The course itself is nice, but there are a lot of empty black spots and since it's meant to be a night course, it kind of sucks that like 5-7 holes aren't really playable because it's too dark. It was a really beautiful day, perfect weather to be outside for a few hours. We spent time on the driving range first, then played the course, and wrapped things up with food and drinks at the restaurant and bar. We chose to walk the course for the exercise and slower pace, and they knocked $10 off our rate, that was a nice surprise. Another nice surprise was that golfing there includes a small bucket of balls to warm up on the driving range, nice! Wait, they have "Top-Golf'esque tech" on their driving range too?!?! Yup!! More below. It was a full, relaxed, fun afternoon. Here were my thoughts... * Service: service was consistently super friendly across the board, from the range to the course to the bar. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely nice and welcoming. Two waitresses weren't the most attentive or friendly when we got to the outside bar, but they were brief and the male bartenders more than made up for it, they were awesome. There was one thing that took away from the experience for me, likely not a big deal for those who play more. A course employee asked us to keep up the pace. He couldn't have been nicer about it, genuinely polite and friendly, but I really don't like that kind of pressure when I'm out there to relax and enjoy myself, life has enough pressure outside the course, I'm there to relax, have fun and chill. We weren't playing slow and there weren't groups stacked up behind us, so the added stress just wasn't necessary, it pulled me out of the moment. *Golf Course & Driving Range: the driving range was a lot of fun. A small bucket comes with a game, which was a nice surprise. Shockingly there are tech and digital screens that track your shots and give stats, very Topgolf like, so cool and surprising to see here! The course itself is nice and well kept, relatively short, with a lot of par 3s. There's quite a bit of desert golf, which personally isn't my favorite, I like a bit more grass to catch my not expertly hit balls. *Food & Drinks: the brisket burger was excellent, meaty, juicy, lightly smoky, warm and dripping in the best way. It came with a slice of smoked cheese, lettuce, tomato, and grilled onion, all on a soft, thick, chewy bun. It was delicious! The fries were great, crispy, warm, and thick with a good solid potatoey (is that a word?) bite. Beers were $9 each, not cheap, but they were ice cold, refreshing, and served with a helpful happy attitude by the bartenders. Nice selection too. They were perfect after walking 18 holes and occasionally (cough, cough) chasing a ball off the fairway. *Value: prices weren't cheap, but they also weren't outrageous, some of the lower prices in town. For the quality of the golf, the range technology, and especially the food, everything felt reasonable and fair. *Overall: this was a fun all-in experience with a great driving range, friendly service, decent golf, and surprisingly great food and drinks. Honestly, it was 5-6 hours extremely well spent and I'd happily do it again. I'm looking forward to it. And I recommend you give this place a try! Grass Clippings is a total game-changer for a fun evening out! This outdoor golf range is like Top Golf--but 500 times better. You can rent different bays at half the price of similar venues, which is a huge win. We loved it so much that our family went back twice during our recent visit to PHX! The bay seating is super comfy, and every employee we met was friendly, making the experience even better. As far as food goes, i would recommend coming hungry! They have an amazing taco food truck that has the best Mahi taco i've had in a long time. They also have a cool bar with ample seating to hang with friends and family. I can't forget to mention their giftshop- they had really high quality apparel, hats, and clothes up for purchase- which makes the perfect keepsake for your trip back home. So. Much. Potential. This place gets better every time I visit. On my last round, there were still some growing pains that impact my rating, but I'm confident this place is going to be 5-star in no time. Knock: it's expensive - priced for potential not reality maybe. Last round included driving range balls but it was closed under construction. So many dirt walkways. I don't think I've ever been so dusty getting back in my car. Warm beer from the temporary bar setup at the entrance - bummer - at least the cart girl had drinks on ice. Wins: The best food truck I've ever had at a golf course. The shrimp burrito was crazy delicious. The unique play under the lights was a total blast. Every time it's just fun - and the vibes at this course are chill and modern. Zero stuffy country club energy here. If you've got your iron game on point, you can really flex on this course. This review is to bring attention to the recent change in the grass pass. $40/mo for range play is reasonable. We signed up in the summer and 2 weeks after signing up they closed the range. A couple weeks later they canceled the pass because of how long the range was closed, said they would offer a free round but then never really provided clarification on those details. It was closed for a while. Finally opened up and started going again late summer and now that the weather is getting nicer we got an email saying the range pass is going to be $65/mo! I could see a $5 or $10 increase but $25?! Come on... read more

