Had a fine experience with Grayzer Electric rewiring to accommodate an outdoor sauna. It turned out my 40+ year old house had breaker boxes known for dangerous malfunction that had to be replaced. The owner Jeff provided links to websites explaining and confirming the situation. His bid on new breaker boxes and outdoor wiring was competitive with two others (quite a bit lower than one of them) and far more detailed as to specifics. He answered intitial questions and later concerns fully, efficiently, and almost immediately. Permitting with two different authorities occurred painlessly and invisibly. When the day came, Max and his crew of two other electricians worked efficiently and cleanly. The work as completed looks almost elegant, which is difficult when running an outside line a quarter of the way around a house. Max chose the simplest, best solution at each point. I have been so impressed with Grayzer. We needed someone to come fix inspection issues after buying a house and I called a few electricians first. One was extremely rude and acted like I was an idiot for asking a few questions, and the others took so long to respond. The folks at Grayzer wrote back within 10 minutes of me sending my inspection report with explanations of each issue and price estimates so we could adequately determine which were imminent and which we could wait on. They were extremely competitive when it came to pricing and were very diligent about getting the work right. Amazing. At first we were given an appointment time 3 weeks out (ok, I get it, it's covid), but they called in less than a week with an opening! Dylan came over this morning and literally fixed years of wiring damage and hassles. Long story, but we knew the wiring to one of our rooms was wonky, and weirdly linked to another room on the other side of the house. Dylan not only figured out what the problems were (yes, problemS), but managed to re-wired/re-configure what needed to be done so we would finally have electricity to ALL the outlets and light fixtures in that room without losing power in the other room. (And the kicker is, he came out to simply install a ceiling fan. Surprise!) I was so impressed with his communication and updates and explanations, not only of what he was doing, but why ... what I gathered was that he was fixing years of other electricians' attempts and patch jobs. How is it possible to give someone more than five stars? I keep clicking the rating icon for "10" or "20", but it appears that Yelp is keeping the ceiling at five, lol! What can I say about Jeff and Grayzer Electric that can adequately describe how great his business is? If you've read any of my other reviews, then by now you know that I've recently been going through the aches and pains of being a first-time homeowner/buyer. The final item on my to-do list was to have two exterior lights wired and mounted to either side of my garage door. After receiving an incredibly expensive and unreasonable quote from another electrician, I knew I'd have to stick to the basic rule of getting at least three estimates for the job. Jeff was the second name I found on Yelp and although he had only one review for his listing, I figured he might be a good lead since he's close to my house in Manor. Jeff took my call and was more than happy to come out to Manor at a time that wouldn't conflict with my work hours. After forwarding a brief e-mail to him outlining the job proposal, he quickly responded with a basic estimate and offered to come out to the house on Saturday morning to take a closer look should the estimate require fine-tuning. He went so far as to make sure and ask what color of switch plates I wanted and how to orient them. As promised, Jeff arrived at the agreed upon time and after a cursory inspection of the attic and the electrical runs, he committed to the estimate he provided earlier and immediately began working. Despite warnings by the previous electrician that he might have to cut into the sheet rock to run the wiring, Jeff was able to assess that no intrusive cutting was required and he completed the job efficiently in under 3 hours. Jeff cleaned up any dust and debris without having to be asked, checked to make sure the connections worked properly, and provided me with my invoice via my e-mail account. For all the individuals and businesses I have had to work with during this home purchase, Jeff by far stands out as the most rewarding and fulfilling one of the bunch. Max and Logan are particularly good and thorough (and entertaining). And Jeff treats his employees right, too, which means they actually give a flip about what they're doing for the company and you. We've now used them about four different times at our business and they have never disappointed. Even the one time there was a delay in scheduling (a lift rental was behind schedule), Jeff immediately let us know what was going on (two days in advance) and rescheduled ASAP. I needed a 100 pound, 52 inch by 36 inch crystal globe chandelier installed (Restoration Hardware Casbah for reference) - along with a ceiling medallion, on a 26' 3" entry ceiling height.
