Chicken and greens piled on top of cheese grits smothered in BBQ sauce.

Some of the best street food available! The key here is consistency. Every time time I order lunch the food is flavorful, hot, and finger-licking good. The best part you can order online and pickup which is great because the food truck can generate long lunch lines. As of right now Saws Street Kitchen is only open for short windows of time so please check their Facebook page before racing off to their mobile destination. However, soon Saws Street Kitchen will be opening a brick and mortar off 11th Ave South in front of Glen Iris Elementary School. Must tries include: smoked wings and pork/chicken & greens. But everything is delicious and goes well with either their tangy-spicy red sauce or tangy white sauce.

Long Line! Kinda long wait! No problem! I mean we're talking about BBQ perfection. I have to be honest the second I spotted the Saws Street Kitchen food truck my stomach would settle for nothing else. Walking past all the other good smells radiating the air at Ross Bridge Farmers Market, not an issue, because I'm now on a mission. BBQ supremacy awaits! Saws just does things right! No surprise to find an exceptionally long line waiting to get food. It's really no different then lunch or dinner time at the restaurants. They have some of the best BBQ I have ever had (don't fault me for that, remember I'm originally from the west coast). The Street Kitchen is no different! Smaller menu than the brick and mortar locations, but what they have is done to perfection. Sandwiches and a couple plates are the main menu items available. Note, they don't have the full compliment of sandwiches, but there is plenty of choices to make anyone in your group happy. Went with the BBQ Pork Sandwich with a side of fries and a coke. Good price $10 (before tax/tip). Generous portions were more then plenty and left me more than satisfied. Smokey BBQ pork piled high on the bun with their signature BBQ. Fries seasoned perfectly, just a little hint of salt and spice. Friendly staff taking orders and more than willing to customize orders to your needs. I love that every order that came up was double checked against the ticket to ensure order accuracy. Really nice touch, especially after waiting to get your order. Nothing worse then to have the wrong food. Really well operated food truck that I would highly recommend to anyone.

No matter which location, Saws is always on point. I had The Colonel - Sweet Tea chicken with pimento cheese and white sauce. Oh my. I'll be back again and again.

Parks outside the regions building on Tuesday's usually. Great burger and lots of fries for my first time there (can you tell I like burgers?) took little time to cook and the staff was friendly. Will be going back for sure to try their pork and maybe wings

Leo is just plain good people. We met on a warm Sunday afternoon while I was driving by Protective…read morestadium to see how construction was coming along. his food truck sits on the western side of the construction site just north of ASHOF. The menu looked interesting but we weren't hungry at the time. He asked me to pull over and he would give me and my son some samples. We chatted for a few mins then he gave us both a homemade tortilla chip topped with smoked salmon a crawfish tail some roasted corn salsa and cheese sauce. My son doesn't eat seafood. Like at all. He ate tail first then devoured the rest. I did as well. I asked him if he wanted some nachos and he replied Yayyah (Lil Jon voice). So we got some kid nachos. He loved them and I snacked on his left overs which were delicious. When we got home later that evening I started looking for Leo on IG, yelp, etc. I saw he was grilling some patty pan squash topped with fresh Maine lobster. I told my wife he mentioned he made some fire vegetarian nachos so I headed back down to see if could catch him. There were several folks there when I arrived. Picking up slabs and fixins, plus some sandwiches. I saw the prime rib on his IG an it looked so good I had to try a wrap. He grilled up some fresh asparagus to top my wife's nachos as well. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The pepper sauce on my wrap was spicy and the roasted corn and prime rib were tender and smoky. It was an epic portion of food. No I mean seriously the vegetarian nachos could easily be an appetizer for 6-8 ppl. I am really excited to have met Leo and I can't wait to go back. He also mentioned that if I have clothing or shoes to donate his foundation needs them and he would take them there at the truck. I told him I would put a review up on yelp and be back soon. Please check out his social and support and donate to the foundation. 24kchef.leo. The truck itself is really nice, with bright colors, a large sun visor, and many pictures of menu items decorating it. I really like the variety of drinks and chips they offer, and I appreciate that they are visible to customers. I didn't have to wait very long in line even though it was pretty busy when I arrived, and my food also came out pretty quick! The staff were very friendly and were happy to answer my questions regarding their menu. I got the chicken tacos, and they were delicious! I could tell right off the bat that they put a lot of effort into serving high-quality food full of flavor. I really enjoyed the sauces as well. I wish that their hours weren't so limited, but I can live with it. This is a great place to grab lunch at for a good price!

Additionally, the service was great, and everyone was super friendly. Even though it is a food truck and can get fairly busy, everything was super fresh and prepared very quickly. They offer things like onions and jalapeños to go along with whatever you order, as well as a variety of drinks and chip options. It is a food truck, so the atmosphere is super casual, and there is normally a small crowd, but you likely won't be waiting long. They are located in a super convenient spot, so it is never too much of a task to stop by. Overall, Dos Hermanos is a great choice if you want a quick, affordable, and delicious meal. I will definitely be back! One thing to keep in mind is that they close pretty early, but works perfectly for a nice lunch.

This is the first of 4 food reviews I'll be posting this week. So get your lunch and dinner plans…read moreready. Birmingham Restaurant Week has ended and I am happy I got the chance to try some new places so I can tell you all about them. So let's get right into it. First up is The Lil Bougie Foodie INC. What brought me to them is what I saw written all over their food truck. It said Home of the Bougie burger, so I was very intrigued. So I ordered it after asking what all came on it. I don't fully remember what was all on it and unfortunately I tried to find it only but there is no description of it I could find so I'll do my best here. Like I said I ordered The Bougie Burger (A LA Cart). It had cheese, bacon, tomato, pickles, onions, lettuce, and bougie sauce. Oh and two smashed patties. This burger was good. In my own opinion it was lacking just a touch of season and I wish they had given me more of the sauce on the burger it was like I know it's there but wish I had more of it. Also I was disappointed I received bacon bits on my burger instead of actual slices of bacon (not sure what was going on there). Also on the picture it looks like there burgers were served with White American cheese but I received Yellow American (yes they taste different to me), don't get me wrong I love yellow American so it didn't bother me at all. Anyways this burger was very good would 100% get this again and can't wait to try what else they have on the menu. I give the burger a 8.9/10. If you see this food truck parked and serving gone head and hope in the line with me and everyone else because you are about to eat good! Be sure to follow them on social media too!

For the COVID-19 restrictions, since they are in the public they don't really have a preference, which is like a lot of places that I have been before.
