The Hydro colonic experience has been amazing ... thanks Jose. My review is based on IV drip scheduling that occurred. Recently I attempted twice to schedule my first ever IV drip appointment. Both times my appt was scheduled then declined. First time I was told that the nurse who performs the IV, hasn't made her schedule for September yet...However the website reflects available dates. Possible error ok I understand. I was then schedule for a date and time available. Later I checked the website to inquire dates available for a hydro colonic as a returning client. I saw that the office would be closed due to the Labor Day holiday. Which included the the the date my IV drip was scheduled?... the scheduled date that I was assigned. I sent a email to inquire and was told they will be close so my appt is canceled. Once again I was given the excuse of a "system error" and " I don't know how you were able to book that appt". Mistake happen however as a business is is your responsibility to ensure the information on your website is accurate and is functioning accordingly. Instead of taking accountability, I was told "mistakes happen". Unacceptable. I'm conflicted because my hydro colonic experience as you can see below has always been amazing. I recently had my very first colonic! I did some research online and came across Gravity One Studio. It seems like a relatively new business in the Heights but I decided to try it. When I called to make my appointment, the guy on the phone was super informative and answered all of my questions. When I arrived, of course I had more questions and he answered them very pleasantly. When the session started, I was super nervous but the technician made me feel very comfortable. I won't describe the actual colonic, but I will say that it may be something I add to my healthcare regimen a few times a year. I ended up buying 2 sessions for $170 total. Overall, a great service and I will be back to use my second session this summer. read more

This owner doesn't seem to handle constructive criticism very well. A sign of very low intellect. The owner proceded to send me several angry emails accusing me of bullying their business for simply voicing my displeasure with how an appointment I made for my mother was canceled with less than a 24 hour notice, and without any explanation. I had to send a couple of emails requesting an explanation for the cancelation. After the reply stated it was due to their physician not approving the RX, I said I understood that reasoning. I explained in the email that what I took issue with was the appointment being canceled with such a short notice (10pm the night before) and no explanation as to why. I shared my thoughts on how I considered it unprofessional to wait until the night before the appointment to cancel. This was after the appointment had been already set for three days. And payment of over $130 had been made. Well that just set off a tirade of angry emails and immature, unprofessional responses to what should be considered an honest straightforward review. Looking at other replies to other critical reviews shows how this business just can't handle honest feedback, which should be a major red flag for anyone considering doing business with them. ***Update *** Notice the business' reply does not address whatsoever the reason behind my review. She simply ignores that the fact that she canceled an appointment with not even a 24 hour notice and that no explanation was provided. M y first time getting a colonic and I'm 39 years old. It was definitely an experience! I actually found this business through their Instagram and did some further research and saw they had stellar reviews. VERY reasonably priced although I did find a discounted rate on Groupon which had more positive reviews ESPECIALLY REGARDING THE CLEANLINESS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT so I decided to book with Gravity One ASAP! I will mention for any women who decide to do this, I unexpectedly started my period the day before my appointment and the staff there let me know it was totally fine to continue with my colonic hydrotherapy. Here are some pros and cons regarding my experience. PROS: As we all know a pandemic is going on and the staff made sure to take precautions. You are required to wear a mask and your temperature is checked upon arrival. The room is VERY CLEAN as well as all the equipment. They use DISPOSABLE tubes and the co-owner spoke with me beforehand about the process as well as showing me the equipment and what to expect during and after the process. They leave you alone in the room however there is a bell to ring if you need assistance from a staff member. CONS: I have waist length braids and I wish I was advised beforehand to tie my hair up because you have to insert the tube yourself and my darn hair kept getting in the way I also wish they had a full length mirror in the room so I could see what I was doing because it took a few tries for me to insert the tube because I couldn't see how far in it was. I also wish I was informed about the nausea. Keep in mind each person is different and I knew beforehand there would be some cramping but for me personally it was painful. It felt like cramps times 10 plus felt like morning sickness when you're pregnant. Felt like times I wasn't going to make it through the full 40 minutes. After it was done I could barely stand up due to pain in my gut/stomach and I vomited a bit afterwards. I'm not sure if I had this reaction because it was my first time plus being on my cycle. But fortunately they advise you to use their restroom afterwards to get EVERYTHING out lol and Lord knows I did lol After about 10 minutes the pain and nausea was gone and I felt fine throughout the day. I lost about 3lbs I am glad to have cleaned my system they do recommend doing it periodically Jose, Marisol and the owner (so mad I forgot her name!) were EXTREMELY helpful and nice from the time I arrived until I left. I was searching for a place to do a colonic. The reason behind it is because I want to do a juice detox so I can go back to being vegetarian. In my research I found that my detox would be most effective if I "cleaned" my insides so the juices vitamins and minerals would be better absorbed so I started researching places and found Gravity One. The staff is extremely professional and nice. They were quick to answer all my questions and address any concerns I had! The location itself is quaint and although the room where they perform the colonic is rather sterile looking, I appreciated that it was very clean! The lobby was very inviting and clean. I liked how they explain how they clean everything and you can tell it looked clean. The colonic itself was quite an experience. I've gone twice now. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. They are knowledgeable and able to answer any questions. The studio itself is very clean. My only complaint is I wish they would invest in a different kind of disposable insertion device. The blue one is very hard. I have a difficult time inserting it because it hurts no matter how much lube I use. It's just hard!! Too sturdy. I've even cut/scraped my inner anus because of it. Since the quarantine began, I've been eating a lot more junk food than usual, opening the fridge every 30 minutes, and also drinking more beer than I usually do. So of course i was feeling bloated and constipated throughout the quarantine and also not feeling like my usual self. I had 2 sessions at Gravity One Studio on Ella for their modern colonic services. After the first session, I felt less constipated. But what surprised me after the second session is that it reduced my cravings for the junk food i was eating for these past few months. My body was still asking for frozen pizza and fast food, but I have WAY more control over the cravings. So not only did it help my body, my mind is thinking twice about what I want and absolutely don't want to eat. Staff is very professional and the room was spotless. As soon as I was ready for the session to begin (which only took 45min) the therapist dimmed the lights to my preference and left the room. I was on my phone the whole time. Relaxing. & there's a doorbell right next to you just in case you want to see the therapist during your session for any questions. Fyi this was my first time ever doing something like this and i definitely will be using their services again. I highly recommend to anyone that is thinking of a change in lifestyle. My first session went okay, a little uncomfortable afterwards, but okay. It was my first session with the open colonic system. My second session was a nightmare, first of all it was freaking hot in there, I was given a longer nozzle which I thought it was going to work better but it was horrible! Water was not coming in, we changed the nozzle. The lady thanked me for trying the different nozzles but I was not a fan of trying these things out. It is not fun to be sticking this hard thing on your butt over and over again and I was already uncomfortable and my butt was starting to hurt. The tips are really hard and uncomfortable and when trying so many times they cause a lot of pain. I was sweating, I was wet from all the water that was splashing from the nozzle and my hole was hurting, I was so mad and in pain. I left, I will try to come back in order not to lose my money but I would not recommend open systems in general. Close systems are the best, someone is doing everything for you and you really get the treatment with enough pressure to remove more matter than with the open system and without being in so much pain. I'm given this place three stars because even though the system is not the one for me and even though it can cause so much pain like it did to me, the gentleman and the lady at this facility are really nice and sweet and they both make this a welcoming place. read more
