EMAIL to Grapevine Ford: To: Sean George sgeorge@grapevineford.com; DLewis@grapevineford.com DLewis@grapevineford.com Sent: Saturday, December 29, 2012, 2:19:29 PM CST Subject: Trouble with this car I purchased: Re: Your next vehicle is here at Grapevine Ford Lincoln Hello Sean, I purchased this car on Thursday, December 2012. My wife had an issue with the car today Saturday December 29, 2012 around 12:45 PM. She was making a left hand turn on Southlake Blvd and her new Ford Focus stalled then she heard a loud popping sound. Luckily, she did not get ran over. She then limped the car back home. As per our conversation around 2 PM today I would like this car replaced with another one of the same style since this car is only 2 days old. You stated the you will do whatever it takes when I requested the car to be replaced. I am glad to hear you agree with replacing the vehicle, I called and texted Daren Lewis around 1:18 pm and he returned my call promptly. Unfortunately, I interrupted him during a funeral. Once again, I will call you on Monday, December 31st, 2012. Thanks in advance, Rxxxx Gxxxx EMAIL to Ford Corporate: To: jhackett@ford.com Cc: wford@ford.com, eliaison@ford.com, Hello Jimmy, My wife has had problems with this car since the day after it was purchased in 2013. The car has been at Grapevine Ford many times in the past to repair this transmission unsuccessfully. Grapevine Ford's main reply was that my wife needs to accelerate faster to prevent the transmission from bucking and stalling the car. Wrong answer!!! It was explained to Grapevine in detail as to the seriousness of the danger when the car stalls. This fell on deaf ears. My wife has been nearly hit by other cars on numerous occasions when the car shutters and stops without any warning. This has been happening since the car was purchased. I have emails stating this fact the day after the car was purchased. The problem with the transmission is a big safety issue when the car stalls and shutters with oncoming traffic, especially when turning left. I contacted Grapevine Ford a few weeks ago and they did no return my call. This is unacceptable. Today, I contacted your customer service in the Philippines. I then requested to speak to someone in America with no success. This is also unacceptable. I then called your corporate phone number and was transferred to a voice mail stating that Ford would contact the next business. Unacceptable again. Please remember you did not give me the car and allow me to pay the following day! With all the above being said I want this made right ASAP. I am tired of this car bucking, jumping, and stalling in dangerous situations. Also, tired of making excuses for Ford as to why this car's transmission make so much noise. Looking forward to hearing from you soon, read more

Update of my previous review of Grapevine Ford.( please see below. ) After over 4 months of battling with Grapevine Ford to get the 3500.00 they have owed me since January 14th, they finally fedex-ed me my rebate check. It came as no surprise to me that the check they sent STILL had my address incorrect after 4 months of trying to correct that information with at least 20 people in sales, management, customer service, and marketing. But whatever- at least I was happy to get my money and was thrilled to deposit the check and to never have to have anything to do with these malignant ass-hats again. So I checked my bank balance today and guess what- the check bounced! Seriously. They stopped payment on the check. Apparently they are actually going to actually make me file a fraud complaint against them with the Texas State Attorney General's office, file a civil arbitration case against them, and report them to the hot check division of the Dallas County district attorney's office to get my stinking rebate check. My God. I have a job and a life and other things to do than fight with Grapevine Ford for my rebate. I have no idea what on earth I have done to deserve to be treated like this. They aren't denying that I am owed the money. They just are unwilling or unable to give it to me. I don't know what to make of it or what to even think. They are the worst bunch of human beings I have ever dealt with. If you are dumb enough to buy a car from these people make sure you don't take the cash rebate as cash or you too could have a second full-time job fighting with a car dealer. We signed a contract. I upheld my end of the deal and made my payments every month. I was supposed to get 3500 as a cash rebate as part of the deal, which neither Ford nor Grapevine Ford has paid me to date. I have asked them to either give me my money or to take the car back and they said that if I dropped off the car it would just sit there until it was repossessed. I will be sure to let you all know how the legal battle goes. Lovely folks! read more

