Stopped in 6 o'clock on a Thursday night. (They do not take reservations for parties of less than…read moreeight) and we had a 45 minute wait. French fries are frozen with a little bit of coating on them. (I prefer hand cut fries) The menu is varied so you should be able to find something. There seems to be an awful lot of spicy dishes on the menu. So, my friend ordered the Caesar salad and it comes with cavatappi pasta, which we found interesting on a Caesar salad, but she said it was good. Her husband ordered the glazed salmon, a baked potato with cheese and bacon, a bowl of chili with cheese and bacon as his appetizer, and he was surprised that the spice was as high on the glaze rather than sweet, but he still enjoyed it. My husband had the fish and chips and he said they were good. I had the crispy spicy chicken salad, and I took the ginger dressing on the waitresses' advice. It was good, but the chicken wasn't hot. It was room temperature!! I would try something else if I return. Reason for 4 stars-there seem to be a lot of empty tables and a very long wait time as there were lots of waiters and waitresses. Three of us drank ice water one had a sweet tea. With tip and the mandatory convenience fee for use of a credit card .... dinner was slightly over $100 for four of us.

I enjoyed chorizo scrambled eggs, refried beans and home fries - see pic. It reminded me of my dear friend from work, Irma's family breakfast she'd share with us. Hubs had made his own feature, 2 huge pancakes, sausage & eggs, typical Oak Harbor diner fare executed very well; no pic because it's normal for Kozy's. We felt both of our breakfasts for fairly priced as they were plentiful. Kozy's still opens early for their regular breakfast features and has plenty of small town offering on their menu. They are now open later for Mexican dinner features as of 1/5/26, I'm looking forward for full on Mexican dinners to try! Jill, our server was as wonderful as ever--so pleasant, prompt service and kind, on our visit 1/9/2026. It was great to see so many long-time staff & friends still working there, under the new management. They always greet you when you come in and make you feel welcome. I especially enjoyed how enthusiastic the staff were about the new project and how the owner chatted about their new menu, when we paid for breakfast. The interior has been refreshed with a calm light blue gray paint, cream curtains, farmhouse wallpaper and tasteful Mexican pictures. The 50's mural has retired and extremely white ceiling lights have been toned down a bit. They still offer plenty of counter seats to dine at as well, nice for when you just want to quietly relax enjoy solid cup of coffee, good Mexican & check what's on Facebook/Pinterest a bit. Also, I enjoyed the beautiful Mourning Dove in her nest, in a small bush by the north-facing window, looking in at the diners activities. There's easy parking onsite and allowing quick access to the restaurant. They said they are in line for a liquor license but we all know that takes forever. I hope they ask town council for an amendment to get a boundary change for the DORA right away. Hopefully being in DORA would help move their license app to be approved. IMO there's nothing better than a good Margarita with my Mex or with today's to go changes, to have a treat at home. I wish there would be room for a nice patio there too lol! I'm so glad someone took a chance and opened Mexican food in town! I'm finding it hard to get excited about the new places popping up around here--it feels like they're all just trying to be the next burger joint, wing spot, or deep-fryer obsessed. I'm hoping we, as residents, can all lend a hand in supporting this family owned restaurant option.

We saw the…read morereviews for this restaurant on Yelp and we thought ...Wow this place better live up to the hype! I'm happy to report that it did! As others have stated it is really beautiful. And the owner has tried to keep the updates true to the history of this building. And it has just about everything! When we first walked in, it was a very cute, cozy, Coffee Shop! Then of course you have the Main Dining room. Keep going and you'll see Dinky's their Bar which features a boat that serves as the liquor cabinet! And yet one more room for Events - holds about 50 people. Each and every room is set up perfectly for the venue it is intended for. My husband read a review about the Burger with bacon jam - so he ordered that and Loved it! I got fish and chips and they were also very good. We also got an onion rings.... they were OK - nothing to write home about. I actually really wanted a burger, but the burgers there are huge! I guess my request would be that they put a smaller burger on the menu for those of us with smaller appetites Pleeeze Our waitress was named Crystal and she was very knowledgeable about the establishment and had a very cool laid-back manner. Her friendly attitude is a real asset to Berrys. She did a great job today! I met the Owner while she was setting up the Event space for a party, and she was very nice. You can tell that she works hard there and really cares about the customer's experience. So believe the hype people and do yourself a favor and whether you want coffee or a beer or need a place for your event or just a good meal, go to Berrys on Main!
