I thought we would love it, but we ended up finding it just OK…read more This is a super popular spot. We came at about 9 AM on a Sunday and there was a 15 minute wait. A lot of people bring their children here and it makes sense that they're here early since children wake up early. They also have a really cute treasure box with prizes for the kids, so if I was here with my family, I probably would bump this up a star. However, I was here with my husband and our couple friend. The decor is beautiful. I love how bright and cheery all the decorations are. Parking can get difficult, it seems like they have just enough parking for the amount of people there. The food is what I found just OK. I got their yogurt bowl, which I guess I can't really expect to be wow'd by a yogurt bowl, but I found it to be fine. My options were limited since I don't eat pork and a majority of their meat is pork. They do have a chicken sausage, but looking at pictures. It looks like the casing may possibly be pork so I decided to avoid it just in case. I also got their cold brew, it didn't come with any cream or sweetener or anything to add. I probably should've asked for some, because I found the cold brew to just be OK. My husband got the chicken pot pie and said he expected more chicken in it. I think our overall feel of the food was it was fine, but not great. I won't run to come back here, but I also wouldn't be opposed to someone wanted to. I think that's the definition of three stars for me. Price is super reasonable, this meal will not break the bank.

We spotted this place and went in because you can't really go wrong with waffles right? The place was very clean, had a couch in the corner and a few tables. They have both sweet and savory waffle options on the menu. I personally think it's a bit excessive to charge for every single topping especially since the toppings are pretty standard. They also had a selection of some pretty basic ice cream flavors. We got a waffle with a scoop of ice cream and a smoothie. The waffle was a bit flavorless and undercooked inside. The ice cream was good enough and the contrast between the cold ice cream and warm waffle was great. For $12, it really should've come with at least some whipped cream and a couple of basic toppings with an option to upgrade for premium toppings. The smoothie was nothing special. Overpriced for what it is.

The counter service is always friendly, and they patiently waited while I picked out the Aloha Beaches Bowl from their selection of four acai bowls. You never feel rushed to order quickly here, and it's always pretty quiet and chill inside, with a few people sprinkled throughout working on their laptops. I should add here that I'm a big fan of acai bowls, and I've tried so many throughout the Tampa Bay Area and beyond over the past few years. And while the Aloha Beaches Bowl didn't disappoint - the fruit was fresh and the frozen acai was just the right texture - the price for the size of the bowl was a bit high compared to what you can get at other yummy acai spots like Grain & Berry or Soho Juice Co., where you have many more options available.

Metro diner is a place I never have to go back to. I ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich expecting…read moreit to be a normal sandwich size and it was nearly the size of a chicken mini (ok maybe an exaggeration but for $10 it was not worth it at all). The chicken was tasty but the biscuit crumbled and again all of it was way too small. Others ordered a few things: the pancakes which had no flavor and were as blonde as can be. The hashbrowns I could've pulled out of the freezer and would've tasted the same. The avocado egg sandwich got mixed up and served as avocado toast. The biscuits and gravy were ok but the gravy is light on the sausage and the flavor while the biscuits sifted a bit too much under all the gravy (probably due to the tiny size). And even though it was a Sunday morning, it still took nearly thirty minutes to receive our food after ordering. Not the worst food I've ever had. Not the worst service I've ever had. But I hope metro diner isn't striving for 'not the worst'. We'll probably just go to Cracker Barrel or somewhere local instead next time.

Raphael, the owner, is extremely friendly and aways takes the time to get to know his customers. There is something on the menu for everyone here sweet and savory crepes and waffles, lattes and a pastry case filled with baked goods. Everything is reasonably priced and the portions are generous. I never leave feeling hungry. Raphael even let us try something he was thinking about adding to the menu. A croissant stuffed with vanilla gelato and drizzled with hot fudge. Yes please! The combination of the cold gelato and the hot fudge was delicious. I really hope he adds this to the menu. These crepes are definitely the best ones I've had in St. Pete, and I'm even going to say I think they're the best I've ever had ever. I'm glad Graze exists, because I feel like they have quite a few options that meet what I'm looking for. This time I got a kale Caesar with blackened Ahi tuna on it. The Ahi tuna was absolutely delicious. I found the kale Caesar had a bit too much sauce, it tasted extra cheesy to me, so I think this Caesar sauce which is homemade has quite a bit of cheese in it for those of you who may not be big cheese fans. What would have made this five stars is if it had less sauce, so next time I might ask for the dressing on the side so I can control putting it on myself. I appreciate that they text you when your order is ready so you can walk around, I was able to go back to my table and sit with the family until my order was ready. The server initially said they maybe out of chicken. Came back to say they had chicken left. My husband order liver and onions, she was unsure about the liver and onions. She asked the cook, who was walking around out front. He responded, yes we have liver. Okay, great we ordered. She said it will take 15 minutes. We said okay. She comes back out to say they have no Lima beans. My husband says why don't you tell me what you have and I will choose. It was apparent they had very little on the menu. It's 1:30pm on a Wednesday. It helps to know your inventory. The food comes out. I could hardly cut the chicken it was so dry and overcooked. It looked dark inside as if it was old. I tasted a little piece thinking maybe it was a different seasoning, it had an aftertaste. When the server came back, we inquired about the chicken. She said it is precooked in the mornings and cooked completely when ordered. I thought that's dangerous, letting undercooked chicken sit until ordered. The liver was so dry, you can see it in the picture. My husband could not eat it. They gave the impression that the food was cooked to order. It was not. The black eye peas and yams were good. The collard greens were okay. Not sure where the gravy on the rice came from. It wasn't from the liver. We didn't eat any of the food. They charged us for half the meal. I would have given a 1, but they were very nice. My goal is never to hurt a business. I'm a business owner. But, we must give a good product. We were very disappointed.
