I have two extremely large, double coated dogs: one Great Pyrenees and one Newfoundland. I took the Pyrenees in first. He was groomed so well that he looked like a different dog. They used the whitening shampoo that I requested and trimmed and brushed him so well. Today was the Newfoundland. He has skin issues and gucky ears. I got him back looking gorgeous and smelling fresh. I had a great experience with the ladies. Prices are very reasonable too. We will definitely be going back!! read more

Absolutely the best place to go when you have been met with adversity because you have a large dog. Plus, they were understanding of my concerns and listened to what I needed. They made suggestions based on their experience, and what would work for me and my back pain as well as being handicapped. Then they went above and beyond with my fur baby because when they called, they told me exactly how he did which is completely different from the chain groomers we had tried. When I picked up my Giant Schnauzer, not only was he calm, but he was also happy with the ladies that worked there and said goodbye on his way out. I brought my 8 yr old cat in to get shaved for the first time. I was nervous that he wouldnt handle the stress well. The girls took the time to answer all of my questions and brought him back right away so I could sit and watch him. They stopped blow drying the other pets they were working on to keep my kitty calm. One girl sat and shaved him very quickly while the other girl sat and petted his head to keep him calm. I was so impressed with how they treated my baby and very happy with their patience of dealing with a nervous mom. I would definitely go back again! read more

We (our boys and I) followed our previous groomer to the Grapevine Diggidy Dog location. The review is not based on her as a groomer but on "Diggidy Dog". Upon walking into the location it does have that "dirty wet dog smell". Unlike other grooming location you will find that there carpeted areas. This will be the reason for the smells and for me also does pose a health issue in my mind due to accidents they are out of everyone's control. Also, there have been times, we didn't feel our dogs returned as clean a smell as they have had leaving other locations or when they left our home. It was more of a "dirty water" "dirty dog" smell they had to them. My other issue...it is understandable that during the day they would be busy, however I have left multiple messages and have not received a return call. They do offer self service bookings however, my messages included that this too was not working. The only reason I was coming to Diggidy Dog was the groomer we followed. However, if it was not for her I would not have walked into this facility. Since, May I have tried leaving messages and of course found another clean facility which our dogs were well taken care of smelling nicely. We moved on leaving messages and speaking to inform our groomer was not possible. read more

Not the quality of customer service I would recommend, employees don't appreciate the customers time. Even though they do a good job grooming, their ability to schedule appointments and keep them is inadequate. Nobody answers phone most of the time, it's a miracle if they call back on the phone number given. read more

Took my somewhat grumpy Saint Bernard, Sadie, here. When entering the staff was very kind. They were very gentle with Sadie and Sadie warmed right up to them. They called me about 2 hours later and said she was ready. When I got there I asked how she did and they were very kind and said she did good but was very nervous. They made me feel that she was safe with them and I didn't have to be nervous about taking and leaving her there. They asked me what I wanted done and I told them. When I saw her they did everything perfectly. The best part is the cost was very responsible. I was expecting way over 100 but that wasn't the case at all. My experience was not so pleasant. My girlfriend called the day prior to the appointment to confirm everything that would be done for our pup including a discount for first time customers. Customer service could be better. Our pup is pretty easy, so we opted for the bath and brush (included was nail trimming, ear cleaning, anal cleaning, cologne, and bandana) for $35. He's a medium sized dog with short hair. Upon picking him up, I asked about the first time discount and she nervously looked at me and said they don't do that anymore, which is fine if they stopped. However, she confirmed with my gf the day prior that they did. So if the first time discount factored into bringing your pup here, please know "oh we stopped that". I got to check out my pup and it was honestly disappointing. He still has loose hair that was falling off of him which makes me question if it wasn't done with full attention. Also, on my way out she informed me she wasn't able to cut his nails because they are already too short. Hmm, wonder why I was charged for that. Did not get a bandana, cologne which were supposed to be included. I don't care for those but if I pay for whatever package, she should include what the service entails. All in all, I wouldn't go back. This was our first time taking our pup somewhere and it wasn't a great experience and not cheap considering all that was done. read more

We just moved to area and thought we would give this place a try. My son took my dog in for grooming about a month ago, I asked for a puppy cut and asked to see what was included in their grooming package. I was told everything over the phone and when I got home from work, my son was charged $50 and my dog came home with barely a trim off her feet, nails trimmed and was told my dog was not cooperating. Not a bath or anything else done! $50 for basically a nail trim. My dog has never had an issue getting groomed, shes a 12 lbs shi tzhu.......Never going back! Horrible. read more

The grooming itself is fine, but my dog, who typically loves grooming, was not happy. We gave it 2 tries and it just got worse. So, 4 stars for the basic grooming (but expensive), 2 stars for fact that something made my dog apprehensive, and 2 stars for cleanliness. I feel overall 3 is generous for our experience. read more

Diggity dog has probably been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a groomer. The basic cut was awful. Uneven hair all over his body. My dog came out with fleas(which he has never had before going to this groomer) and an ear infection after they cleaned his ears. I could not be more unhappy after spending over $100 for my dog. Price is over priced and inside does not look extremely clean to me. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

