The property they renovated was 50 years old, yet they were able to meld old with new and preemptively replace infrastructure that was overdue for failure along the way at a lower cost. Beaux and Razvan were very quick to explain the process, helping me to understand the expected costs and even gave me some suggestions (like an updated sink) that makes the countertops (and my kitchen) look more contemporary. Given the area of the slab that I wanted as the island, they were able to find an arrangement of the remaining slab that PERFECTLY continued the granite grain into the back corner (see picture 3/4). Stunned how well they did on that piece. The installation team arrived on time, explained the process, was super friendly, and finished in only two hours - from granite removal, granite installation, attaching and bonding the sink, and preparing the sink area for the plumbing. And they cleaned up almost everything after they were done. Very professional. Oh, and you might see that the caulking against the wall looks imperfect, but I asked the guys not to worry about making it perfect as I'm tiling once the bonding has cured and would have been a waste of time; I'm sure they'd have made it perfect otherwise. I cannot say how much they exceeded my expectations. Thanks so much guys! Now you have me shopping for a new DW and range to live up to these beautiful new countertops. ;-)

I learned a very hard lesson working with this company. Never work with a contractor who is…read moreunwilling to pull permits. I hired R Contracting services based on the recommendation of a neighbor whom they did renovations for in the past. My project was to build a roof over my patio. When signing the contract, Renee was unwilling to pull a permit for the contract for the project, even though the roof was an addition to the house. I secured a permit under my name and thank God I did. The framing failed inspection due to no rafter straps, posts not being properly bolted and a post being cut differently than the other two without being properly secured. After they corrected those issues, they attempted to use water-damaged molded wood for the ceiling of the roof. When I told them it was unacceptable, their initial response was that they would "clean it" and put mold-resistant primer on the wood. I held firm because my son has Asthma. They eventually replaced the wood on the ceiling. The final straw was when they were finishing up and I had to notify them that a moved downspout was pointed towards a window. A two-week quoted project, ended up taking four. They were more concerned about getting paid than doing quality work or doing the project right the first time. -I would not recommend them to anyone.

Custom Kitchen, Inc replaced my 1977 laminate countertops with exquisite granite. It's very…read moredifferent and matches well with the existing cabinets and our stone fireplace. When at the yard, I told the owner what I was looking for and he drove me to four samples and I loved three of them so it was apparent that he had listened carefully to what I wanted. I also liked picking the edge and corners. (Who knew there were so many choices.) The measurements were taken with a template, not a laser. On the the day of the templates, the crew pointed out a problem which neither the designer nor the construction manager for kitchen renovation had noticed and/or mentioned. We were able to anticipate the solution thanks to Custom Kitchen. And we were sent several pictures that showed how they proposed to lay out the templates on the granite. I suggested that the largest piece be flipped 180 degrees to pick up a "swoop" in the natural flow of the granite. I was sent another set of pictures which matched my very unscientific description, perfectly. The island needed 3 pieces of granite to accommodate the new range. the two pieces on the side are nicely matched and the third piece across the back of the range fits in very well. While the whole of the kitchen renovation turned into an extended nightmare, choosing and installing the granite was easy-peasy.

Sunny estimated his guys could get the job done in 10-12 business days. They got it done in 9 total days. Sunny thought some of my floor tiling might get destroyed and might have to get replaced when his workers demolished the shower. Instead they demolished the shower and had everything out of the house for trash pick-up in a few hours without scratching a single tile on the floor. His team constantly exceeded expectations. They showed up on time every day and worked almost non-stop until the end of the day. At the end of it all, the quality of work done by everyone on the team was top notch.