Living in South Florida leaves me at quite a disadvantage when it comes to car shopping. Unfortunately I had to do a nationwide search to get a decent price and deal with more than my fair share of undesirable story telling bait and switch scam artists for more than 2 months. Until I ran into an ad for a 2016 F150 by Grapevine Ford in Grapevine Tx. I called to inquire about the vehicle and spoke to Xavier Perez. Super nice guy. Very professional, no pressure, no hassle, and most important..... No BS. We spoke about the truck for 3 minutes then another 5 minutes on numbers and the deal was done. My price was very competitive compared to everything else I had seen in my 2 month search, so I didn't feel the need to low ball the guy. 5 minutes later I booked a flight to DFW to arrive at noon the next day. I arrived at DFW at 12:15 and Xavier was there to pick me up 3 minutes later. Being somewhat skeptical about the deal I made the night before, I was introduced briefly to the sales manager Nick Power with the paperwork in hand, only to notice that the negotiating price was honored without any changes whatsoever. Xavier proceeded to give me a tour on my new set of wheels while the paperwork was in process. My last stop was with finance manager James Brown. The guy is a total asset to the company. The guy is a wizard with numbers, didn't push to sell me anything else, and is the friendliest guy you can ever hope to meet. I was in and out in 2 hours flat and heading south to Miami with my 2016 F150. Awesome ride. And the 305 Ecoboost......... It's a truck on steroids. The thing is a rocket. Note to Grapevine Ford upper management. Kudos to Xavier Perez and James Brown. These guys are exemplify proficiency and professionalism. Frank Perez, Miami,Fl. read more

I've been using Grapevine Ford service for about 4 years since I bought my last F-150 there. I've had great quality in all warranty as well as out of warranty work. Btw, GVF is about 10 miles further than my "local" dealer. The service is that much better that I don't mind the additional drive. My most recent repair was for tears in my bed liner of said truckster that were self induced by my daughter while using it as her moving van. Cody Friend, an Assistant Service Manager, helped me as the liner was a spray in that was done off site by a local vendor and Cody is the go to guy for that type repair with the vendor. He got the truck back from the vendor at the promised time, called me in advance to let me know the status and that it would be done as promised and on his own initiative, arranged for their courtesy driver to pick me up so I could get there to pick up my pick-up. When I got there I was very pleasantly surprised by not just repairs but a new bed-liner had been sprayed in. Best of all: No charge. Cody had determined that the original was faulty by the way it was torn and arranged from the vendor to spray in a new one, free. Which says a lot for his knowledge and initiative in helping out the customer. It also says a lot to me about their vendor as he honored his commitment to standing by his own work. GVF service will continue to get my business in the future. It's nice doing business with Cody Friend, GVF Service and their vendors who obviously go above and beyond in the quality of work and how they deal with their customers. read more

OUT OF STATE BUYER! PLEASE READ THIS! Through AutoTrader, I found the exact car for which I had been looking. When I made my first contact to Grapevine Ford, I was connected with Debi H. She was not pushy or belligerent, but very helpful in answering all the questions I had about the car. When I made my offer, she was patient to work back and forth with me and the sales manager. When my offer was accepted, she did a video walk-around to show my every detail possible about the car. She did not hide anything from me. It was a bit of risk for me (money and time) to fly from KY to TX to do this deal. When I arrived at DFW airport, the dealership sent over a shuttle to pick me up (thanks Richard!). When I arrived at the dealership, Debi had breakfast (egg McMuffins) waiting for me. After a test drive and some paperwork, I met with James Brown (no, not THAT James Brown) to complete the financial details. He was top notch as well. Though he was very professional, he was very personable and friendly. The financial aspect (including tax and license from my state) could not have been smoother. I even had a better payment than what I was originally quoted! GET THIS: I was picked up at the airport at 8:15am and was driving away from the dealership, with my new purchase, at 10:30am. In just two hours and fifteen minutes, an out-of-state buyer had purchased and liscenced a car in a different state! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thanks Grapevine Ford! read more

