We visited Grata back in March. Coming from CA, we are spoiled with fresh and inspired foods all year long. Grata hit the mark and delivered one of our more memorable NJ meals! They served us focaccia and oil for the table to enjoy while we looked over the menu. The bread was fresh and airy and delicious! The menu includes Antipasti, Thin Crust Pizzas, Salads, Pastas, and Mains, so there's a little something for every palate. We shared: Tricolore chopped salad - classic and yet inspired, and a generous portion of fresh, flavorful green goodness. Orecchiette pasta - chicken, sausage, broccolini, chili flakes! Yum! Bucatini Carbonara - creamy and comforting on a cool evening! More yum! Salmon - a clean and flavorful protein packed meal We were celebrating a birthday so they brought out ice cream with candles in it, and we all sang Happy Birthday (even the table next to us)! Easy parking. Friendly and attentive service. Fresh and flavorful food. Warm interior with white table clothes. We'll be back!

Let's start off by saying that I loved the interior and the food. Entered And welcomed, dint need a booking over the week for dinner. Ordered starters and main course, desserts . We were treated well and we ordered a few stare timers and entrees . Food was great and loved the place . Been there for the nth time and will go back again! My personal favorite is shrimp scampi and the Apple dessert!

Grato is I restaurant that I've passed literally hundreds of times on Rt 10 in Morris Plains. I think the only reason I didn't try it before was because I heard some mixed reviews from friends. Well on a Friday night, my wife and I decided to finally try it, and we're so glad we did. The restaurant was outstanding! We started off with glasses of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon and they provide you with complimentary focaccia bread and dipping oil. That was delicious, the oil had a great spice. We then split the Tri Color Salad which was plenty for 2. For entrees, I ordered the Bucatini Carbonara and my wife had Flounder Francaise with bucatini. Wow! The meals were delicious! We even saved room for the warm Apple Torte with vanilla ice cream. A great meal! I can't say enough about the service here. Our server, Julia, was excellent, and the manager, Diego, stopped over multiple times to make sure we were enjoying our meals. He actually recommended to my wife ordering bucatini to go with her flounder. It may have taken us a long time to get to Grato, but we'll be back here soon for sure!

Stunning interior and great service! Staff were all super friendly & attentive. Their starter focaccia may have been my favorite part of the meal! The pepperoni cups on their pizza was what made me choose this place for dinner and it did not disappoint. The penne vodka had great flavor and the pasta was cooked well. Mozzarella sticks super cheesy, but I will say the breading was extremely bland. Overall a good experience and would come back to try other items on the menu!

Nonna's spaghetti with meatballs

Enjoyed a fantastic dinner at the bar. Plenty of space between the chairs & service was great! Loved the focaccia bread with the tasty dipping sauce. Mozzarella Frittata app was so light with a good pull of cheese. For dinner I had the Nonna's spaghetti with added meatballs (yum) & my husband got the chicken parm which he loved (huge serving!) & a side of broccolini that was excellent. We had enough to bring home for dinner tonight! For dessert we got the Zeppole's - a must have!! Definitely coming back. You can also come here & get a thin crust pizza which I plan to do next time as they looked so good! Great place for sure!

Had the BEST time at Grato! Recently went for my anniversary and they made the evening so special. From a personalized card and complementary champagne, to a cute message with dessert, the whole night was perfect. Not to mention the food was incredible and the ambiance was super romantic. 100/10!!

Calamari Casino

To start I love the interior! It feels very classy but not overbearing. It's dimly lit and it makes for a great dinner date. We ordered the calamari to start. I loved the amount of flavor and also the crispy batter. I got the spaghetti as my main and fell in love with the sauce! The perfect balance of tart and savory, but also somehow buttery. My only complaint is the noodles were a little bit clumpy? The carbonara was lighter than expected and I loved the texture of the bucatini. The broccolini was cooked to perfection and loved the garlic flavor. Overall it's a decent spot for italian food. Service was attentive and the free focaccia was surprisingly so good. Would definitely go back to try their other pastas.

