I had the home fries covered in shaved ribeye, hot peppers, onions, swiss and topped with a sunnyside egg. It was huge and the leftovers (plus a couple more eggs) ended up feeding us both the next night. Both mains were fairly priced. My only complaint would be the 6-8 onion rings cost $10.95. I get that it was a starter as they didn't offer a side, but there should've been more on the plate at that price. All of their sides seem expensive compared to their burgers, but I'd go again.

Service was fantastic. They were very accommodating and were able to provide my nephew with a high chair. Ambiance was very neat. Eating and having a nice view of the golf course feels very swanky for little ol' Mansfield, OH. I would happily come back as everything on their normal menu looks great!

I got the smokehouse chicken salad which was also very good especially if you get a side of their Carolina mustard bbq sauce. We also worded a side of Brussel sprouts, yummy. Despite that, the atmosphere was welcoming, the service was outstanding, and we never felt rushed. The walls were adorned with hand-drawn battlefield crosses and messages honoring the fallen and supporting our service members. As someone who deeply appreciates that commitment, it resonated with me. I struck up a conversation with the bartender and learned that his son is a Marine. His pride in supporting veterans and active-duty service members was evident and appreciated. Sarah, our waitress, was friendly, kind, and attentive despite the late hour. She smiled, laughed with us, and made us feel right at home. Now, the food! The lobster dish was fantastic--perfectly seasoned and served with a delicious sauce. The seafood entrée I ordered was outstanding, and the wedge salad was absolutely top-tier. I love a good wedge salad, and this one exceeded expectations. We were eventually seated on the newer outdoor deck, which was pleasant enough, but it felt very plain with almost no décor or atmosphere. The overall vibe of the restaurant was more functional than welcoming. Our server was in training and accompanied by another server throughout the meal. She did her best, but the service overall lacked warmth, and there was a long wait for our food despite many empty tables. The biggest disappointment was my steak. While the portion size was fine, it was so full of gristle that I left nearly a third of it untouched because it simply wasn't edible. My husband's fish tasted good, but many of the thinner pieces were overcooked and dry. When I mentioned the problem with my steak, the response was simply, "Is there anything we can do for you?" followed by an awkward silence. No apology, no offer to replace it, and no acknowledgment that such a poor cut of meat shouldn't have been served. Because this restaurant is in a fairly remote area with few nearby dining options, we had really hoped for a better experience. Sadly, between the lack of ambiance, the mediocre service, and the disappointing food, we don't plan to return. One more thing, they scrub bad reviews from their home website.

I wanted something light so I opted for the cesar salad in spite of my reservations when it said tomatoes and olives were on it. Weird but whatever chicken, lettuce, croutons and cesar dressing still felt on brand so I went for it. This is not a cesar salad. It was a salad with balsamic dressing of some kind, toasted bread with the crust cut off and a cold chicken breast. And, it comes with bread but I was told they didn't have rye so I ended up with sourdough that was also not sourdough and the waitperson didn't bring it until I was mostly through eating my refrigerator cold chicken. Just, yikes. Additionally, I still don't know how there was rye for my sister's sandwich but I wasn't allowed to order it with my food. As for her lunch, the pastrami was fine but with a lackluster amount of meat. The French onion soup was the only thing that felt reasonable with quality and price. All in all, I think the snack bars or even grocery stores in the area/ Amish country appeared to have better offerings. I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch. The gift shop was cute and reasonably priced so maybe check it out for that but that's it.
