Great facility. The pool is top notch but busy and all of the equipment is newer and well maintained.

After my daughter's swim class 6/26 the manager, Michael, approached me on the pool deck in front of other families & children to accuse her of being "mean" to another child and allegedly using a curse word -- based solely on another child's word, without any investigation or proper handling. My daughter was and IS the only Black child in the class, and it felt clear that she was singled out and blamed without consideration for her side. I asked my daughter on the pool deck, and in the changing room what happened. She is 6 years old and a complete sweet heart who's mean to no one. She let me know that she did not say a bad word and that she only told the girl her and her board were to close to her and to move. Fine. After that we went into Michael's office to speak to him again before leaving because I wanted a better understanding of the situation. Michael tells me the same thing again that my daughter said a bad word and it seems like it was the "A" word and the girl "didn't want to repeat it" to really let us know what that word is, mind you on the pool deck he said she said a bad word but in his office it was she said the A word. he then goes on to say that the girl said my daughter said she was to close and said to move which my daughter said she did say. Later, Michael even admitted that the kids were too close to one another and were all frustrated -- yet mine was the only child held accountable. The way this was handled was completely unprofessional, dismissive, and racially biased. There was no investigation done whatsoever just blame the only black kid in class because that makes sense to do. If your child is a minority, I strongly urge you to be cautious about sending them here. They deserve to feel safe and respected -- not unfairly targeted or humiliated in public.

My son (3 years old) LOVES going to his swimming class and enjoys the fact that he has advanced so much. It is very easy to change a class and customer service is very nice. The whole environment is for the child. We like the coloring sheets, tattoos and figures that are available for the students; toys, blackboard... There is just two things that would make this place a 5 stars: -The changing rooms have a mold like smell from people being wet and changing of course. The problem is that the rooms should be dried completely to avoid this. -The safe guards/helpers can get distracted talking to each other, and sometimes have missed little accidents (that could become huge) while the teacher is instructing another child. I have seen it with others and it happened to us directly. This can get resolved by them being more focused/involved. Although this is a business, we always feel welcomed by the staff, we feel like family. When we go in, we feel warm: the air, the water, the people.... Thank you. I updated this review to 5 stars. I believe there has been an improvement to the suggestions previously made. Thank you again.

The atmosphere is good and the staff is nice but our son made no progress. He struggled to separate and there was no guidance on what to do or attempts to assist weren't initiated until more than half of the session was over. In his brief time in junior 1, all our kid did was throw things in the water, shimmy the wall, and splash at the instructor. There was one day we had an elmhurst sub and that's when we saw our kid actually practicing kicking and back floating.. so we left shortly after that to go to the elmhurst location.

I've seen them work with many kids who were scared to be separated from their parents or who were scared to jump into the pool from the pool deck, and they've been able to get the kids to overcome their fears every time (even though it sometimes take a few weeks' worth of lessons). Facilities are excellent, especially the warm water pool. My son is almost 4 and has been going here since he was 6 months, and he loves coming here. The higher price is justified by the higher quality.

The coaches are certified, knowledgeable and very patient with the children. I love that they are able to explain to me what steps they are teaching and why it is important. My boys talk about the different coaches they have had, and it's obvious they feel very comfortable with them. Two big selling points for us are that the water is kept at 92 degrees and that there are only 4 kids per class. These two things allow my kids to be comfortable and get lots of time to practice the skills they are learning. The program also has a strong safety first learning enviroment. Of course, as a mom, I am thrilled by this teaching style. I love that my children can tell me how to be safe around water and that these safety "rules" translate to other swimming activities that we do as a family. Iddy Biddy Pool School offers free prenatal and free 3-8 month swimming classes, which are amazing! The prenatal classes were so helpful for the aches and pains of pregnancy, and I love referring doula & childbirth education clients to take this class! The baby classes are so effective at getting a young baby comfortable being in the water. All three of my boys love the water, and I greatly attribute this to being in swimming classes as a baby and continuing with lessons at IBPS. This program has become very popular in our community so classes fill up quickly. When you have multiple children in different levels it can get more difficult to coordinate schedules. My children absolutely love coming to swimming each week. I cannot recommend Iddy Biddy Pool School highly enough! Your family will love it!

When we first started swim lessons, my kiddo was terrified of the water. I honestly wasn't sure how it would go. But thanks to the incredibly patient, kind, and skilled instructors, not only is my child no longer scared--they are absolutely thriving. What makes this place truly special is the family atmosphere. Everyone knows my kiddo by name, cheers them on, and makes them feel like they belong. It's not just swim lessons--it's a community that genuinely cares. We've gone from tears at the pool's edge to being asked daily if it's "swimming day" yet. I can't thank this team enough for helping my child grow in confidence and fall in love with swimming!

First of all why do you need a worker to press a button to get you into the bathroom at the main entrance? What do you expect me to do? Pee on the floor? In addition, your water has way too much chlorine in it. This is a major saftey concern, as too much chlorine can make you sick. Some other people and I started coughing uncontrollably because of it. I also wanted to ensure she's a strong swimmer as early as possible, because let's face it, accidents happen and kids do fall into pools, no matter how careful you are. My daughter has officially successfully completed Backfloat Baby 1 and started Backfloat Baby 2 about two weeks ago. We were SO SO lucky to have Christine for our first instructor, and I really hope we are able to have her again for a future class. She put my anxiety at ease, and handled my daughter so well (can you imagine how hard it is to get a 6 month old who loves to lick pool water to actually close her mouth long enough to be submerged under water for 4 seconds?!) I've also seen her with some of the more rambunctious older kids, and she has the patience of an angel. I really hope my daughter comes to trust our new instructor as much as she did Christine so that we can have a successful Backfloat Baby 2 class and continue on our swim journey. All of the employees here are so sweet, and I'm so glad that we chose FOSS for our daughter.