Il Tornello (~$14)

Ordered: Il Tornello (~$14): Breckenridge gin, Italicus, Rich Rosemary, simple syrup, lemon juice, club soda Rosy Cheeks (~$15): Rocktown basil vodka, limoncello, grapefruit & cranberry juices, Prosecco Just-Baked Focaccia (~$6): served warm with ricotta cheese, basil pesto Semolina Crispy Calamari Casino (~$16): with parmigiana, cherry peppers, bacon bits, scallions Spaghetti Cacio e Peppe (~$25): black pepper, parmigiana butter sauce Aya's take: Decent Italian cuisine in Morris Plains but service was super slow considered it wasn't busy when our party of 5 arrived around 5pm or so. They also missed part of the order but we just let it go since we ordered enough food. The Cacio e Peppe is very rich but lacked the depth I was looking for. The Focaccia is a must-get for the table. Fresh, warm, and so delicious especially with the ricotta cheese and basil pesto dip. The cocktails were fine but not super memorable. Really nice ambiance here and great for date nights or business dinners!

This place has everything Italian your heart desires and more. They have an amazing long display of homemade prepared foods. It's the biggest one I've ever seen for an Italian market in NJ. You can find chicken cutlets, broccoli rabe, arancini, carbonara cappellini, potato and cheese croquettes, cakes, fruiti de mare salad, several types of seafood salads, crab cakes, eggplant parm, sicilian eggplant, jumbo fried shrimp, specialty burgers and sliders, several types of prepared salmon, grilled and roasted vegetables, an antipasto bar, an entire cheese department with imported and homemade cheeses, such as homemade mozzarella, bocconcini, basket cheese aka"formaggio da pasta filata" ( yes and not just at the holidays) and homemade ricotta. They have tons and tons of all different types of olives. Uncle Giuseppe's sells Italian and imported specialty products. They have a fresh meat department, a fresh fish department, a full deli, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh pastas, a variety of homemade ravioli's, a coffee bar with assorted expresso beans, and other flavored beans you can grind. A variety of Imported canned tomatoes and products from Italy. Homemade peanut butter you grind on the spot fresh with no additives. They have a nice selection of imported olive oils and vinegars. There's a hot takeout bar with meatballs, different kinds of pasta, chicken and vegetables. They even have a section where they make a variety of homemade pizzas. For dessert they have a bakery department that sells all types of Italian cookies, cakes, breads, pastries you name it they have it. As I walked around there were employees giving out samples of a variety of foods. Everything I tried was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. This store has everything neatly displayed and very clean. I spent 2 hours here. I bought their brand of homemade imported extra virgin olive oil, antipasto, cheese & spinach ravioli's,bread, dried farro, vegetables, and cheeses. This store is a bit pricey but the quality and variety are simply amazing! There is a large free parking lot. You can grab a shopping cart, and near the entrance there are a few handicapped spots. I will definitely be back it's worth the trip. We drove an hour

Packaging wise was decent, the knots were packed well, but the sauce container melted :( They were both delicious and were received in a timely manner, it was hard to track on the app so we had to call the restaurant, specifically. The best advice I can give you is delivery is fine. Take out is fine, sit down on the formal side…read moreis ok. Under no circumstance sit down on their casual seating on the right when you walk in. First it's not a seat yourself. A waiter will assign themselves to you regardless of you want one or not. That is by far the least of the issues, this place employs an army of delivery drivers who take over the booths and hang out while your trying to eat with your family, it makes it very uncomfortable. I came in looking to sit down and eat and some women behind the counter starts yelling at the guys to move so I can sit down in the last free booth, The pizza is OK, trust me barstool is not coming here. There is worse. The fact that all the workers take over multiple booths like it's a place to hang out is beyond bizzare. They class soccer games on their phones and talk very loudly like there in a social club. It makes it very uncomfortable. I will never sit down and eat again inside until they put their customers first,
