I went through Lowe's, but they used Granite & Trend as the actual contractor. I can't say enough good things about them. I had the kitchen cabinet doors replaced, new granite countertops, new sink & faucet, an island built, new backsplash, and the cabinet & island painted. I am sooooo happy with the outcome. Carmen, in the office, was always professional and polite, and conveyed any message I had to the right people very quickly. Dickson, the main contractor, was a gem. He is very meticulous about getting the details correct. Juan, the painter, was wonderful as well. He made sure all the painted doors were perfectly aligned, and the soft doors closed nicely. Every person who came into my home from G&T was professional, polite, and pleasant to have around. I did use the designer Lowe's uses, but she mainly comes out and shows you the options. I knew what I wanted already, although she was very helpful with getting the granite, which came from Granite & Marble Solutions. They were great also. And the actual stone cutters, which went through G&T were great. I was able to go out with the template provided by Dickson and get the slab cut exactly the way I wanted it to be. I absolutely recommend Grante & Trend Transformations highly and would definitely use them again. This is a national company, but I think each one is owned by different people. This one in Buford is a BBB accredited member and has had zero complaints. read more

AWESOME Master Bath Remodel This is the second time I've hired this company to upgrade the builder's grade finishes in our condo. In February 2017 the Granite Transformations franchise (then located at Presidential Pkwy) refaced my kitchen cabinets and master bath vanity (Expressions-Stella line). They also replaced the granite vanity top with Calacatta quartz. BEAUTIFUL!!! In July 2018 I decided that it was time to complete the master bath remodel. When I called the same Granite Transformations location I was told that the company was bought out by Silver Oak Remodel and no longer existed. I wasted time letting Silver Oak Remodel present me with an outrageously over priced estimate. They did not get the job. I hired another contractor. However, for the surround of the new under-mounted tub I knew that I wanted to use the same Calacatta quartz that was installed on the vanity. After weeks into the remodel and numerous calls to source the same Calacatta quartz I was happy to learn that a new "Trend Transformations" was in the Atlanta area (same company, same product lines, same quality - new name). That's where Guido Tamayo, the owner of the Braselton Hwy franchise, came into the project. As a co-contractor, he and his team (Design Consultants: Abby and Brent & Installers: Billie and Josue) worked seamlessly and professionally to ensure that the most impactful design element of the bath remodel was expertly installed. Just..WOW!!! Bottom line: I don't often write reviews and definitely don't like writing retractions. My bath remodel was completed in October 2018, so after 6 months of taking it all in, this is my review: I highly recommend Trend Transformations, particularly the Team Guido franchise. My wife and I needed to have a renovation done in our first floor level bathroom to accomidate our elderly Mother, we called GT (Granite Transformations) to give us a quote . The sales people were nice ,seemed trust worthy. They gave us a quote the price was in the ball park,the designer sent us to their website to look at works previously completed, not to mention they completed work for HGTV. We agreed to have the bathroom work done feeling confident we asked them to look at the kitchen as well; we agreed to have the kitchen work done as well they told us they have an app that tracks the progress of the work which would be a great if the company used it and kept it updated, the one thing I failed to mention is that my wifeand I were out of the country during the initial contacts my sister was on site GT gave us unrealistic expectations; when they so called finished the bathroomwe had to call them back three times to get it right. Every time a worker comes out they bash the previous contractor. Now to the kitchen they have had to come back four times so far to fix what was installed to make matters worse we haven't had our final walkthrough with the company. I keep finding shotty short cuts which I don't think are safe. After talking to the various tradesmen that have come over most of them are subcontractors for GT they don't actually work for them I guess that's why they all talk bad about the company. I wrote all that to say this do your homework before you give your hard earned dollars away to a company that is just out for a quick buck and not the people, I'm looking for a reputable company that will deliver as promised. This company wants 50% up front and a little at the end if they cause damage to your property there isn't much left. My family will not use this company again, not a good experience. read more

The designer helped me picture things I couldn't even imagine my house being like and the amount of word they did in small amount of time is insane these people are helpful, professional, great communication, they have it all!! In the span of 2 days, Granite Transformations came into my house and transformed my kitchen countertops, added a new sink, new back splash and added some pendants. It was a no fuss installation as they did not have to demo any of our current countertops. Whole process was about 3-4 weeks as they came in, did measurements and estimates along with making a model of our countertops, then when installation day came, they brought the custom fabricated (fabrication is why the 3-4 weeks) new quartz countertops in and they were ready to use in a few hours. The designers were creative and fun to work with and the installers were knowledgeable, efficient, and considerate. Not happy initially but the company is working with us to find a satisfactory solution. The installers are very good. Definitely ask questions up front and make sure they explain everything so that your expectations are in line with what you are getting. I think the salespeople can do a better job of explaining the details ie if you get your shower done, it is a full week until your glass enclosure is installed and once that is in, it's another 72 hrs before you can use because the silicone has to dry. Ask questions so that you don't run into these unexpected surprises. read more

Do not use this company. I have been trying to get an appointment with the designer only to be told she is not opening up any new appointments, I got the answering machine for almost 2 days and when I reached the receptionist this morning I was informed they don't have an answering machine. I asked if this company is going out of business and her answers were vague. I checked the number that I had been calling and it was right. There is something weird going on in this company and I would not trust them to work with me. I can't imagine what the problem is with this comapny. read more

