to return. She made my mind up for me. This place is amazing! I ordered online for a mother's day pick up and everything was perfect. I had a couple questions when I ordered online and my emails were answered within the hour. I also was able to make a couple customizations without any issues. I picked up the board Sunday right at the time I asked and it was ready and set to go. This place is wonderful! They accommodated me after business hours when I totally forgot to pickup my order. I had planned to put these trays in my guest hotel rooms and panicked when I realized they were closed. The owner worked it out and I was able to pick up after all. I was so grateful and my guests were too! They absolutely loved it. I included these trays in a care package with champagne, juice, plates, etc. They enjoyed having these as a little snack in between our adventures. The trays keep well.
