We were lucky enough to have Sue as our instructor--she is incredibly talented, patient, and such an amazing teacher. Within the first hour of our very first class, she had us making our own pieces! Sue makes sure every student's questions are answered and that everyone gets the individual support they need. Her love for pottery is truly contagious, and she spends each class cheering on her students, encouraging them to try new things, and helping them reach their goals. She also took the time to look back through our finished pieces with us, talking about what we had made, what we had learned, and how much we had improved throughout the class. By the end of the 10 weeks, we had a whole collection of pots that we had thrown, trimmed, and glazed ourselves. It was so rewarding to look back at what we created and see how much we had learned and improved. I loved the class so much that I immediately signed up for another pottery wheel class with Sue! She has beautiful gardens at her studio and uses them for inspiration. She took us for a tour of her gardens and we were able to select leaves to use in our design. She guided us through the entire lesson. The first session we formed the plate and trimmed it and got it ready. We came back a week later to glaze the pieces (Wendy had bisque fired the pieces for us in between classes). Our second class we learned about glazes and we "painted" our pieces. We helped load our work into the kiln and Wendy had us pick up our leaves a few days later. We are going to book more classes!

After taking a 7-year break from school, SNHU's online program made the most sense for me when I decided to go back. From having an amazing admissions advisor who helped me through the application and course registration process to an academic advisor who regularly checked in and made sure I felt confident throughout my program, I always felt supported. The coursework was very manageable while working full-time, and they offer so many helpful resources, including 24/7 tutoring. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to finish my degree, and I already look forward to coming back next year to start my master's program!

This is an update to a previous review…read more SNHU appears to be an institution that believes it can do whatever it wants and get away with it because people's attention spans are short and they tend to give up easily. In July I inquired with my advisor about dropping a course due to a hostile instructor that I (and at least three other people in the course) had already submitted a complaint about to the school. Because the school didn't seem to care and offered no recourse for a rogue instructor to me or the handful of other students who submitted similar complaints, continuing in the course was untenable. I asked my advisor (on a recorded line) in plain English if there were any financial aid repercussions or if I had to take any further steps to withdraw from the course. He assured me, again, on a recorded line, there were not. We then went forward with withdrawing. To my surprise a month later my Pell Grant was stripped away due to the withdrawal. I contacted advising who investigated the issue and who took accountability for the misinformation provided to me by SNHU itself. They led me to file a dispute to have that money returned to me as my family relies on my financial aid while I am in school. While I filed this dispute, due to the previous issue with the school taking no action on an instructor who who grades in an arbitrary and hostile manner and then retaliates once reported and the dissatisfaction with the misinformation and lack of integrity I saw in SNHU as a whole at that point, I made the difficult choice to withdraw. Several weeks later, the dispute team got back to me. I had won the dispute, however their remedy was to provide me with a tuition credit for a future course. To a school that was very well aware I had withdrawn from due to these issues. This is not a remedy at all. When I responded to say as much and demand the school actually correct their error, Ben in Disputes changed his entire story to inform me that the advisor HAD told me about the penalty and HAD told me to contact SFS and so they would not be remedying their error. The tuition credit was simply a good faith offer. My calls with advising (wherein they admitted fault and took accountability) were done on a recorded line. Ben deciding to lie and gaslight me in order for the school to not have to remedy their mistakes does not erase those recorded calls (which I also have because I knew SNHU would move with absolutely zero integrity). Never waste your time with this school. As I informed Ben, if my issue is not remedied in two business days I'm filing complaints with every single government body overseeing higher education along with the attorney general for consumer protection and going to the media. Misinforming students on financial aid is a violation of federal law that oversees aid. SNHU does what SNHU does because they know people will give in and give up once their strictly performative dispute process denies them. I am not the only student they have done this to. The dispute process at this school is purely performative to satisfy government regulations. There is absolutely no support or recourse for students who attend this school which is comfortable violating federal financial aid guidelines and laws. All of this over less than a thousand dollars. What a good look on a University. As an add on, the instructor previously mentioned in my review was the original woman who adopted Natalia Grace and brought her to "little people shows." If nothing else shows how much integrity matters at SNHU, this should.

I was so furious by lunchtime and could not think of a single healthy coping mechanism lol I was like "I wish I could just break some things......." and with the combination of Yelp and Google - I found Just Smash It. (Is that growth?) It was super easy to book, pay, and sign the waivers online so I appreciated that. I committed to driving from the North Shore to Avon after work on a Friday so you know I was absolutely fuming and could not calm down. It was around $84 for the 'LET IT OUT!!!" private package since it was just me. I showed up and I can't remember the guys name, but he was very nice and got me all sorted to start with coveralls and giving me the rundown. They even let you pick music so that was necessary. I need to have a playlist and some set songs ready next time, but he put on my screamy angry music so that helped. I got 3 crates of glass and a big tv to absolutely wreck. I believe they book in 30 minute windows and I just went ham for like 15 minutes with baseball bats and a pry bar tbh and was exhausted after that. I talked to another gentleman after and he was showing the upgrades like toilets, printers, microwaves - all sorts of things since I was curious, but it was my first time so I was good with what I had. It was plenty and definitely burned off some rage. I am still sore 2 days later. Overall, i'm a fan and will definitely be back. The only thing that's a little odd is parking, but I parked in the lot that's like the next turn after the building where the civic/town offices are. It's a decent-sized parking lot and was empty so I would recommend that. Everything else was extremely easy and they're a small family-run business so I love that. If you have a little extra rage in the cage - this is a great option, especially if you can't afford a misdemeanor or time in prison.