The only twighlight golf in Scottsdale which exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff that serves alcohol by the 1st hole and a Mexican food truck that can be deliver your food to you while playing. The driving range was still under construction but the host mentioned they were still adding more to the course and it should be fully completed by the end of year. We started with 9 holes but ended up playing a full 18 as it was that much fun. As I'm a lefty and didn't bring my clubs, they do offer rentals and a 4 seater power cart. Fun, but still needs some work. The golf was fun until the sun went down. The tee boxes are pretty dark while the rest of the fairway is lit up. We tried to get a drink beforehand at the outdoor bar and the staff couldn't have been more inconvenienced by pretty much everyone there. Was very excited to try this place after hearing it was 100% lite at night. The thought being that I could play here once a week during the summer. Unfortuantely, not the case. Weekends, a round is $100 after 6pm. $75 during prime time hours during the week. My experience, I paid the $100 and was never able to play because of lighting. I was told that I had a $100 credit on my account. Not the case. I rebooked a tee time at $75 for the round. Because of their systems, I in essence paid $100+tax for a $75 round. To the get remaining balance, I was told to call management. Bottom line, I will not be back because of this situation plus tee mats, and many of the things mentioned in other people's comments. This place is far from being ready for prime time as an alternative. I felt like I was playing at a trailer park. On a positive note... Taco food truck was great and reasonably priced. I needed to put an event together with less than two weeks notice. Working with Scott and Brian was extremely easy and the end results were perfect. Great golf, excellent food, and very hospitable staff. Love playing as 6-somes. Definitely a very fun-sentric atmosphere that does not sacrifice quality. Had a grass pass for their driving range that they offered monthly for $40 bucks which was a great deal and was a big reason I would frequent the course so much. Just found out today they have raised their monthly range pass from $40 to $65 dollars and cancelled my membership without reaching out to me whatsoever. All I received was an email from the 3rd party company they use to renew the memberships about the fact they cancelled my membership without my knowledge. Never informed me of the rate increase and never asked if I wanted to re-new my membership before cancelling. Very poorly run facility, and to top it off, they have a really bad track record for their top tracer system malfunctioning and not working correctly, which is the main reason most people come to this range in the first place. Restaurant is also very overpriced for what they offer. read more

This was so much fun. I'm surprised more courses haven't opened a night golf option. Especially with the warm weather in Arizona. You can play nine holes or an extra $25 to play 18. The glow balls in the picture are not included. Super comfy golf carts with headlights, taillights, leather seats, and Bluetooth capabilities to hook up music on your phone. This is very casual where you can play a bunch of par 3's averaging 110-120 yards. Fun Tip: I recommend buying a pack of glow balls on Amazon to make it a more fun experience. Night golf is a VIBE. This course is all par 3, with the exception of 5 par 4s on the back 9 during the day. Once the sun goes down & the stadium lights turn on, the tees are moved up to transition the course to all par 3s. Still a work in progress, but the development plans are coming along well for the project! Horrible experience! Never playing here again. Had a nice early tee time but this "men's group" had a nice tournament that were playing extremely slow. When approaching for them to speed up they proceed to hell and crush at our group. Then approach as we are leaving to not "rush" them again. This "tournament" is a joke the slow groups played in front should not be playing until they learn pace of play. Not coming back here for a long time and telling my friends as well. read more
