The service is overall good and ambiance is fine as it's in a quiet and safe suburban neighborhood. There is plenty of seating and the prices overall aren't bad at all. When it comes to complaints though they're really only minor complaints. The mashed potatoes and gravy could be a bit better as they're mixed together automatically rather than being separated. The main issue isn't them being together but more just the flavor as they're kind of bland and so is the gravy. The coleslaw is average but needs more flavor too. Finally, the rolls are below average as they aren't freshly baked. They're more like a discount version of Hawaiian sweet rolls. Even warmed up or toasted, they have a slightly weird after taste and aren't as good as freshly baked biscuits. In the end, I would still go to Chicken Holiday for a quick bite or a decent catering meal. They give good portions and have a good selection of food to choose from. I ordered the burger, which was pretty big and juicy. The fries were nice and crispy as well. For dessert, we got the banana dulce de leche gelato and ice cream cookie sandwiches. The gelato was so unique and rich. The ice cream cookie sandwiches were perfect for me and I loved the side of Nutella with nuts on top which added a nice crunch. Their commitment to hospitality beats most restaurants I've ever visited. In our reservation, I noted that we were celebrating a birthday. When we were sat at the table, a birthday card was waiting for my mom. Our waitress Bailey was so nice and accommodated my mom's request to not draw too much attention to the celebration. I also adore the atmosphere in 618. The lighting is so elegant with the many chandeliers and the flowers on the walls. 618 has easily become a top restaurant for me.

Very cool that Venue 618 was the only NJ restaurant to make the recent Yelp Top 100 restaurants in the US. Sitting at the bar, we were served by Zoey, Steve, and Mike. They've re-done their cocktail menu to include beautiful color illustrations. I enjoyed "One in a Melon," a well-balanced whiskey cocktail with Frank August small batch bourbon, melon, poblano pepper, Aperol, and lime. This was followed by a tasty whiskey sour. My wife ordered a Lemon Drop martini, followed by a decadent chocolate-pistachio dessert martini. All of the cocktails were well-balanced and delicious. On the food side, I munched on a baked macaroni & cheese with chorizo. It was perfect! The Death of Hospitality brand thrives on personalization and unexpected surprises. Mixologist Steve, realizing that I'm a whiskey afficionado, surprised me with a small pour of Rock Hill Farms Single Barrel bourbon. This is a difficult bottle to find in New Jersey. Rock Hill Farms was incredible, with a super long finish. Thanks for the memories 618!

You gotta stop at Cracker Barrel on a road trip!…read more My fiancé and I stopped here for some grub on our journey. At around 1230pm on a Friday there was no wait at all! We started with cheesey curds that were very delicious and crisp. For my entree I had the classic chicken sandwich and it was very good. I asked for crispy fries and they were perfect! My fiancé ordered steak and eggs. He said his steak was a little tough but not terrible. He said he wished it was a little more tender. He really enjoyed the hashbrown casserole saying it was the best he's had out of all the Cracker Barrel's we've been to. The biscuits were also really good! Very soft and not dry. Our waitress was Jessica, and she checked in often. The bathrooms were very clean as well!

This review is long overdue, but I still felt it was important to share our experience…read more About 2-3 months ago, a group of approximately 12 coworkers met for a leadership meeting and decided to have breakfast at this Cracker Barrel location. We called ahead to request seating and were told they had plenty of room for our group. When we arrived, however, we were informed that we could not be seated until everyone in our party had arrived. Despite there being many open tables, we waited nearly 40 minutes while two people from our group were still on their way. We politely asked if we could be seated since there was ample space available, but the staff made a big issue of it and had to ask the manager for permission. Eventually, they allowed us to sit. Ironically, the last two people never showed up. Unfortunately, the service only got worse from there. Our waitress, who appeared to be around 55-60 years old, was incredibly rude throughout the entire meal. She treated us as though we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. When serving coffee, she practically dropped the cups on the table and pushed them across to those seated on the opposite side. She seemed annoyed by simple requests such as hot sauce, ketchup, or minor modifications to our orders. Several meals were delivered incorrectly, and instead of apologizing, she insisted that we had given her the wrong orders. We are a church leadership group, and we did everything we could to remain patient and respectful. Perhaps she was having a difficult day, but no customer should be treated the way we were. This experience was especially disappointing because we have always enjoyed and respected Cracker Barrel. Sadly, this particular location completely changed our opinion. When our group met again, we chose Americana instead, where both the food and the service were outstanding. Cracker Barrel leadership, I sincerely hope you take the time to visit this location and evaluate the customer service being provided. This restaurant has the potential to be great, but our experience fell far short of the hospitality your brand is known for.

Nice cocktail, wine, and beer selection. Calamari appetizer (sadly forgot to take a photo) was perfect for sharing amongst 2-4 people. Tender bites (rings and tentacles - I prefer) with a perfectly light, crispy coating. Tasty. Both the scallops & risotto were honestly some of the best I've ever had (and I order this often at seafood joints). Sweet meat, large size, crisped atop. The risotto was creamy and very flavorful (subtle white wine) with mushrooms and spinach throughout. The salmon piece that I tasted was very soft and fresh. My party seemed satisfied. Although I've had better crème brûlée, no real complaints. Nice crispy torched top. Texture was a little thicker than I like and the chill needed to come down to room temp more. It was pretty vacant prime time on a Saturday night, so I really hope things turn around. This area of NJ is severely lacking fine dining, so this spot is much needed. There are dining specials and DJs set up on select nights. Place does bring in an older crowd (makes sense for the area). Ample parking available. Come have a time or two!
