I love this place!!! My wife found this place and I am glad she did. We were able to pick out our granite, put a deposit down, have the guy measure and pick up our under mount sink and install in under 48 hours. Are you kidding me? I was building my man bar and all I needed was a counter. Granite Gallery to the rescue! They had a bunch of granite in stock at there yard. We were able to look through it and we found what we wanted. The best part is that my wife and I agreed on the same stone. We did a little negotiating and we were able to come up with a fair price. We did some hand shaking and ran a credit card for a deposit. The next day the guy showed up to measure...it was Thursday. We were suppose to install on Monday but they called Friday and asked if they could install sooner. No one does that...so I said yes!!! We are so happy we found this company. I wish I had more counters to install. I highly recommend this place based on price and professionalism. In the future I will be coming back here for any counter needs. read more

This was BY FAR the easiest part of the Great Bathroom Remodel of 2013. Sure, I only needed a small slab of granite to put in my bathroom window, but still - if you had any idea how painful this process has been for someone who lacks any design skills whatsoever (e.g., "which SHADE of white do you want?" ....WHITE!!), you would understand how grateful I was to walk into this place, be helped immediately, assisted with the finding the right color/style, etc, placed my order, paid, and out the door in less than 20 minutes....not only would you forgive me for the longest run-on sentence ever in this review, but you would be as over the moon as I was about this place. Seriously. Came in on a Saturday, found granite, determined style of cut, placed order and paid a mere $40. Was told it would be ready by Monday. Fast forward to Monday morning and I'm placing a frantic call trying to catch them before they did any cutting because my contractor requested an extra inch. Boom. Done. No problem. A couple hours later I got a call letting me know it was done. I finally came back the following Saturday for pickup and a) I wasn't charged for the extra inch and b) they insisted on carrying this tiny slab of granite to the car for me. Love! We needed a granite top put on top of an old dresser converted into a bathroom vanity. Wanted 21" inches front to back. Owner came out to measure and somehow added an extra 1/2" to what we wanted . After installation we noticed the granite top was 5/8" wider than what we asked for. Now it looks like a ledge sticking off the front of the vanity. They wanted an extra $600 to fix their error. Never. They get two stars because the install was nicely done. The business end is awful. I am a contractor and have been in this business for fifteen years. This company has no professionalism or common courtesy. First off, they never showed up the Wednesday they were supposed to start and never even called to cancel. They then showed up on Friday and didn't have two pieces with them. Then they showed up four days later with the two pieces but without a small table top. I asked the owner about the table top and he said he didn't include it in price. That was BS because I showed him the table the day he came to measure for the kitchen. You would think he would include the small 2' table for nothing if he forgot it in his price. Especially after a $3600 project. Instead he wanted $200 extra for a remnant sitting in his shop. I will be backcharging this company for the two hours I spent waiting for them on their original start date. read more

Went to the gallery and the sales staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I gave them dimensions, they gave me a quote and I signed a contract immediately. I'm not a haggler or pain in the butt customer. I generally pay the price and get rewarded with good service. But not this time. If only I could post photos of what this granite looks like.....first, they cut the length of one section 1/2" short. The installers noticed it right away and discussed how to fix it. They decided to slide it down so the gap was at the wall end and not at the finished end. Maybe it would have worked but (as they know from the field measurements) I'm installing white marble mosaic tile on the wall -- not a backsplash. Tile is1/4" thick, a backsplash is over an 1" thick so gives more room for error. The installers said the tile would still cover the gap. Guess what? It doesn't. The manager sends a guy to fill the gap with Liquid Nails and says "it will be fine. " It still is not. There is a dark brown line between my light colored and white backsplash. He says my wall is crooked. It's not -- the gap is a uniform 1/2" all the way across. They can't cut a new piece because there is not enough scrap from the slab. Also, they used Liquid Nails to attach one section of the granite and clear silicone on the rest, so sometimes there is a noticeable dark brown line above my custom black cabinets, sometimes not. My take: This place uses outdated technology and does not stand behind their mistakes. The granite was manually measured using a wooden yardstick. No template was made. Friends said their fabricators used a camera with software to get the cuts right, even to reflect imperfections in a bowed wall. It you want granite that doesn't quite fit but the manager thinks an appropriate fix is to fill the gap with LIQUID NAILS, go here. For the same price you can go to another place that will use modern technology and provide a custom fit. read more

