    Sausage Platter

This is 5 stars mainly because it is a little local eatery that is cute. The ambiance is home towny and cute. I got the sausage platter with biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy was a standout. Service was great! You get food really fast.

Delicious and simple food. Nothing too fancy, except the stellar view. Felt like a million bucks sitting right next to gorgeous mountains. Cat head biscuits were amazing, country fried steak was seasoned perfectly. Great coffee. Straight forward and outstanding.

Very nice view from the restaurant! It is what you would expect from a small, family owned southern breakfast place. Hearty food that was good.

We searched yelp for breakfast ideas and this one came up. Soooo glad we chose this one. We LOVE the small quaint places. It was exactly that! The waitress was so welcoming. Our food came out quickly too. You won't regret the decision to eat here!

Been going here since I was 6 years old with my grandparents, it is by far the best place to eat in the townsend/wears valley area!

Very cozy little place with a nice ambiance and great service! We wanted to get there for breakfast but didn't make it in time so we ate from the lunch menu. The Veggie Platter was pretty good!

The coziest, warmest, homiest place to have a delicious breakfast. Super laid back atmosphere with beautiful views. Everything from coffee, to breakfast, and strawberry cake to-go was so good. Service was great. The biscuits and gravy reminded of my Granny's. Definitely a must-stop if you're in the area.

Stopped by hoping for some great food. Average at best. My shrimp was dark brown. Corn bread was too dry to eat. Potato salad was delicious. Coconut cake is very yummy. Prices and customer service was great. Bathroom is outside. Kinda freaks me out to hold the key after washing my hands. Decor is almost aggressively religious. Cheap, fast, average food.

From the moment the apple fritters and apple butter hit the table, we knew we were in for something special, they really set the tone for what turned out to be a great meal. Everything was served family-style, which only added to the comfort and experience. It was our first time, and we were genuinely surprised by how much we enjoyed the food across the board. Her tone, attitude, and the way she spoke to me made me feel uncomfortable the entire time. It felt like we were a burden just for being there. I ended up completely losing my appetite because of how mean and cold Marsha was, and I actually left the table crying over it. (I work in healthcare so I have thick skin). Going out to eat is supposed to be enjoyable, not something that leaves you feeling embarrassed and humiliated. I understand everyone can have bad days, but there's no reason to treat customers with that level of disrespect. I was asking a simple question of getting an order to go and about the lunch. I really hope management takes customer service more seriously because no one should leave a restaurant crying and feeling the way I did.

The beautiful fresh produce complimented the expertly cooked and seasoned proteins. There wasn't a single thing we ate that we didn't enjoy. In between meals, we made sure to stay active to earn our appetite. The property offers access to great trails in the Smokies which we took advantage of as well as a lovely outdoor pool with a view. The room itself was pleasant as well. It was hard to leave the luxurious king bed every morning. The heated floors in the bathroom and the comfy sitting area made our Holly Springs cottage suite the perfect home base. We were also assigned our own golf cart to get around the property (although we chose to walk mostly to take in the views). Service was top notch and the staff were wonderful. Every evening they surprised us with a little treat for our anniversary which was very thoughtful. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

The wait is worth it if you get there before 8 am. The omelettes had a lot of filling and were very good. The buckwheat pancake while thin had a really nice texture. The pot roast eggs Benedict was good but the biscuit is so thick and soft and the meat is soft that it would be better with an English muffin for a texture factor. People are frustrating--especially on vacation. But, if you are irritated, do not assume that you won't be understood. I speak 3 languages well and understand more. The wait was awful, but to be expected. And our waitress was helpful and friendly--though not super attentive. She was busy, though, not lazy. The food was decent. Not earth shattering. Bottom line...if you want BIG food. And you have 1.5 hours to wait for food...it is a great tourist spot. The biscuits were light and fluffy. The cinnamon roll bread is well done...but the flavor was tame and the glaze was not good. My son loved the Aretha Frankenstein pancakes. However, if you want good food, there has to be a better spot.