I'm Miranda at Street Smart Collision I have been working here since the first of the New Year and this is my first job in this profession and I must say it's a little more challenging than I anticipated. When I was calling around comparing pricing there were many parts reps short and impatient at times, one place I didn't even call back, and before I started it was one of their biggest parts store. Then Phil Torres stopped by and introduced himself and left the DFW-OEM Directory. I informed him I'm new to the business and it's hard to find a good parts guy that can accommodate to my questions and have patients. He informed me that anyone I call from the list will be helpful. So the first place I called was Grapevine Ford and the gentlemen was pleasant and easy to understand and didn't rush me off the phone, and the prices were all $2-$20 cheaper than anywhere else, plus they deliver the same day. Next time I had a dilemma and couldn't find the part through Audatex and didn't know what the part was called, so with no hesitation Kevin gave me his cell number and figured out what I need via pictures sent. I'm so Thankful for Kevin and Craig anytime a Ford pulls in the yard to be repaired Grapevine Ford is my go to EVERYTIME!!! I have had several situations that I needed Kevin's expertise and he has exceeded my expectations every time. Thank You Kevin, Craig, & Grapevine Ford!!!! read more

After visiting two other car dealers, we decided to buy our new car from Grapevine Ford. I would rather have a root canal than buy a car, mostly because of the sales tactics of many dealers. At one dealer, there was even the stereotypical "What's it gonna take to get you to buy a car TODAY!" guy. But at Grapevine Ford, we met Ricky Meppelink and our experience working with him was nothing like that. He was friendly, helpful and worked to get us the car we wanted. He was just a regular guy who was patient and willing to let us have the time we needed to make the best decision for us. After we completed the purchase, he even offered tips on the best way to expedite service when we bring to car in for oil changes, etc. David Chappelle, the finance guy, didn't try to push us into things we did not want. He listened to what we wanted to do, offered a few options and allowed us to make our own decision concerning financing without the pressure. He was also just a regular guy who seemed to just want to help us get what we wanted, unlike many car dealer finance people who are all about the up-sale. If you are looking for a Ford, I recommend going to Grapevine Ford and asking for Ricky Meppelink. Then, if you decide to buy a car from him, tell him you want to work the financing out with David Chappelle. read more

Austin Tompkins, Bob, and James were absolutely outstanding. They went far beyond expectations in both customer service and delivery on every promise made. James ensured we were in and out of finance in 20 mins. The fastest car buying experience. Bob did everything possible for us. Jumping through hoops to keep us happy and satisfied. Checking up with us every step of the way. And keeping his word on all promises. Austin was outstanding. And according to my wife, ruggedly handsome. He was able to communicate with us extremely well and explain all the features of our vehicles. He was also an expert with Ford Sync technology. As previous owners of ford vehicles he taught us more than we knew even existed. He offered to buy us food from the cafe out of his own pockets while we were waiting. He explained the entire buying process in easy to understand wording. He was great introducing us to members of the service department and manager in charge of customer service. We couldn't ask for a better salesman. We will definitely be referring our friends and family to Grapevine Ford. The Grapevine managed to pull this off on the last day of the month too! I am not an easy man to please, however the Grapevine Ford team deserves high praise. Thanks for an excellent buying experience. read more

I went in to have my truck serviced on a Saturday morning not planning to purchase a new truck. I was just waiting for wife to pick me up and was wondering the lot with my daughter when James stopped me in the lot to visit. I mentioned to him I wasn't really in the market. He wasn't pushy. He just mentioned it was Ford Truck month. He let me look at a couple of trucks on the lot and then I left. When I returned to pick up my truck being serviced I stopped in sales to ask for James to see what kind of deal I could get. Unfortunately James was busy with another customer. However, he took the time to greet me and but he put with Andrew Boaz another sales person. Andrew was great. He was young, witty, energetic, and certainly not pushy. His wit isn't for everyone, but for me he was a perfect fit. He made the buying experience much more enjoyable than my prior experiences. We negotiated for a while and then I met with Cameron in Finance who was equally nice. After some, back and forth we all came to a fair agreement, and I purchased a brand new Ford F150 4x4. Also, during the process James would periodically check on me so I thought that was nice as well. Overall great experience and would definitely go back to buy another vehicle if I could work with these guys again. read more