Horrible experience and customer service. We received the estimation for kitchen island's countertop and picked the slab. My husband paid the down payment and the guy said he'll come on Wednesday morning. No show no call the whole day.. My husband called the customer service and she didn't even say sorry or listen first. She just kept babbling and at the end she said so you want your money back?! Very rude! We cancelled the check and went ahead using other company that is more professional, reliable and less expensive! My advice: Stay away from this business before you're just wasting your time! read more

love this place. my wife and I wanted a very oddly-sized piece of granite for a hole we put to open up the wall connecting our basement kitchen and living room - so we went to this place as it's walking distance, and immediately were bewildered by the (literally) hundreds of sheets of granite they have outside lined up. we spoke to a salesman, who said "you know, if you aren't picky about the color, I may have a deal for you, hold on a sec..." turns out that not an hour earlier delivery guys (who were standing right near us, looking pissed off) had dropped a huge and pricey sheet of a fancy piece of Brazilian granite called "Ubatuba," which is a striking forest green with gold flecks. one of the pieces which cracked off turned out to be useless for a counter, but just the right size for what we needed (about 2 feet by 9 inches). They cut and polished this piece for us for all of $60. But the best part is I can honestly tell people I got this great deal as it "fell off the back of a truck," which is usually parlance for something a good deal more shady, ifn' you get my drift. read more

Very odd place. They don't seem to be terribly professional. I've been looking for a remnant of a very specific type of stone. Was told over the phone they had something- however the woman was barely listening to the description of what I was looking for. When I arrived, they had nothing close. The gentleman helping me kept saying, "just pick something else- we'll give you a good price..." So aggravating. I didn't want something else. They can't be faulted for not having what I was looking for, of course. But the quick response on the phone without paying close attention to what I was saying coupled with the dismissive attitude I was subject to in the showroom will definitely cause me to look elsewhere for my current and all future projects. read more

We utilized their services to remodel our condo bathroom in Fall of 2013 and kitchen in Kitchen in spring 2014. The bathroom job was a two weekend project taking an extra weekend due to a misunderstand of tile design that was rectofied. My husband and I had them strip all old contractor special tile and remove the contractors underlaying drywall with cement board as it should be. We had picked out a subway tile with accents of glass tile from another store. We supplied the tiles and grout and they provided the knoweldge and skill to put in the tile. We where very pleased with their service we used them again when redoing the kitchen. We replaced the fermica with a beautiful granite piece that we were not able to find at another store for the same great price. We sold our condo in 2015 and have moved into a Craftman fixer upper. We will definitely be going back when we are ready to remodel the bath this spring. read more

Do not go to this place, from my personal experience and what I uncovered you will be SCAMMED. My family was scammed and if you search Granite Gallery Inc. in the cook county fraud listing, they have been found liable of home repair fraud or consumer fraud within the past 5 years, with more than 1 complaint. The company goes by many different names. Before you go with a granite company make sure it is not owned by Wieslaw Gizynski, who is named on the website listing his company as fraudulent. read more

Used Granite Gallery, now Home Gallery, three years ago for a small bathroom granite top, no problems. Just used them for my kitchen countertop and I would not recommend them to anyone. They're listed with the state's attorney's office for at least two counts of fraud, the Better Business Bureau they have a D- and I've since found other bad reviews. Just take my word for it, you can't trust the saleswoman/owner. There are many other fabricators, look elsewhere. By the way, if you look at the Cook County Recorder of Deeds under both Granite and Home Gallery you'll see that they have placed many liens on people's property. Why? Because people don't pay when a job is poorly done or they've been deceived. read more
