Those need to be re placed with smaller rails. Never came back to finish unpainted door in master bathroom, and fuse box. Needs to come finish caucking around the tile and base trim. Left paint stains on my carpet and patio. Does not return my calls/text.

Professional service from TJ right down through his workers. TJ made sure he had a thorough understanding of what we wanted, was very knowledgeable and was easy to work with on anything unexpected that came up. The work area was kept clean, and the guys were in and out as expected. The price was entirely reasonable, and the quote was adhered to. When the project was finished, TJ came and did a walk-through and asked me if there was anything I felt needed to be addressed before they were done. I had a few little things, and they were taken care of right away. In other words, they weren't done until we were fully satisfied, and they stood behind that. I have a lot of respect for companies that do this. Cons: only one and not that bad - communication around the beginning and the end of the project was a little difficult. The end of the project fell around the holidays, so I'll take that into consideration. Throughout the project all was fine. I would highly recommend using Tundra Construction.

The address listed is not only my personal residence but also one that the owner of this "business", Greg Hall, is not allowed within 200 yards of due to domestic violence. A judge ordered him to vacate the premises over a year ago. So it would be a little difficult to handle business from that distance and with those restrictions.  With that being said and also to keep things honest. Greg Hall used to reside at the address above and did do some "work", if you can call it that, allow me to share the highlights: leaky second hand skylight taken from a previous job, added archways to kitchen that also leak, ill fitted reused kitchen sink from a previous remodel for another client, unfinished framing around oven, a "gazebo" made from old rotted doors torn from previous demolition jobs, and his prized possession, a home made urinal crafted from double stacking two regular bathroom sinks. This is just a short list of some of the dozens of well documented "upgrades" he did to our home. Keep in mind that these "upgrades"  were done while he lived at this address. If this is the care and lack of respect he took in "renovating" his own home then what kind of quality can you really expect for a home that he does NOT live in. When it comes to remodeling your home or business I would do yourself a favor and save yourself the headache and take your job to a more reliable, responsible, honest contractor.

We even know the owners personally and they still screwed us over, so imagine what they would do to you if you don't know them.... This was our first experience with a home insurance claim for water damage and John, whom we attend church with, coached us not to contact our insurance until their job was done, pay them as soon as they removed the last piece of equipment, and submit the receipt to insurance and insurance would pay us back. He said we would maybe have to push a little and send a few emails, but 100% of their customers have had insurance pay in full. He lulled us into a false sense of security, and add on top of this our trust in him because of knowing him personally, we believed him. BIG MISTAKE. We paid him upfront over $12,000 cash and insurance said the job was only valued at a little over $8000 so that's all they reimbursed us for, putting us out $4500! My insurance tried contacting them multiple times to have them explain the excessive charges, they ignored their calls. After speaking to John myself, Jeff finally answered my adjusters call who explained some charges, and John contacted me after saying my insurance agreed to pay the rest of the bill. ANOTHER LIE! I later found out from my insurance that my adjuster never said that and he would still not be paying on the full amount because it was outrageous compared to what it should be. John admitted to me on the phone how they hide extra charges into the cost of a fan or else insurance wouldn't pay them, which is what makes it look expensive to insurance, yet they won't be honest with the insurance companies about what costs they are hiding hoping insurance will just pay it. But then when insurance doesn't pay it because to them it looks like they are charging 4x industry standards for the cost of a fan it just bites the homeowner instead! In the end, I requested a refund from Rainy Day the difference and John brushed me off telling me to hire a public adjuster to continue to fight my insurance. He offered to pay up to $500 for their fee, but we would still likely pay much more than that because of the size of our claim as a whole and we don't want to risk losing even more money when insurance will most likely still say no. This whole thing could have been avoided if we chose a company that went through insurance, learn from our mistake! I have many many more grievances with the way this company took advantage of us and hurt us not just financially, but emotionally and mentally as well, but my point is DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Also, these good reviews are padded with people they know or who have worked for them. The review with the dishwasher leak and pictures is the owners own kitchen, and he didn't even pay a dime for it because he told me his business ate the cost of his repairs. Guess my $4500 will go to his company funds for his next remodel......

He will talk you an earful reassuring your project will be a success. He sounds very encouraging. Most days he will be sick, so you'll be waiting on him while your house is a mess. The whole experience with positive additions is extremely frustrating. I had to let him go and will have to find another contractor.

Where to begin? Finding a contractor to work on your home can be a scary process. Are they insured?…read moreWill they complete the job? Are they trying to overcharge you? You could take your chances with a random Google listing, or you could call Buford General Contractors and get real professionals. Our job was a complex one. Our house is 40 years old and was suffering considerable wood rot on the deck that had spread into the side of the house. This caused not only a rickety, rotting deck, but water leaks in the house where the wood had rotted through. Not good! What started as a simple deck resurfacing turned into a complex job involving rebuilding the deck stairs, ripping out the old rotten wooden deck surface, replacing it with more durable surfacing that was resistant to rot, and this is the most hairy part.....finding the source of those water leaks and stopping them. One great thing about Buford is that they have great relationships with local subcontractors. If something is not their specialty, they have a Rolodex of numbers they can call for vetted, quality contractors to assist. This job required many specialties, and they coordinated with specialists to give us a great job done the first time. When big storms came after the job and there was still some leaking, they had a man onsite that day who quickly identified the source of an additional leak coming from rotted trim boards above the deck. This was very good and totally not their fault, as the trim boards above the deck were not part of the deck resurfacing, stair rebuilding and wood rot remediation of the deck itself. The price for this additional work was more than fair and it was done quickly and professionally. Seriously, if you live around Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville or HEB, call them. They were always prompt, professional and reasonable. Not too expensive and not too cheap. You get what you pay for, after all.
