I went up to the service yard a few weeks ago to get fencing supplies and feed for my older horses. The guys there were very helpful and knowledgeable and helped me find what I needed. Mat took the time to explain the different feed and helped me decide what was best for my old horse. And then me loaded it up for me and by the time that was done the guy on the fork-lift, Dan or Din maybe, already had all my fencing supplies ready. They loaded me up and had me on my way really quick! I highly recommend the service yard at Grange. Great staff. Thanks guys. read more

This is such a fun place to wander around and shop. They have everything. Great selection of Carhartt. Even better the actual Carhartt store in Medford. Employees are super friendly. Plus they were taking resident ferrets on a walk around the store. There nothing they don't have. read more

The staff here at the grants pass location is KNOWN for harassing customers and accusing them of stealing , following them around the store, and getting in customers faces ! The theft prevention lady is RUDE and that's being nice ! The tall guy with the long brown hair is straight up the same way, rude asf. they don't help you when you ask questions, they don't know what they have in stock , I could go on. Not to mention everything is OVERPRICED. I will never recommend this grange or any other grange location. Go to tractor supply , they have everything you need and MORE! We came across this Cool farm supply/garden store on a recent journey and it proved to be an interesting afternoon. As a visitor to the area, I was able to find pretty much everything "farm supply" related as well as a nice selection of implements and amendments for garden work. The prices seemed on a he high side of retail, but for remote Pacific Northwest, not to far out of line. The location is convenient to the road frontage, though traffic on our visit was busy. The couple of folks working there that engaged me in conversation were professional and knowledgeable, and asked me if there were any specific questions I had. The counter help though not overly friendly, processed my transactions quickly and efficiently. The store manager treated me with disrespect when I came in to return a plant that I had bought the day before. The plant had mites. She told me, "for future reference all house plant sales are final." I was sold a faulty product and it should be replaced. The store itself is great, just stay clear of the store manager and the mites and you'll be fine! read more

The staff here has always been very helpful and friendly, willing to go out of their way to help me find out what I need. Their organic feed for chickens and livestock is less expensive than anywhere else that I've found. Keep in mind that Rogue Feed is formulated and bagged locally, so buying it helps our local economy. Also, there is a nice selection of 'Made in the USA' goods, including boots. We vote with our dollars, you know, so it is important to put our $ where our mouth is, and support the workers who live in our community! read more

I found this business after doing some research online. I was looking for raw dog food treats and food for my 4 month old puppy. I was able to find great options for food and treats that I wasn't able to find any place else. They also had a mark down area and cute dog clothing and apparels. Prices weren't cheap but I really appreciate the convenience and ability to try things on which makes it easier for me. Mady loved her goodies too! read more

In 1987 the Josephine County Growers Co-op, which started back in 1927, merged with Grange Co-op. which started in 1934. Their store on F Street, near the railroad tracks was about 4000 square feet. They offer anything and everything you could want or need for farms, ranches, gardens, pets and homes. My daughter used to walk down to the hay barn and get "scrap" hay for her dog's house, all she had to do was rake it and bag it! The guys used to get a kick out of the little red headed girl! I was more into the gardening tools, plants, fertilizers and equine supplies (although I do NOT have a horse!). In 2005 they moved to their new 28,000 square foot store off Redwood Highway. This place is absolute heaven on earth for a country girl (which I AM NOT)! The same friendly helpful employees made the trek across the river to the new location and continue to offer the best customer service in the Rogue Valley. Although they now offer a wide variety of shoes, boots, ropers and some really nice clothing and accessories, they also sell PARAKEETS and anything you need for any kind of bird, domestic or wild! Now I am not (usually) a big fan of winged things, I've purchased three of the darned birds over the last year! Their full service nursery is one of the best in So. Oregon, carrying everything you need for year round gardening. They also have just about everything you need for your pets, including vaccinations (except rabies, gotta go to the vet for that), grooming supplies, bedding and toys. Also new is their gift/art section. They are the home of Rogue Myrtlewood carrying unique Rogue myrtlewood gift items. Although not "original" art, they have a small selection of beautiful western themed prints that are quite nice. I can spend hours (and have) at the Grange, seemingly without a care in the world and never feel rushed or like I'm under surveillance by store personnel. Grange Co-op is a civic minded cooperative which gives back to the community. Dogs are welcome, but be sure they have had their puppy shots, parvo is running rampant in Josephine County. read more