This was by far the best car buying experience I have had. Matt Bracken made sure all our questions were answered and we left satisfied. He wanted us to get the car we wanted at the best price, and we did. The finance department and Matt tried like crazy to get the best deal they could get us. And they DID! Matt was always available for me to text or call him to check on the status of our deal and as soon as it came in, he let us know and set up a time for us to come get our car. When we finally made it, the service department found a bubble in the tint and they wanted to make sure it was correct before we took it home. Matt Stone helped us with all the paperwork and explained everything in detail. He made sure we got what we needed! They kept the car for 2 more days fixing the tint and Matt Bracken got us a new Mustang to drive as a loaner!! When my car was finally ready for pickup, Matt made sure I left with a full tank of gas and no more questions! The car was out front waiting on me with the AC on, because it was so hot! I would recommend Grapevine Ford to anyone looking for a new car, when we need another vehicle, this will be the FIRST place we go to!! read more

Purchased a used vehicle from Ty Young at Grapevine Ford earlier this year. Ty promised a lot of things that would be fixed after I purchased the car. I was skeptical at first, and was afraid that I would be pushed aside as time went on. But Ty was absolutely a man of his word. The rear carpet had a large chunk of crud that Ty said would be removed and cleaned or he would have the carpet replaced. The crud could not be removed so he replaced the carpet with new. I was even given a loaner car during the 5 days the carpet was being worked on. He also said that the car would be cleaned before I took possession because there was what looked like a bunch of bugs spattered across the front bumper and sideview mirrors. Upon receiving the car, after signing the paperwork, the bug spatter was still there. When we looked closer it was actually missing paint. Ty assured me that the problem would be fixed. It took a few scheduling snafus but I picked up the car last week and the paint job looks perfect. I could not be happier. If your looking to purchase a used car from someone you can trust, call Ty Young at Grapevine Ford. read more

My husband and I just purchased a 2013 Ford Explorer XLT. from Grapevine Ford. We could not have been treated any nicer. David Moore was a very pleasant, helpful, and patient salesman. We thought we were interested in a 2011 used vehicle that we saw on the website. After driving 60 miles, we learned that the car had been sold the day before. Needless to say, we were very disappointed. Mr. Moore talked with us about a new Explorer, which we did not think we could afford. He kept working with us until a deal was reached. If it had not been for Mr. Moore's professionalism and patience, we would have gone elsewhere. We have purchased several cars in the past, but Mr. Moore was the best sales representative that we have ever worked with. We are not only pleased with the vehicle, but we feel that we have someone that will help us, should we have problems in the future. Integrity is very important to us, and it was displayed in a very professional manner by Mr. David Moore. We highly recommend Grapevine Ford and David Moore!!!! Monroe Wallis Godley, Texas read more

I purchased a truck from Grapevine Ford on July 9, 2012 and for the first time in my car buying experience I was completely satisfied with the price of the vehicle. I went into the dealership and I was met by my Salesman Fofee, I told him I was there to buy a 2010 ford f-150 Super Crew silver in color and at a definite price I wanted to pay July 7. First, we checked the lot for the truck there wasn't one. Second, we checked the inventory online there wasn't one there. So after not finding what I wanted on that saturday and leaving the Dealership you would think the saleman would just count that deal as a lost, And this is why I appreciated Fofee, he call me back later that day to let me know he was still looking for the truck I wanted and he would give me a call when find one. Monday he called to tell me the truck was on the lot and that he was holding it for me. After checking the vehicle over and finding out that the truck was a 2011 which is a plus, I bought it. And I also like to thank the sales managers who worked to complete the sale. read more

