I was in the area and found this restaurant through Yelp reviews. I did not appreciate the fact that it's in the corner of a parking lot of a gas station. This is as close to a ghost kitchen as I've ever seen. I had high expectations based on other reviews and maybe the burgers are great but the chicken I would pass on. I ordered the Grattin chicken burger without modifications. It was supposed to come with ketchup, mayo, and three other sauces. I'm not sure if they forgot the sauces but it was pretty dry. I arrived at 12:30am on a Wednesday so they hadn't been open long. The chicken breast was pounded out to 1/4 inch thick and was hanging way off the sandwich. If I had utensils I would have cut the chicken in half to better distribute everything. The egg yolk was fully cooked and dry. The bacon and fries were good. If I lived closer I would have taken this to go. You definitely can't eat this in your vehicle without making a huge mess. If you live in the area and eat hamburgers or hotdogs give it a try. I can't recommend the chicken. read more

Small location next to a gas station. We finally decided to check this place out and see what they had to offer! Nice burger selection. They are Colombian style but also offer "regular" burgers as well. Along with burgers, they had hotdogs and wings. Next time! The burger patties are very thick. If you're used to a double cheeseburger, I suggest getting a single. 4 stars for it being pretty tiny inside of you're there to place an order. A friend recommended Grattin Dog as I have a love for Colombian burgers. Location is within a gas station plaza and there's minimal seating however it was clean and there was outdoor tables. The cashier was nice and my food came out within 7 minutes. Grattin dogs is a interesting hot dog spot around the Altamonte springs mall area. Don't let the the location throw you off. I ordered a burger from here I know it's called gratting dog but I still got a burger lol, and it had everything on it it was Columbian style so it had potato sticks and the works it was delicious. We also ordered a chicken epenada the only problem is it was frozen. We told them about the mistake and they replaced it with a piping hot one. Super fast and friendly service. Food is prepared fresh while you wait so it comes out piping hot, fresh and ready for consumption. This place is located next to the Citco station across from the Sunrail station and has about 6 barstools to sit at if you wish to eat there vs takeout. We wish them luck as this place has had many incarnations over the years so come on out and give them some local love and support. After burning through the standard Altamonte Springs foods, I decided to hit Yelp and see what was good in my local area. Fortunately, Grattin Dog popped up. Now for all of you mindless drones that love to go to places like Five Guys and Steak 'n Shake, let me give you a word of advice.  Stop it. Really.  Number one, give local businesses some love. Number two, this burger beats the crap out of both of them, hands down. No, really. Now, this place doesn't have the best dining area. In fact, it only has a couple of chairs and a small bar to eat at. It doesn't have the best location. It's across from a gas station, and if you blink, you'll miss it. And the counter is slightly larger than the width of your closet. In other words, this place is completely unconventional, squeezed between a pizza joint and a tattoo parlor. But, hot damn. This is the best burger in Altamonte Springs. And instead of paying $18 at Five Guys for a burger and fries, why not just go here, drop $8 to $14, and get a burger that's not only twice as big, but twice as good? I mean, did you take a look at this behemoth? It's not a burger, it's a whole cow. Meaty as hell, and seasoned perfectly. Definitely made by hand, and actually stacked lovingly, so when you take off the wrapper, this is what appears (see my pic). Obviously, these guys not only care about how the burger tastes, but how it looks when you open it up. When was the last time you got that from a fast food joint? It is very small and only has seating at a counter for 4 people. The menu is an assortment of Colombian and American food. The empanadas had tasty fillings but were greasy and the burgers which were ordered medium rare were just short of burnt. The fries were good. We were looking for some late night eats and Yelp guided us to this little spot, and yes I literally mean LITTLE! When you open the door, you walk into a narrow walk-way that has a bar built into the wall on your left and a counter in front to take your order. Obviously it's not really meant for dining in (the bar only had 4 seats but I think there was at least one table outside). The wall blocked the kitchen, what we assumed took up the rest of the space. We didn't see a bathroom. Pretty sure we would have had to walk through the kitchen to use it if we had to go. The ambiance was like that of a walk in food truck. The Food: I ordered the Grattin Burger meal that included fries and a bottled drink. The burger had a thick beef patty, cooked egg, carmelized onions, potato chip fries, lettuce, tomato, cheese (over the top bun), ketchup, mayo, pink sauce, and pineapple sauce! I loved the flavor and all the sauce!!! The pineapple sauce on the burger really worked great with the other flavors. My only issue was the burger patty was too well done for my taste. I should have asked if they cooked the meat to order, but at the same time the women never asked how I'd like it cooked soooo idk. Regardless, I ate almost all of it and was STUFFED! My hubby ordered the Single Burger meal. He likes his meat well done so it was perfect for him. This is definitely where you want to go for tasty, greasy, over-the-top bites! All of the food was delicious. The burgers were excellent, the Cheese and Hawaiian empanadas were flaky and stuffed full of delicious fillings, and the Tres Leches was creamy, delicious, and it tasted homemade. For food alone, I'm giving Grattin Dog five stars. I'm craving that Tres Leches, and we'll definitely be back. My one complaint- We came for Burger Week burgers. I understand Burger Week specifies that there's a $6 charge for To Go orders, but is it fair to charge the to-go fee when your restaurant has extremely limited outdoor seating and it's raining? Plus, it appears that most of their orders are to go. We ordered two of the specials, but we also ordered sides, empanadas, and dessert, and of course we tipped on the order, so the extra $6 felt like a bit of a rip off. If we only ordered the specials I could understand charging us the extra fee. If we go back during Burger Week we'll avoid the Burger Week special and just order off the regular menu, which would have been cheaper than the special with the fee. read more

It's been a while, but I'm back in the Orlando area again! Being that it was kind of late at night, my friends and I were limited on finding a spot for dinner, so we decided to check out Grattin Dog! Going in today, there wasn't a ton of parking in the area, but the wait wasn't too bad. For dinner tonight, I ordered the grattin burger (burger patty with provolone cheese, fried egg, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pink sauce, cilantro sauce, and pineapple sauce) and seasoned fries. Moving on with my review, I've had Columbian burgers in the past, and they weren't so hot, but I got to hand it to the Grattin burger spot as my sandwhich was very good! For starters, the Patty was very tender, and honestly had a meat/pork sausage flavor to it which I found very tasty! In addition, the sauces on the burger all tasted home made and blended well together which each taken bite. Moreover, the bacon was nice and Crispy. The fries were nicely seasoned too, although not fresh cut. Only thing that I would've liked, is if my egg wasn't cooked all the way through as the runny egg would've totally topped off my burger. Overall, I was really taken for a surprise by the quality & quantity of grattin burger, and would be open to come here again if back in the area! read more

Small, unassuming spot in a gas station parking lot. There are a few park tables outside. Attentive staff, quick service, good food. Went with the Grattin Dog (BOGO Wednesdays) and a Double Burger. Burger bun on the Double Burger ($7.99) was toasted yet soft, and featured 2 patties of 7 oz homemade angus beef, American white cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, sweet onions, pink sauce, sweet pineapple sauce, ketchup, mayo. The Grattin Dog ($6.99) was huge and visually even more stunning. 7 inch beef sausage, ham, provolone cheese, potato sticks, garlic sauce, pink sauce, sweet pineapple sauce, mayo, ketchup. Plenty of sauces as expected with Colombian burgers and hot dogs. Flavorful but disappointed we couldn't taste the pineapple sauce that well. That, was the only disappointment on this visit.
