Workers gossiping about customers right in front of us. Do it in the back, not in front of customers. It makes you look unprofessional and rude. We have been here many times before and this experience was by far the worst. Food given was incorrect, server was rude, service was terrible-- was asked for a refill at the very end after our food was gone, not all of our food was brought out, our server came back to us maybe once the entire hour and a half we were there. Stopped in at Granny's during a race weekend at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course and man, what a great way to start the day. The place was very clean, well lit and run by a bunch of pro servers who just get it right. I had the breakfast bowl which was amazing! So much food for a great price that I ended up skipping lunch. I would gladly give a small place like this business over a chain restaurant any day of the week. Highly recommend Granny's Kitchen and it appears the locals do as well since everyone there seemed to know each other (except for us). read more

Great home cooking! We were in town for NASA Championships. Just looked up local places. I ordered the ocean perch for Friday special. It was very clean tasting and the portion was just right for this big boy. Get there early because Granny goes to bed early. Closes at 7pm on Friday. read more

Homemade and very fresh food. We have been here twice in one week. We are new to the area and if you want really good fresh homemade home cooking, this is the place to go to. First time we were here I had meatloaf and mashed potatoes and it tastes just like homemade. My wife had ham and sweet potatoes and a friend of ours was with us and had a burger and fries. Everything was outstanding. The second time we were here, my wife and I each had the country fried chicken with gravy and potato. It was freshly breaded freshly-cooked nothing frozen. And don't forget to try their pies for dessert. All are homemade excellent price and again fresh. Great little hole-in-the-wall authentic restaurant. read more

Granny's is incredibly popular in Galion. This place is busy ALL THE TIME. I have been here maybe five times since moving to Galion twenty years ago and have never been blown away. Some of the specials are pretty good, but the standard menu is just average. Place is pretty clean and comes with a waitress that gives everyone hell which is always entertaining. Galion just doesn't have much when it comes to restaurants so most people end up here, at Whistle Stop (yuck), or Big Plate. I would recommend sticking with the specials as they have about five different ones each day. read more

Favorite place for breakfast in Galion. Nothing fancy, just tasty and very reasonably priced food. Hits include huge biscuits (and gravy), western omlettes and large buttermilk pancakes. Service is usually quick and the servers are friendly, but they are packed Sunday AM when people come in after church. Oh, and try the tenderloin sandwich for lunch! read more

Just for breakfast alone, boom 5 stars!!! They know how to cook. Period. Everything comes out of the kitchen perfectly. GOLDEN BROWN AND DELICIOUS. No runny eggs, no underdone pancakes, no pale, lifeless home fries! This funky little place has it going on, a little small in size and everything pleasantly just on this side of tacky add up to awesome. In complimenting the staff how good things were, again - seems like i have to do that every time i go here, they mentioned how many good things are said about the place. Galion is sadly lacking in good restaurants that have consistently good food and service. This is another one where you never know how you will be treated or how your meal will turn out. It's also quite an uncomfortable place to go to as it seems like every single person in the place stops eating and stares at you as you walk in. This is obviously a place that gets by on their regulars. Maybe the waitresses only take good care of those because they sure don't otherwise. You can tell that they've been there a long time, they spent an awful lot of time gossiping with each other and forgetting to bring you what you ordered. Food is erratic. The meatloaf I ordered was badly undercooked and pink. The other two meals were unmemorable and without flavor for being "home cooking". They were out of items on the white board but didn't bother to take them off. The place feels dirty and worn out and is very, very tiny. I really wanted to like them but after 3 tries, I give up. read more

Worst service ever. Bring us our drinks and let us sit with menus for 20 minutes. I understand if ur busy, but waitresses kept walking by. Clearly u can see we still had menus. But get every bodies order around us. Finally a differ waitress shows up with her little attitude and no apologies or concerns, just the blame game. I told her I am not eating here. We were waiting to pay for our drinks, because it's only right. I heard the bitches in the kitchen talking about us. Oh I let them know we heard them. read more