The staff here were helpful and actually did their diligence in their research on any animals they brought in. I was particularly impressed with their chinchilla set up. TL;DR- there's a giant checklist on here that shows the employees are willing to do research to provide the best habitat for their animals as possible. Their chinchilla set up shows that there is a true passion and compassion for the animals that they bring in. See when setting up an appropriate environment there's a lot of things that can go wrong if you assume they are like any other rodent. Chinchillas are nocturnal, which means the bright lights and proud exotic displays other pet stores show them off in are detrimental to their health for the duration of their stay in the pet store. However here the chinchillas were left with other nocturnal animals in a cage suited for their specific animal needs. Chinchillas are animals who exercise and move with a lot of vertical movement. So it was a pleasant surprise when the chinchilla cage wasn't a giant glass tank but instead a two tiered tower for them to hop up and down on. Next there was no dust bath in the cage, this another important detail because it means, not only is someone actively bathing the chinchilla, they don't leave the bath in. Chinchilla's love their dust baths so much that often they will refuse to leave them. When they don't leave they will urinate in the bath and then when they clean themselves their fur will soak it up leading to all sorts of problems. The cage also had chinchilla friendly toys and were fed mostly timothy hey, pellets and a limited number of treats per week. Chinchillas have very sensitive stomachs, non-toxic paint on a toy that a rat can go through every day all day will wreck havoc on a chinchilla's stomach. So will fruits, veggies, and nuts. All things that a person would normally assume a rodent can and should eat, and I have seen many stores feed their chinchilla's unhealthy snacks. The most impressive thing was there was no bedding in the cage, and the cage was clean. Paper bedding can be harmful to chinchillas if they eat the paper, and wood chips will damage and cut up their sensitive stomachs. Instead the cage was left with nothing in it, and when we saw the chinchilla there wasn't a massive amount of feces piled up. Which is impressive because chinchillas constantly poop. This means someone is constantly cleaning up behind the scenes in order to provide a clean cage as well as the most pleasant viewing experience. read more

Well I wanted to start out by saying I used to really like this store alot until today that is. So the girl and myself did a little shopping and went to the register and there was a new girl which no big deal at least she wants to learn but we had a return and during this return process the manager got involved and she was super rude to me to point where I will not be shopping there ever again. I just blew almost 700 bucks at that place and all i got for doing so was a little witch of a manager demanding to see my receipt which I had already thrown away!!! Disrespectful is all I can say I wont deal with that I'm shopping elsewhere. I dont know her but she was working today March 8 at around 2 o clock if she's gonna be straight rude and back talk maybe she shouldn't be working with people she was also very mouthy to the new girl which I thought was pretty pathetic. I love the Grange co-op! Lots of great stuff and good prices. We just moved here and are so happy to find a place that is not a large corporation to purchase homesteading supplies. I have purchased 3 Degus (they are chilian mice) from the grange. The problem started when I went to order another female or my loan female. It took them 2 plus months to get the pet in. I had originally told them I might be interested in 3 more which they assumed meant go ahead and order. I was very specific that it MUST be a female. They got 3 more in and called me and said they were males so I declined. Then they called back and said they were absolutely sure one was a female. So we took the Degu home only to discover it was a male. I have taken the Degu to the vet to verify and now will have to get him neutered. Management was unwilling to cover the cost of THEIR mistake and is hung up on the fact that I didnt buy Degus that I never committed to buying. They should no sell pets that they cannot accurately sex. To make a guarantee of a sex indicates you know what you are doing and you don't. There solution now is I can rerun the pet and they will order another one but they can't guarantee gender. What good does that do me? I will now just take care of the pet because you people are incompetent. Stop selling pets you don't understand it's dangerous and could lead to an overpopulation of unplanned and unwanted pets. This is bad buisness and worse poor animal care. read more

I have bought all of my chicken food at Grange co-op for the last six years and until recently have been satisfied, but a few months ago I got a bag that was probably 70% powder. I was given a refund on that bag and sent the Grange a letter. I expected the situation to improve; however, the last six bags have been 30-40% powder. I am unsure as to what I am going to do as I again need feed. I cannot afford to waste money, but know that unless the quality returns I must find somewhere else to buy chicken feed. read more

Most of what I previously posted about Grange is still true, I believe.......but since discovering that Farmers right across the street sells some of the same general stuff, fencing, hardware, farm and ranch supplies, at seemingly a little better prices, that when you factor in that Grange didn't pay a dividend last year, while Farmers has a rewards program that's given me at least $200 worth of rewards coupons in the roughly year and a half I've lived here, I was a little disappointed. Between electric fencing supplies, rubber stall mats, and assorted other items, I'm certain I spent at least $3000 at Grange since living here, I always see lots of vehicles at Grange, I was surprised that they weren't profitable.......still a really good store, with good employees, selling mostly top quality products, but I can't personally give them 5 stars anymore read more

A lot more frilly crap to choose from. I go here if I cant find what I need at our locally owned feeds stores. I do not like supporting large chain stores. But the staff is usually very helpful. I like to walk around inside to see what I would shop around for and get a better deal on.(most the time they fallow me thinking if ripping them off LOL) Awesome place for those snobby horse people who can afford to ooze a few extra dollars. read more
