GRANNY GRANNY GRANNY! My food was amazing. Everything was cooked fresh when I ordered it. After I placed order it took about 15 min and I was on my way. I ordered 1pc catfish plate which comes with 2 sides. Trust me I will be back to this food truck really soon. 10/10 *ignore the okra in grits I flipped my plate over

Granny's is so good. Customer service was great. Took about 15 minutes to get my food and everything was fresh and good. I wish I could've went straight home to enjoy but you know food is good when you can enjoy it cold/warm. I got the one piece catfish with grits and Cajun ranch okra for $12. The okra? Best okra besides Munchie's that I've had here so far. I wish they gave more. I might get double next time. The grits were pretty good. The Parmesan I asked for always adds a nice touch. The catfish could've been fried harder to my liking but it was seasoned well. I'll definitely be back sooner than later!

I have been wanting to try this Food Truck ever since Dad saw it on Food Network but timing had just never worked out until recently. I arrived a little early and was pleasantly surprised they were ready to start serving. Staff was very courteous and made recommendations about popular items when I said I had never tried it before. I chose the Catfish with a double order of grits loaded with sausage for my sides. My only regret was not getting a 2nd piece of fish. It was so good! As is the serving size was plenty filling. Absolutely will be making an effort to get again soon! Hopefully they will send one of the trucks to the east side of Birmingham to make it easier to stop by on the regular.

Granny's is ALWAYS good! I have never had anything bad from here. My favorite is usually a shrimp bowl or a sausage bowl, but the fried fish is good too.

I had heard really great reviews about this food stand, and since I was on that side of town, I decided to try it. The employees were really friendly and had great customer service skills. I ordered the large shrimp and grits bowl, which was ok, not the best but ok. If I decide to go back, I will definitely try other items on the menu

I've waited years to try them. They did not disappoint. The fish was seasoned to perfection and the grits were creamy and delicious.

This place has been on my list for a while. I'd forgotten about it and then it came up on my Newsfeed as a 'Food Network presents...' That definitely inspired me. The venue: Just like the advertisements says, they're near Birmingham Daiquiri; you can't miss them. Parking is a little questionable. I really only notice street parking available but it's a food truck so... there's that. The food: I ordered the combination bowl with grits, shrimp and sausage. Y'all these folks hands are so blessed! The meats and seasonings were prefect. But, THE GRITS were the star of the bowl. I'm not even a cheese grits girl (I'm sugar and butter - judge me later) but this bowl was something special! I'll definitely go back to try more from the menu. The chicken and fish looked good. The line: When I went (around 7 on a Friday evening) the line was not crazy at all. There were about 5-6 ppl ahead of me. But the line moved really fast and orders are ready quickly. I'm naturally impatient. This was a breeze. The people: I wanted to meet the matriarch of this business. She was there! I was star struck... She and the staff were very kind. It was a great experience!

Wing Plate. Barely any lemon pepper on the wings. Fries below average. Okra Average.

Good but not great like I expected it to be. I can get better grits at Shug's in Bessemer. I can get better fish at Shrimp Co. in Hueytown. I will not return. Like a college basketball player, 1 and DONE!

I've visited this food truck multiple times. Normally, I get the shrimp and grits or the fried chicken. I've had the fried fish below as well. I've always liked any of the food I've gotten from here. Sometimes, the grits are a tad bit greasy, but it doesn't affect the flavor of the food! This food truck is normally parked right outside of Birmingham Daiquiri and they are usually opened really late. I wish they would pop up around the city more like some of the other food trucks, but at least I know where to find them since they generally park at the same place. I'd definitely recommend their food!

I was craving catfish and Granny's satisfied that craving. I was soooooo glad we decided on this location for dinner.

Here's a menu!! The fried lobster is bomb!!!! Consistency is ALWAYS key!

This may be a little bias because I have been eating off this truck for the VERY BEGINNING! They can do NO wrong!! I got the Combo bowl which featured Shrimp, Bacon, & those FAMOUS cheese grits!!! Fiancé got the chicken plate that had 4 whole wings seasoned to perfection, 2 slices of bread, & those FAMOUS cheese grits!! We are never disappointed! The fiancé only has to add hot sauce & he loves that Texas Pete she has! I am also partial to the Fried Lobster which I didn't get this time, but your taste buds will love you for it!!!

The menu looked interesting but we weren't hungry at the time. He asked me to pull over and he would give me and my son some samples. We chatted for a few mins then he gave us both a homemade tortilla chip topped with smoked salmon a crawfish tail some roasted corn salsa and cheese sauce. My son doesn't eat seafood. Like at all. He ate tail first then devoured the rest. I did as well. I asked him if he wanted some nachos and he replied Yayyah (Lil Jon voice). So we got some kid nachos. He loved them and I snacked on his left overs which were delicious. When we got home later that evening I started looking for Leo on IG, yelp, etc. I saw he was grilling some patty pan squash topped with fresh Maine lobster. I told my wife he mentioned he made some fire vegetarian nachos so I headed back down to see if could catch him. There were several folks there when I arrived. Picking up slabs and fixins, plus some sandwiches. I saw the prime rib on his IG an it looked so good I had to try a wrap. He grilled up some fresh asparagus to top my wife's nachos as well. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The pepper sauce on my wrap was spicy and the roasted corn and prime rib were tender and smoky. It was an epic portion of food. No I mean seriously the vegetarian nachos could easily be an appetizer for 6-8 ppl. I am really excited to have met Leo and I can't wait to go back. He also mentioned that if I have clothing or shoes to donate his foundation needs them and he would take them there at the truck. I told him I would put a review up on yelp and be back soon. Please check out his social and support and donate to the foundation. 24kchef.leo. Additionally, the service was great, and everyone was super friendly. Even though it is a food truck and can get fairly busy, everything was super fresh and prepared very quickly. It is a food truck, so the atmosphere is super casual, and there is normally a small crowd, but you likely won't be waiting long. They are located in a super convenient spot, so it is never too much of a task to stop by. Overall, Dos Hermanos is a great choice if you want a quick, affordable, and delicious meal. I will definitely be back! One thing to keep in mind is that they close pretty early, but works perfectly for a nice lunch.

Birmingham Restaurant Week has ended and I am happy I got the chance to try some new places so I can tell you all about them. So let's get right into it. First up is The Lil Bougie Foodie INC. What brought me to them is what I saw written all over their food truck. It said Home of the Bougie burger, so I was very intrigued. So I ordered it after asking what all came on it. I don't fully remember what was all on it and unfortunately I tried to find it only but there is no description of it I could find so I'll do my best here. Like I said I ordered The Bougie Burger (A LA Cart). It had cheese, bacon, tomato, pickles, onions, lettuce, and bougie sauce. Oh and two smashed patties. This burger was good. In my own opinion it was lacking just a touch of season and I wish they had given me more of the sauce on the burger it was like I know it's there but wish I had more of it. Also I was disappointed I received bacon bits on my burger instead of actual slices of bacon (not sure what was going on there). Also on the picture it looks like there burgers were served with White American cheese but I received Yellow American (yes they taste different to me), don't get me wrong I love yellow American so it didn't bother me at all. Anyways this burger was very good would 100% get this again and can't wait to try what else they have on the menu. I give the burger a 8.9/10. If you see this food truck parked and serving gone head and hope in the line with me and everyone else because you are about to eat good! Be sure to follow them on social media too!
