Custom Kitchen, Inc replaced my 1977 laminate countertops with exquisite granite. It's very different and matches well with the existing cabinets and our stone fireplace. When at the yard, I told the owner what I was looking for and he drove me to four samples and I loved three of them so it was apparent that he had listened carefully to what I wanted. I also liked picking the edge and corners. (Who knew there were so many choices.) The measurements were taken with a template, not a laser. On the the day of the templates, the crew pointed out a problem which neither the designer nor the construction manager for kitchen renovation had noticed and/or mentioned. We were able to anticipate the solution thanks to Custom Kitchen. And we were sent several pictures that showed how they proposed to lay out the templates on the granite. I suggested that the largest piece be flipped 180 degrees to pick up a "swoop" in the natural flow of the granite. I was sent another set of pictures which matched my very unscientific description, perfectly. The island needed 3 pieces of granite to accommodate the new range. the two pieces on the side are nicely matched and the third piece across the back of the range fits in very well. While the whole of the kitchen renovation turned into an extended nightmare, choosing and installing the granite was easy-peasy. read more

Buyer beware. Pay attention to the details, they won't. We were ultimately left dissatisfied with a poor seam match. We were referred to Custom Kitchen Inc by another contractor we have worked with and we were initially happy with the process of upgrading our kitchen to granite countertops. We visited the showroom a few times over a few months to select the top 3 slabs we liked and ultimately went back to finalize the contract on our favorite slab. Once we were ready to move forward with our project (after replacing the kitchen appliances), Danny the owner visited the job site to measure and make the necessary templates. During this visit, he advised that the window ledge was going to impede the installation of the new kitchen faucet and there was a discussion that the ledge would need to be altered or a shorter faucet would be needed. There was an understanding by us that the installers would be able to make the alteration to the window ledge, which would have involved cutting it back by about 2 inches in a straight horizontal line. The week before the installation, we went back to view the templates and were shown multiple slabs out in the exterior showroom. We needed 6 different pieces and 2 would be seamed together. The multiple templates were placed over about 3-4 different slabs which were spaced anywhere from 5-20 feet apart. Some of the templates were upside down and we had to imagine how they would look turned the right way and when placed together. We spent about 45 minutes viewing the slabs, making selections and asking questions about blending the pieces and making sure the design would flow well in our kitchen when installed. The employee that helped us (also named Danny) assured us he would make it look good. Our job included removing the old countertops, installing the new granite countertops with a 1-year sealer, installing a new sink and having a plumber install the new faucet we purchased. The day of the installation, the installers showed up and began the job which included removing the old laminate counters. When I inquired about them making the alteration to the window ledge above the sink, they advised they were not able to do that and I needed to talk to the owner. After a lot of back-and-forth with the owner (he denies that they were to make the alteration), we were left with an option that they could cut a semi-circle notch out of the ledge so the plumber could install the faucet that afternoon. This was a Friday, so we didn't want to go into the weekend without a working sink faucet. They completed that and we were less than happy with the aesthetics. At that point in the job, it was left to us to find someone to finish the job. Why would we not have had that done in advance if our understanding was that we were responsible for that? Problem #1. Then, once the L-shaped granite pieces were installed, we noticed a very visible seam of 2 pieces that did not blend or match well. Problem #2. We expressed our concern and were once again told we needed to talk to the owner. In talking to the owner, he advised that we had chosen an "exotic" slab design and it was hard to match. We expressed that we believed they could have done a much better job matching those 2 pieces. After an extensive amount of back-and-forth, we were advised that we approved the selections and asked what else they could have done to make it better? This was BEFORE the owner had even seen a photo of the seam. How do you defend your work and you haven't even seen it? I sent a photo to the owner, but to no avail. He stuck by his stance that he didn't know what else he could have done and that was the best he could do. The fact of the matter is that they used 2 pieces from different slabs to salvage the better part of the remaining slab. I'm not an expert, but it seems a no-brainer that they would use the same slab for pieces that would be seamed together and match the light/dark sections together. That was the proper solution. It should be noted that he did ask his installers to come back in and cut the window ledge straight across. Other than that, we were offered no solution to the seam and we advised Danny that we were not satisfied with that part of the job. What I'm most disappointed with is that Danny put ALL of the responsibility on us by stating we selected and approved the template layout and also that we used an exotic slab. We are insurance and accounting professionals, not professionals in the granite business. When the slabs were cut, I would expect a higher level of professionalism and expertise in better matching the 2 seamed sections. Danny has made absolutely no effort to work to remedy the situation. So I say, buyer beware and pay attention to details if you use this company. Failure to do so could be to your detriment. Based on our experience and lack of an acceptable resolution, I do NOT recommend this company. Satisfaction is NOT guaranteed. I'm attaching photos of their work. read more

