DELICIOUS TIFFIN CHOW!…read more For being in the small town of Tiffin, Ohio, a REALLY FAR rock throw away from Ohio's big city hustle & bustle of Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati or Toledo, Paulette's brings the country charm with tasty home cookin'! Not many mom & pop eats for brekkie in this college town, so let's sample the goods here! Yelp Directions are on point, with a small parking lot to rest the transport. Place was hopping this Saturday morning, with lots of locals filling the tables up! MUST be better than the 3* yelp rating with all this action going on!!! We even had to wait 15-20 min to get a table to empty before we could sit down. Super friendly staff, very clean inside. Lots of options for eats during breakfast... Let's get our chow on! #7 CORNED BEEF, EGGS, TOAST: It's actually Corned Beef HASH so even better! Cook adeptly honored our request to brown it up a bit to have a nice crunch to it, which it was, perfectly! Compliments to the Chef! Ample serving too! Yay! Eggs were asked to be over medium and they arrived just as ordered, with Just enough "runny-ness." Add some golden toasted bread and this makes a really comforting start to our morning! CRUNCHY FRENCH TOAST with MEAT CHOICE: Whatever makes this creation crunchy, IT IS PERFECT! This texture is ABSOLUTELY what French Toast needs to make me enjoy it. And I found it in TIFFIN, OH of all places! 4 Triangles only needed a touch of syrup to sweeten the deal. DEEE-LICIOUS! Added some sausage links and golden crispy home style potatoes. Great Breakfast meal! GRILLED CHEESE BACON BURGER on TEXAS TOAST: College Kid was eyeing this baby from the get go! And it did not disappoint!!! Cheese component was ooey gooey, bacon was not too crispy ( which he prefers), and the thick burger patty came out over medium, as requested! Ample serving of crinkle fries to enjoy and share. The Kid was pleasantly satisfied! VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! Nom Nom Level is HIGH! That 3* yelp rating is REALLY deceiving!! We came in not expecting much, yet departed happily fulfilled to start the day! ALL the menu items we sampled were a delight to the taste buds and the staff were attentive and friendly. Don't let yelp rating scare you, Paulette's is absolutely worth visiting! Enjoy :)

But there were families with young kids there, so it was more atmospheric than anything else. We got wings for the appetizer and they were good. Sauce on the side as we asked for 2 different kinds. Garlic Parm and I think the other was a honey bourbon. Tasty! My wife got a ham steak with a side of a baked sweet potato. She was impressed with it. I got the Fathead burger (bacon on the side) with fries. It was 1/2 pound of goodness. Our server said it was made from fresh (not frozen) beef. Service was good and we will definitely go back!

Will we be back to Fatheads....certainly we will, we are writing today off as everyone can have a bad day now and again. One truly negative thing that both the wife and I noticed today. Returning home from a personal trip, we decided to stop at Buddies in Barbecue for a quick meal…read more What a pleasant surprise! I never expected to find barbecue this flavorful in such a small town. According to our hostess, Buddy's Barbecue is actually owned by two buddies--and after our meal, it's easy to see they've got the recipes, the passion, and the service to back up the name. I ordered the half rack of ribs with the baked beans, which the hostess highly recommended, and I'm glad I listened. The ribs were tender, smoky, and packed with flavor, while the baked beans were some of the best I've had. My friend ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a baked potato, and it looked so good that we ended up sharing our meals so we could each try everything. Every bite was outstanding. The restaurant was spotless, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the service was fast from start to finish. If you're anywhere near the area and craving authentic barbecue, Buddies in Barbecue is absolutely worth the stop. We'll definitely be back!

Last girl had bbq ribs. Her ribs were nothing short of jerky. Black, tough, and stuck to the bone. You could not get the meat off the bone. Complained to the waitress. She said she couldn't do anything about it because her boss wasn't there. She tried to call them but stated the phone didn't work and was having problems with spectrum. First of all, as the only waitress in the restaurant she should be able to make a decision on her own. She said she could not give the girl her money back without talking to her boss. She did not even ask if she could replace the meal. In my opinion, along with others at the table, she could have brought out another meal or even taken some steps to make it right. Take note, if you visit this establishment and your dinner is over cooked you will not get your money back nor will you be offered a different meal. To the waitress, you must have been new to the job itself. Most waitresses would have gone above and beyond to make this situation better if that meant paying for that dinner with her tips and getting her customer her money back! Won't be back