I wasnt looking forward to buying another car after my Cadillac CTS was totaled from hail damage. I knew I would have a hard time finding a car I would like as much, for a price I could afford. And being in the middle of the summer, with temps in the hundreds, wasn't gonna help either! But after meeting salesman, Zac Grogean, and all the running and cooling off, many different cars for me to test drive, it was actually a pleasure. I'm sure it wasn't much fun for him, but he couldn't have been more accomendating and helpful in finding me the right car. He always had a smile on his face and went out of his way to make sure I would be happy with every car I test drove. When he found out just what all I wanted, AND it was at another dealorship, he did not hestitate to find more info about it and assured me that, even tho it meant buying from someone else, he would rather me be happy with my purchase. What a guy!!! I know I'll never look for another car again, in my lifetime, without Zac Grogeans help!! Thanks Zac!! read more

I have bought a number of cars during my driving career. I must say that Grapevine Ford was the best I have ever experienced. I didn't feel pressured to buy a car as soon as I walked in the door. Other dealerships they wait like vultures for their pray. Not at Grapevine Ford. Austin Tompkins is by far the best new car salesperson I have ever worked with. He wanted to truly understand my needs and far exceeded expectations in fulfilling them. He was honest, open, very personable and experienced. He wasn't all about the sale but rather the experience I had while there. If you want to buy a car from one of the best, go see Austin. Bob Little came through with a price where I needed to be. There was no going back and forth on pricing. He got it right the first time. James in finance was so fast and efficient--the best experience with any finance person ever. I have been spreading the word where I work and when someone is in the market for a new car I will make sure I send them to Grapevine Ford. Susan W read more

We first went online to look at the 2014 vehicles Grapevine Ford had. We went ahead and requested someone call us. Within minutes we were getting a phone call. Could not believe we got a call so soon. The salesperson was very nice & we made an apt for the next night. When we got to the dealership the salesperson we meet with was actually a used car salesman so he found someone for us to deal with very quickly and then came back several times to make sure we were happy. Both sales people were extremely nice & make us feel important. We test drove the vehicle we were looking at, a 2014 F150, and we wound up buying the truck. We were only in the dealership for maybe 3 hours. I think that was a record, at least it was for us. Buying a vehicle usually is an all day event. When I brought the truck back a few days later to pick up the license plate & tags the service person was extremely nice & helpful. You also get a free car wash every time you bring in your vehicle. We had a very good experience! read more

After buying a brand new vehicle AND a $3500 extended warranty, I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Buying the truck was horrible; it was first sold out from under me AFTER I had signed all the papers and completed the financing. I usually complain about having to wait all day in the dealership when buying a vehicle, but this took multiple days. They continued to make it a better deal, so I stuck with it - but would not ever do it again. Now that it has 12,000 miles on it and is in the shop for warranty issues, I cannot get a loaner car which was "promised" by the salesman and finance people any time I needed work done which is a big reason I bought the warranty. I have continued to be told lies and the result is always disappointing. Unfortunately, I have heard much better things about other dealerships, so I will take my business elsewhere next time and it likely will not be a Ford. I also have the Zaktek and they didn't touch the interior. Waste of money and time for a lousy car wash. read more

My experience here was not flawless, but the service during and after the sale as well as addressing my issues and concerns is why I am giving them 4 stars. Specifically, Julian Mahn, and his attitude throughout the entire process, gives me the confidence to tell anyone else that this is the place you should go for your next vehicle. I purchased a 2014 F150 XLT. Within 2 weeks, I had my liner sprayed in, the all weather floormats put in, and my license plates and registration delivered. Julian always greeted my wife and I with a smile, and calmly addressed all of my concerns, even when we hit a few bumps in the Process. I am always impressed with someone who can conduct themselves professionally, when there are issues, and they consistently follow up to make sure the customer is totally satisfied. Again, the entire experience with my salesman Julian and Mel from Finance, makes me confident to encourage anyone to purchase a new vehicle here! Great Job! read more
