    The diagnostic paperwork

    Do NOT buy a used vehicle from this dealership without getting it inspected somewhere else first. We purchased a 2017 Chevy Silverado from them after being told it had been fully inspected. On the diagnostic paperwork they gave us, the transmission fluid was marked that it was adjusted, and when we asked about it we were told it just needed to be topped off, it was nothing significant otherwise notes would be under that marked field, but that everything else was fine. A little over 90 days later, and 1,127 miles later the truck suffered a complete transmission failure. When we brought it back to the dealership, they first told us it would cost $7,200 to replace the transmission, and later lowered it to $5,600 like it was an amazing offer. Either way, that is an enormous repair for a vehicle we had just purchased and believed was in good condition. If they truly performed a full inspection on the truck before selling it, they should have known the transmission was close to failing. That was never disclosed to us at the time of purchase. Instead, we were told everything was fine, and now we're left dealing with a major repair only a few months later. Buyers beware and make sure to get an independent inspection before purchasing a vehicle here. If you buy a brand new vehicle here I'm sure you'll be fine but if you buy a used vehicle here be cautious because they'll obviously lie about the condition of the truck and not be willing to work with you for a repair. This is bad for business in a small valley.

    Bought my 2nd new car from them and the 1st time was a great experience and absolutely stress free. I j7st bought my 2nd new car from them and as if the 1st time wasn't great enough the 2nd time was somehow even better.     Carlos is an awesome salesman, he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicles. If he didn't know he looked it up. Got me into a better vehicle then what I was there to look at. He was very pleasant and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The entire team was welcoming and it didn't feel forced. Very pleasant experience. Thanks again gents for a great experience.

Shortly after fueling in Medford, I noticed what looked like light smoke in the mirror. Within a few miles we had lost about an eighth of a tank of fuel, and after pulling off it was clear we had a major fuel leak after the pump--nothing I could fix on the side of the road. AAA towed both our truck and trailer to Kelly's. Even with other vehicles ahead of us, they diagnosed the problem quickly. The repair wasn't simple due to how buried the component was, but they handled it efficiently and got us back on the road. Jeremy, the mechanic, took the time to explain things and clearly knows his craft. Justin was also very helpful and communicative throughout the process. Breakdowns are never convenient, but we felt we were in good hands. I would recommend Kelly's Automotive without hesitation.

After the service was done, the car acted strange and I returned to have them check their service and was told "it's old". Within a two days the car was running even worse. I took it to a different automotive shop and they could not believe my 1998 car was even worked on. I returned to Kelly's Automotive of Grants Pass showing them the service report from other auto shop asking for some kind of refund for the Unnecessary work and was DENIED. How unbelievable! I'm still paying for work done on a car that NO Longer works.

I was traveling down I-5 when my instrument cluster went haywire and my check engine light came on. After that my engine was running super rough and I coasted into Star Automotive to see what the heck happened. After some tests they figured out the problem (cylinder specific ignition coil failure on Chevy Silverado) and worked fast to get parts picked up and installed before they closed up shop that night. If it wasn't for them I would have spent Christmas alone in a hotel room in Grants Pass, OR. Thanks to these guys I made it 500 miles to my destination and spent Christmas with my family instead. They were friendly, did their best to get my job done up against the clock, and charged fair labor rates. I can't thank them enough and definitely recommend them to locals and travelers alike.

I had triple A tow my car to Star on 10/27/25. I gave them a call in advance and let them know I would be sending it there and stated what had happened. For full context, I was exiting the free way in central point there was a small box in the middle of the road and I had not choice but to slow down and go over it. My car being an Alfa Romeo Giulia sits low and something was pulled out of the bottom of my car and it immediately lost all power steering. I was able to pull to the side at the very end of the ramp. No body damage at all, car was still drivable but no power steering. The tow truck drivers were able to drive it into the flatbed themselves. Zach from Star automotive s initial quote 10/27/25 totaled $10,054.53. See pic and note Quote 1. (This quote will dramatically change once insurance adjuster is involved) 4 quotes later, 2 subcontracted dealerships, a broken fuel module that made my car completely underivable, and no answers from Zach or Austin about what happened. The insurance claims adjuster, the service manager in Portland and the technicians all agree in writing that my car was not drivable when it was brought in and that someone clearly damaged the fuel module brought the car in with zero fuel, and then tried to cover it up ...the technician stated "it was hanging off when I saw it". Zach blamed this entire incident on a recall. Once again in writing the alfa Romeo dealership states this was not possible. I did not accuse Zach or Star right away when I was presented with all the evidence and facts...I called Zach and sent him the email from the service manager who he spoke with and checked my car in with. I simply wanted an answer, and a solution to this issue. It's Friday 4:47pm 2/27/26 my car is 246 miles away one way. The additional cost is $1113.31. I just wanted my car back. When I went down to Star after my phone call with Zach to simply discuss this in person...they said Paul is on vacation and that there was nothing they could do for me. I said I wanted to believe Zach wouldn't take advantage of me knowing how hard things were already finically ....Austin and Zach made many excuses that were not only unreasonable and impractical explanations for this incident but Austin then proceeded to yell at me and threatened to call the police on me. To the owner Paul...I know you are not aware of any of this, and from one business owner to another I am truly sorry this is what your employees are doing behind your back representing your business. I could have chosen a statefarm preferred shop, but due to my past experiences with Star, Dave specifically when he was there I chose your shop. Paul please contact me regarding this matter. I do have more documents and a video of my encounter with Zach and Austin this evening if you'd like to see to give you a full perspective. I will not upload all the documents, videos I have at the moment I will leave a thorough review in full after this claim has been closed out. I brought my car into this location hoping for the best, and from the moment I arrived, the staff was kind, professional, and reassuring. The front desk representative immediately made me feel welcome and let me know a technician would inspect my vehicle and explain the repair costs before moving forward. I had visited this Les Schwab before for rear tire replacements and already had a great experience, so I felt confident I was in good hands. Within about 15 minutes of arriving, they had my car inspected and quickly identified that my front rotors and tires needed to be replaced. I was nervous about affordability, but the team walked me through my financing options and reassured me that I could use my available credit. That alone was a huge relief. Not only were they able to diagnose and fix the issue quickly, but they also made the entire process feel manageable and stress-free. They had everything completed the very same day within just a couple of hours. This team truly went above and beyond, and I would highly recommend this Les Schwab location to anyone.
