I was told the lifeguards vacuum the pool. Well, they do a terrible job, need training and a supervisor should be checking their work. Also, parents should be putting waterproof bandaids on their kids so they don't fall off. If a kid has a bad wound , they should not go in pool. The pool lifeguards do an excellent job of monitoring the safety of the members in the water. The pool needs to hire a maintenance attendant who can straighten up chairs, pick up garbage, enforce aquatic center rules , clean up snack area, etc

Viola helps me keep my water perfectly balanced and crystal clear. Even though they charge more for chemicals than you can get on the internet, you will actually spend less money because they will keep the water balanced better so you buy less chemicals. I recommend having your water tested weekly for best results. Mark is an expert in all things pool related. He recommends the best fix not the most profitable. He has never steered me wrong. He is detail oriented and runs his business with pride.

However, over time, I feel the facility has gradually lost some of its "premium" feel due to a number of recurring operational issues. There appear to be several systemic problems that impact the overall member experience: Studio and Class Technology Frequent issues with audio equipment in class studios. Microphones often do not work or batteries are not charged. Classes are routinely delayed due to technical problems, which is frustrating during a 45-minute session. Locker Room Maintenance Inconsistent availability of hand towels. Non-working TVs. Only one functioning hair dryer. A general lack of attention to detail that affects the experience. Towel Service One of the most noticeable changes has been the reduction in towel availability during workouts. In the past, towels were consistently stocked and accessible throughout workouts. That service level contributed significantly to the premium experience and convenience. Trainer Support The trainers themselves are strong and professional, but they seem to lack adequate support from management, particularly regarding equipment reliability and coverage when someone is out. As a long-time member, I share this feedback because I'd like to see the HealthPlex return to the level of operational excellence that originally set it apart. Many of these issues seem solvable with stronger oversight, maintenance consistency, and attention to detail.

My experience at Goldfish Swim School in Plainfield was extremely disappointing and racially…read moreinsensitive. After my daughter's swim class 6/26 the manager, Michael, approached me on the pool deck in front of other families & children to accuse her of being "mean" to another child and allegedly using a curse word -- based solely on another child's word, without any investigation or proper handling. My daughter was and IS the only Black child in the class, and it felt clear that she was singled out and blamed without consideration for her side. I asked my daughter on the pool deck, and in the changing room what happened. She is 6 years old and a complete sweet heart who's mean to no one. She let me know that she did not say a bad word and that she only told the girl her and her board were to close to her and to move. Fine. After that we went into Michael's office to speak to him again before leaving because I wanted a better understanding of the situation. Michael tells me the same thing again that my daughter said a bad word and it seems like it was the "A" word and the girl "didn't want to repeat it" to really let us know what that word is, mind you on the pool deck he said she said a bad word but in his office it was she said the A word. he then goes on to say that the girl said my daughter said she was to close and said to move which my daughter said she did say. Later, Michael even admitted that the kids were too close to one another and were all frustrated -- yet mine was the only child held accountable. The way this was handled was completely unprofessional, dismissive, and racially biased. There was no investigation done whatsoever just blame the only black kid in class because that makes sense to do. If your child is a minority, I strongly urge you to be cautious about sending them here. They deserve to feel safe and respected -- not unfairly targeted or humiliated in public.