Very unhappy with service! When I walked in I let the groomer know I also wanted the hair on his ears trimmed a lot and tail hair totally taken off since his hair gets so matted. I had him in his kennel when I picked him up, paid with tip (70+ and he is a 15 pound dog). When I got him home I discovered neither was done but had been charged for the add ons. When I called to let them know, I was asked he got his 7 point cut. Really? That's not why I am calling. I was told to bring him back in , but wasn't doable for me with work schedule (which I did indicate). What brings people back is , "I apologize, if bringing him back is a problem, I see you paid for it, AND tipped on it. We will credit your account and can use the upgrade amount on your next visit." My regular groomer has taken a 4 month break due to another baby arrival. We bathed Alexa our Shih Tzu at home, but she was not having any of the mom and pop do it yourself beauty shop. I popped into this shop as it's located next door to Dr. Tomlinson my vet since 1985. Made an appointment and showed up bright and early with my miniature 'yeti'. She was greeted with hugs and scratches and led off to the bath boudoir (emphasis mine). I waited for her and never once did I hear her cry out or fuss. When she pranced out....yes pranced she had feathers in her top knot. Feathers. Stick a fork in me. I was done. I love this place. My Pug puppy went to the salon yesterday for the first time. She was little nervous but the staff calmed her down. She got a wash de-shed as the pug is always shedding and nails done etc. I brought her home as a new pup and when I hold her normally I get hair like crazy on me after yesterday I didn't have hair. Horrible, and I mean horrible!!!! I've never had an issue with my dog since I got him. I just took him a bath a few days ago. I brought him here for a bath and a haircut and he turned aggressive "so they say" while they were trying to do the requested services???? They did say he was scared to death of them when they tried to do anything and that I can believe that. He's been the sweetest 7lb dog to everyone who's come around him. Now I'm looking at severe cuts in several places and 7 hours later(and I had an appointment) I get him back and he's not even finished. They suggested I get him sedated next time to do the job???? Have taken our dogs here for several years. At first they did get them out with in a few hours. The reason we switched to this groomer was because they set themselves apart and treat it like a hair appointment. They no longer have that quality they use to have. Last visit with 2 dogs they were there at least 6 hours. They blamed it on the fact that we scheduled two dogs. Yesterday I took one dog in after making her an appointment the day before. She was there for 5 and a half hours. When I picked her up I explained to the employee if you couldn't have seen her in a timely manner you shouldn't have scheduled her. They said they were trying to accommodate me(I didn't ask for Saturday, just next available appointment). I said you should have scheduled her next week then they said the reason was that they got 2 big maltipoos in. I said again not my problem. My appointment was at 10. Explained if I treated my patients like that I'd lose patients. THEN they said the reason was they were all sick. I explained then they should have called me and canceled the appointment. They try to justify their bad business practices. If they market their business as 2 hour appointments then my dogs shouldn't be there 5-6 hours almost every time! On a side note.. although clean they don't smell wonderful like other dog grooming places. And rarely do they get a bow or kerchief like other groomers. That wasn't my priority of importance the length of appointment was!! They failed! My friend is leaving them for same reason. Her Maltese took 5 hours. read more

I was really pleased with the way the groomer handled (and loved on) our Goldendoodle - who is very shy. They did a very good job and our pup no longer had any anxiety when we picked her up. The groomer took the time to suggest a special brush and gave us tips on the best way to keep up with her coat which knots very easily. I recommend Diggidy Dog. read more

My dog is not a well behaved grooming client. The lady claimed he was well behaved for her (I kind of doubt that) but he was perfectly groomed with no cuts or scratches so maybe he was. I will highly recommend this establishment to my friends and family. It took a few minutes longer to drop him off and pick him up because there was only one person working there, but honestly that made me more confident in this groomer because I could see she was in the middle of grooming another dog. If it was my dog I would rather her spend her time taking care of the dog before she came to take care of the human at the front desk. He was also ready for pick up 30 minutes early, which again confirms to me that my rowdy dog didn't require multiple baths or multiple breaks to compose himself. read more

My dog did not have a good experience here. It was only her second professional grooming at less than a year old and she had no problem with the first groomer who came to our home in a mobile grooming van. This place took hours longer than promised, so when I showed up to pick up the dog at the time promised, they said it would take another 2 hours. I had to keep rearranging my schedule to come pick her up and even after the 2 hour delay she was still not ready! The woman who groomed her made a negative comment about my dog's behavior. This was interesting to me because my dog is super sweet and loves everyone. She is also only 6 pounds. My dog was very shaken and scared in a way I had never seen her before and now totally freaks out when I try to touch or clip her nails. I also did not like the way the salon is set up. There is a big wall that prevents you from seeing into the grooming and holding area, so you have no way of watching the process or seeing how the dogs are crated or cared for during the grooming process. read more

I have had Ashley (and Nicole) groom my boys since they were pups. I have and will continue to follow them wherever they go as they are part of my pups family. I have found that the colognes and shampoos at Diggidy Dog does not seem to work as well as the previous place shampoos and colognes. My chorkie has come home with flakes and not a very fresh scent. If any changes need to be made, I would definitely like to see a better shampoo and cologne used. Also, there were a few stray hairs left around his mouth and groomed(cut) hair still on his coat but a quick blow dry when I got home got rid of those. read more
