After being dropped off by the tow truck driver 30 minutes before the location opened, the staff were generous enough to allow us inside to use the restroom and stay warm. We had been waiting on the side of the road since 4:30am, it was now 6:30am. The got us in to be seen by the mechanic first thing when he showed up. When they found out we were headed to a funeral they helped us secure a rental to get us there on time as the repair was likely to take most of the day. The staff absolutely went above and beyond, they did way more than they had to. I cannot express my gratitude. Casey, Rob, James, and Todd were the employees that helped us! Huge thanks to all of them.

I needed evaporator core/blend door replacement, which was around $3,700. I was fine with price. However, I give it a few more days because April advised that the system from which they order parts had been hacked!! On day three, following the hack, I called to check status, and April stated "oh, I intended to call you yesterday, because you are going to need a drier, which is an additional $1,400.00." She went on to say, "because the drier would be exposed to the sun for a period of time, it has to be replaced or it will void your warranty on the evap core/blend door." Of course, that was lie according to Herring Gear!!!! To top it off, when I went to pick up my car, April "tried" to charge me $294, after telling me the diagnostics fee was $150. I asked to speak with a manager, and then the price dropped to $187. I will never recommend them for any big job, because it seems as if they are not equipped, unless, of course, they just didn't want to do the job!!! They may need to consider hiring a more professional secretary! I don't trust April.

I also drive a late model Accord, and they are notoriously difficult to do something as simple as replace a lug stud due to the brake shielding and proximity of the wheel assembly to the rear of the tire mount. Long story short, this was quite a pickle. I emailed Sunday afternoon, and they were closed mind you on Sunday and for Labor Day. Within an hour, the manager, Jeff Wall, responded and told me to bring it in for a fix. No arguments, no negotiation, just, "Let us make it right." Got it to them at 9:30 today, and by 11 they had it done on the house. Killer customer service there, and they pretty much have a customer as long as I live in the area. Highly recommend.

Phil, Bri, and Drew went the extra mile to get me back on the road. My 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid…read morebroke down halfway between Jackson and Mound Bayou, and when no one else was able to offer to take a look at my car that same day, the staff at this Car Care Clinic offered to see what was wrong, so I had my car towed to them. At first, we thought it was a transmission issue because the car would not accelerate at all and was making a very loud grinding noise. This location does not do transmission work, but they kindly offered to confirm what sort of repair I might need. This, by itself, was a huge help, since every transmission repair shop in town was weeks behind in their work. Luckily, it ended up not being a transmission issue, but a broken axel that was spinning and scraping against the wheel without actually rotating it. Once we knew what the problem was, the staff offered to get my wife and I back on the road within a day, which was incredibly kind, since we were in the middle of a long road trip and did not have time to spare. Drew was not certified to work on hybrids, and doing so was very dangerous, but rather than turning down the job, he spent a great deal of time researching how to disconnect my car's battery, so he could repair it safely. While Drew was working on my car, Phil and Bri were very kind, friendly, and responsive, and kept me informed as to the car's progress and recommended places for me to get something to eat. Bri always answered the phone quickly and cheerfully when I called to ask about the progress. After the car was fixed and we were back on the road, Phil followed-up several times with us to make sure everything was okay and that we made it to our end destination safely, several days later. This was by far the most satisfying experience I have ever had with a car repair shop and its staff, and I highly recommend that anyone experiencing car trouble in Mississippi consider coming to this location.
