A year later my wife and daughter bring our new puppy in for a first check up....and they brought them all into the room where they put our dog down. Absolute low class and zero thought and we had to talk our 9 year old down from that. The Horror. So new dog fully grown, I say hey are you charging us more fore these meds because we come in, because other retailers are much cheaper. "Oh, well if you use our online shop we price match...." -front desk 3 freaking years of buying one at a time and NO ONE told us they ever had an online shop. I come to find out, because we did what they ask, "just come in get her weight and we will give you her meds right there" was a a 30.00 clip for every dose!!! The robbery.

The kindness and compassion they showed us during that experience meant so much to our family, and because of that, I transferred our pets there as regular clients. I had wonderful experiences with Dr. Mundal and always felt our pets received thoughtful, attentive care from her. Unfortunately, after she left the practice, my experience changed significantly. One of the vet tech experiences left a very bad impression on me due to impatience and poor communication. I specifically requested not to work with that tech again. Beyond that, appointments often felt unprepared. Rather than reviewing my pet's chart beforehand, I was repeatedly asked for information that was already documented in the file, including medication lists and prior treatments. It became frustrating to feel like I was constantly re-explaining established medical history. I also repeatedly received reminders for vaccines and services that had already been completed months earlier. After this happened multiple times, it began to create concern about organization, oversight, and confidence in the accuracy of my pets' records. It was disappointing because our initial experience with Old Town was so positive and compassionate. Ultimately, due to the ongoing communication and organizational concerns, I decided to move my pets' care elsewhere.

I asked them if I could come back and they wanted to charge me more money. This time I too him to Old Town Vet Hospital. Emily [technician] was so extremely nice and helpful. She told me about home ear flushes I can do with Jerry. Emily was also very thorough explaining to the doctor what was wrong. While I was there I found a tick on my dogs ear. Dr. Harding was able to remove the tick and gave me instructions of odd signs to look for if my dog was affected. Dr. Harding told me about allergies my dog may have that might be contributing to his ear infections that I had no idea of. She gave me several different options for allergy treatment. She also gave me ear drops and prednisone to help with Jerry severe ear infection. Dr. Harding spent a lot of time going over treatments to prevent these chronic ear infections. She also gave me options that were more cost effective. Savanna came in at the end and gave me the medications and checked us out. None of these steps and treatment were given to me at Georgetown Veterinary Hospital and was charged a lot more with no resolution for Jerry. I absolutely felt heard and that my dog was taken well care of by Old Town Vet Hospital. I truly believe the staff wanted to get to the root of the issue so these ear infections do not keep happening. I would rate the staff and Dr. Harding 5 stars.

No one ever wants the phone call telling them that their dog is dying. My sweet boy, Diesel, was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and hearing that there was nothing more we could do was one of the hardest moments of my life. Even in that heartbreaking conversation, Dr. Mitchell met me with incredible compassion. When I asked if I could bring Diesel home for one last night together before saying goodbye the next morning, he understood how important that time was to me. I'll always be thankful for that grace. Losing a pet is devastating. You know they'll never live forever, but nothing truly prepares you for the day you have to let them go. Throughout the entire process, I never felt alone. Dr. Mitchell, Dr. Morehead, and the entire team treated Diesel with dignity, kindness, and genuine love. They answered every question, never rushed me, and helped me make the hardest decision I've ever had to make. What stands out most about this clinic is that they care. They celebrate the good days with you, and they walk through the hardest days with you too. You can tell they became veterinarians because they love animals and the people who love them. They are thorough, knowledgeable, honest, and incredibly compassionate. Diesel was my best friend. We navigated my twenties together, and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss him. Knowing he was cared for by people who loved him too brings me an incredible amount of peace. On a lighter note, I also love their rewards program. While I'm not ready for another dog anytime soon, it makes me smile knowing those points will be there if that day ever comes. Within 24 hours, her dog developed aspiration pneumonia, went into septic shock, and died. She walked into this clinic healthy. She was not elderly, she was not critically ill, and there was nothing remotely suggesting that she was on the brink of death. She was there for a DENTAL. What happened under this clinic's care is absolutely horrifying. The intubation and airway management were not handled properly. And before anyone tries to blame this on something that happened after she left: she did not vomit. There was no event at home that caused this. She went into this clinic healthy and came out with a catastrophic complication from the procedure performed under their care. A HEALTHY 5-YEAR-OLD DOG WENT IN FOR A ROUTINE DENTAL AND DIED WITHIN 24 HOURS. My mom trusted this clinic with her dog's life. They failed her. This was not some unavoidable tragedy that happened out of nowhere. There were measures that should have been taken to protect her airway and prevent aspiration. Those measures were not taken, and my mom's dog paid for it with her life. She should still be alive. If you love your dog, stay the hell away from this place.

We arrive for the appointment & the tech starts asking me questions that I'd already thoughtfully & completely provided online prior to appointment date. It was a waste of my time to follow instructions online only to have to repeat the process in person. In this, the office could use an organizational overhaul. Now my boy is reactive: fear, leash & fence; with a very high prey drive. Rather than showing me a compassionate smile, I could see the staff rolling their eyes at each other, just a total lack of empathy.