I reached out to Granite Transformations to schedule a consultation for pricing and to discuss some minor kitchen updates. I'm currently in the process of having several contractors do some bidding so decided to call them to provide an estimate as well. Whelp when I first called to schedule an appointment with Jennifer -the design consultant to come out, the woman I spoke with asked if I was married and my husbands name?!! Ok thought that was a bit odd but I rolled with it. On the day of the scheduled consult with Jennifer she texted me to ask if my husband and I would be available to push up our 3 o'clock appointment since her day was clear. I checked my appointments and my final meetings were wrapping up around 1:30ish so I let her know it would be fine to come at 2 but my husbands boss was in town and he wouldn't be there for the design consult, just me. Well, she proceeded to tell me that both spouses MUST be present for the design consult. I thought this was rude in assuming that I was not the decision maker nor the one financing the project? Also this was only for an estimate appointment so I was really taken back by the response and felt a little too 1950s to me. The rest of the contractors I've called have had no issues with just meeting with myself and I'm assuming they'll have no troubles with the check I'll be writing as well. We had considered updating our bathroom for over a year. We had heard the advertising for Granite Transformations and decided to set up an appointment. They sent out a designer and she was very helpful. After comparing their products to the other options we had we decided we felt most comfortable with Granite Transformations. They were not the lowest price, but they were able to sell us on the value . We most liked their speed in doing the job. We did a $20,000 job in less than two and a half weeks. If I could do it all over again, for the price you pay and the work that is done you are better off getting the real deal. Customer service is horrible all the way down to the owner. The pushy sales associate Christy came to my home and did the measurements and quoted a price. At the time, she told me that the amount of countertop space I currently had we be the same amount of space I would have when the job was complete. With the exception of the back lip against the wall. Since I was having backsplash put in, the lip would be removed and that would be the only additional countertop space I would end up with. Her words to be and my fiancée were, "granite transformation countertop is only a thin cover up that goes over your existing countertops". My dishwasher is one that has the setting on the top instead of the face of the dishwasher. Some of these dishwashers are designed to be hidden and not utilized unless you open it. Those type dishwashers, the settings (buttons), can not even be seen if the dishwasher is closed. This particular dishwasher that I have the buttons are designed to be utilized and seen even if the dishwasher is closed per the user manual. By the time the job was completed, I could no longer utilize those buttons when the dishwasher is closed. There is not even enough room to put my finger in between the space. When Christy was there she told us, we would be able to utilize those buttons when the dishwasher was closed, just like we had done in the past. When I called Granite Transformations after the job was done, their argument was not, well the dishwasher was designed to only be utilized when the door was open, that was not their argument until they (technician) came back out to my home and made an attempt to lower the dishwasher (and realized their was not enough room to lower it), then they wanted to cut my ceramic floors and pull the dishwasher out, and I told them absolutely NOT. Then three days later the designer called and asked me what the model number was on the dishwasher and to "text" it to him. I did and then he researched the model and called me back with, the dishwasher was designed to sit underneath the countertop. I referred to the maker and the owner's manual to find out different. He then told me he was done with it and would have the owner call me. I also explained to him that they extended the end of the countertop and back splash on one end of my kitchen and it now extends past the cabinets. When the owner finally contacted me a week later he left a message and we played phone tag, I advised him of the issues, and that I will not pay the balance until this gets resolved (which it states in the contract money is not due until the customer is satisfied). Without even making an attempt to come to my home he told me pay the balance and they would come out and work on the issues. Well it's only been 4 weeks since you so called finalized the job. Wouldn't you want to come and correct the issues and then request your payment, since that is what the contract states???? The owner was no different from the reps, rude and totally out talked me instead of saying, let me come to your home and see what is going on. He blew me off and stated "so you think you are going to get brand new counter tops and not pay for them?" No, I gave you half and your contract stated for me not to pay until I was satisfied. So do you Josh expect me to pay you the balance when you haven't resolved the issue? I am more than happy to post before and after pictures. Had I known I would have experienced these issues, I would have gone with the real thing and purchased "real" granite countertops, which would have only ran me a couple more hundred dollars and I would have had the same amount of counter space. I used granite transformations to do my kitchen and baths. Initially the results were not everything I dreamed of but, thanks to Jennifer and Dewayne I am more than satisfied. I now have the kitchen with a goose neck faucet that I ordered. Thank you Jennifer for diligently working with me to get this to be what I wanted. They are now beautiful kitchen and baths. After hearing rave reviews on 95.5 WSB and seeing all the photos and reviews online I decided to get a quote on our 1986 master bath remodel. Jennifer with Granite Transformations called and scheduled our in home consultation on Saturday July 23 with Travis. Travis was late to our appointment and said it was because he had no idea we were so far from Alpharetta...google maps? The first thing he said was "it looks like you keep the house up from the outside." He then proceeded to go through the whole presentation and when we told him we had no plans to spend over $20,000 on a bathroom remodel he pretended to measure our bathroom in 2 minutes then said Jennifer will call you Monday to set up our next meeting. That was 3+ weeks ago and we have heard nothing...not a word, I assume since we are outside the preferred Alpharetta zip code our business isn't worthy of granite transformations. I do not often write reviews, but since both Home Depot and two local contractors we also contacted have called incessantly eager to do our remodel I wanted to let everyone know the ads are tainted unless you're of the Kardashian lifestyle! read more
