The Kimball-Jenkins Estate has been gracing the old estate section of New Hampshire's capital city since before the American Revolution. A stone's throw from the site of the first Garrison House built during the French and Indian Wars in the 1740s, the site of the first house built in Concord NH in 1726, and the beautiful, Greek Revival home of President Franklin Pierce, 14th President of the United States. The Kimball-Jenkins Estate is a gorgeous Victorian estate with several annex buildings. The main building houses events and part of the display collection, which this month had beautiful paintings drawn by former Kimball-Jenkins students. I especially liked some that had a little Pollock infusion. The annex buildings house the Academy of Arts and the carriage house is used for special events. In several visits here, I've been in two different events at the carriage house, which is a superb place for events. The rest of the campus is also beautiful and well suited for weddings or just a stroll. A unique, beautiful, and historical gem in New Hampshire's Capital City.

Things I would fix: Leave the buffet station out longer. It seems like the food was bright out then packed up WAY faster than people could eat. The coffee station should be left out till the END. Was packed up an hour prior to end. People who were drinking (or working the wedding) all night should have the choice of coffee before they leave. **set up a small table of such for VENDORS. I saw vendors eating in the lobby because they had no place to eat or sit. Not cool.

I am not sure if it varies from year to year but i noticed it was only $1000 for a year membership, if you compare that to some of the other courses in New Englad that seems to be really fair. This is a municipal maintained course, and typically that means that they don't have the same resources private clubs have but personally i dont think you would ever know. My only complaint is that the range is pretty close to the first hole and you will find 3-4 dozen range balls all over the 1st hole.

"These Aren't Free"…read more Went to this establishment to tour/review for a corporate event which included 2 days of golf, lunch's, breakfasts , and two nights of dinners. As one of the largest banks in the country my budget was in excess of 7 figures expecting to bring about 200 people to this event. We were going to fly folks into MHT and transport via limousine to the event which would be a Monday Tuesday Wednesday. Typical slower days at courses. Unfortunately they really messed up. When I arrived yesterday during an all day rain the place was pretty empty. We walked in and toured the clubhouse on our own and decided to hit a few balls in the simulator since there was no one there. A few minutes later a few gentleman arrived and started milling around. They said nothing to us. About two minutes later the "Pro" showed up and immediately demanded in a condescending tone..."Did you check in downstairs...these aren't free!!!" I said no and he immediately said..." you can't just use these we have groups using them". I said OK and left the simulator. This "Pro" who runs the course clearly has anger issues and would rather yell than talk and have a civilized conversation. As we walked out my 11 year old son said..."Dad I guess that's why you don't tell anyone who you are so you get to really see how they treat people". My son learned a great lesson that day and this place lost about a $1 million dollar event. This place won't be in business long with an employee like this dealing with people. Best to stay away and play someplace else and certainly do not host an event there.

First time ever on the course and I was impressed with the layout, yardage and variety, generous fairways and challenging greens. The back nine is tree lined and gorgeous, beckoning you to stand and deliver on every shot. A bit of up and down, but not tiring or limiting enjoyment. The front nine is a completely different course welcoming and open with easily managed hazards. The clubhouse was awesome and the spacious bar easily seats dozens with a stunning overlook of the back nine. Can't understand the poor reviews, cause I'd happily play this course any day and twice on Sunday. Come see for yourself!

The children were very young and the equipment was geared for little kids. It is great for younger kids. We stayed for one hour and the kids were bored and ready to go.