Wow! Custom Kitchen, Inc. has been incredible from the start of our kitchen remodeling project through installation. When we decided to replace our countertops and backspash, we read countless reviews of many companies. After reading the overwhelming positive reviews of Custom Kitchen, Inc., we visited their showroom. We were assisted by Megan. She was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She listened to what we wanted and made several suggestions. Then she walked with us out to see the slabs. We had to wait until a new island was installed before going ahead with the process. When we were ready, we went back in and signed our contract. James came out the next day to make our templates. He was professional, knowledgeable, and went to great detail in making the templates. He was incredibly neat and respectful of our home. The next step was going in for the template placement on our actual slabs. They made every effort to select parts of multiple slabs to make our finished product look amazing. We were extremely pleased with what they had selected! Finally, the installation date was set. On the day of installation, the guys gave us a call to let us know they were on their way. They were friendly, polite, respectful, meticulous, and knowledgeable. They worked hard! They were incredibly neat and tidied up so nicely! We are ecstatic with our new kitchen! We highly recommend this company, these wonderful employees, and quality selection. read more

My experience with Custom Kitchen INC. was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a small business. After spending over $8,000 on my counter tops, the owner, Danny charged me an additional $125.00 per hour to come out to clean the counters and re-caulk the sinks in the master bath (just 2 months after they were installed). The next day, we noticed that Danny installed one sink crooked and we contacted him asking that he come out to correct his mistake. After hanging up on my husband, he later called back to say "I had a bad day and would be happy to come out for an additional $250.00". He continued on saying "I knew the sink was crooked when I left your house but since 9 out of 10 customers would never notice, I decided not to mention it". Since this call, Danny has refused to respond to our emails and calls. He has also refused to issue us an invoice for the $400.00 we paid him for this visit (he was aware that we needed this invoice to give to the builder to obtain reimbursement for the counters getting dirty during the final stages of construction). I would advise against using this company for any job big or small. The owner is very unprofessional and actually rude and threatening when called out for his unethical business practices. read more

Daniel Parasca and his staff at Custom Kitchens installed granite countertops in my kitchen. I was able to pick the granite I wanted from multiple slabs. There are so many from which to choose! Danny and his crew replaced our kitchen and 1/2 bath counters with granite and a new travertine backsplash. Simon and Danny were most helpful and supportive in the showroom. James was meticulous in measuring for the templates which were laid out on our actual granite ahead of time so that we could see what the final counters would look like (Simone helped with this too). Javier and Matei were two of the installers and did a wonderful professional job! Another James, the plumber, put in our new faucets. There was an issue with the installation of the faucet in the bathroom sink and he worked diligently to make it right. I recommend this entire crew without hesitation. Ever since they came and renovated our countertops, we have been pleased with the results! They were very professional and we were pleased with their attention to detail when it came to the clean-up process afterward. They were prompt and on-time and honored the arrival time! There was an incident where the mirror in our bathroom fell and broke, but they replaced the mirror in a timely manner without any hassles. These guys are simply the best. Danny was great and professional when he came to estimate my kitchen countertops. I was able to pick out the color I wanted from the wide selection he brought with him since I didn't have the time to go to their showroom. However, the color was exactly what I wanted. When it came time for him to come and do the final measurements we had an urgent situation with our dog getting hurt and had to rush him to the vet I felt 100% comfortable with Danny staying behind at our house to finish our measurements (we also had contractors working in one of our rooms). I'm usually not one to leave someone in my home but for me to feel 100% safe and okay that's saying something! Professional and stellar! Had our sink and countertops installed yesterday and the guys took their time and did a superb job. I am all about details and hard to please, but I must say Custom Kitchen went out and beyond at their job! I am very pleased with Custom Kitchen. I regret not finding them sooner to do our bathroom vanity but thankfully I found them to do our kitchen countertops. All I have to say is choose only them, you will not be disappointed!!!
