    Cookie bag from the market
    Annabelle R.

Visited Vista Collina for a family get-together after an invitation from my brother. I came not knowing what to expect, and ended up having a great time. The huge outdoor space was perfect for an awesome and chill family outing and picnic. Lots of shaded seating, picnic tables and umbrellas (as well as seating with firepits), right in the middle of the Village... classy yet casual. The large grassy area had plenty of cornhole boards and bean bags as well as other games to keep the kids entertained, and tons of space to run around.  Options for food include The Village food truck with items such and corn dogs and fries, sliced watermelon, and salad ($23 for a caesar salad). There's also a food market (Fivetown Grocery) with hot and cold menu items including sandwiches, breakfast burritos, cheese, chips, giant cookies, and alcoholic beverages. The prices for food are a bit steep, but worth being able to enjoy the beautiful outdoor space at this resort for free, without a reservation and without being a hotel guest. It was the perfect setting for a fun time with loved ones on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded at all during my visit. There is plenty of parking at this resort/hotel. And right across is the Meritage Resort and Spa, which apparently gives great massages (according to my family who has experienced it).

Tv's and mini fridge inside each cabana

I have been trying to find all the ways of utilizing working remote and decided to come here for a workation. I saw a Facebook ad for day passes and looked into it. We decided on the cabana day pass which was $300 (recently I saw it now listed for $400) and includes access to the pool and hot tub, a tv in your cabana, 1 complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, bottle waters, chairs and pool lounge chairs. However we were only given 2 lounge chairs for our group of 3. The cabana's have cloth coverings you can keep open or close for some privacy. It's all fun and games until the wind kicks in lol. The price of the cabana does not include food. The food bar also has limited hours and so we had to purchase our lunch from the market nestled inside the resort. It's not that far of a walk but I recommend not walking over in your bathing suit. This place was very relaxing. I'd probably come back on another day pass for sure.

This review is only for the holiday festivities going on at the hotel. Such pretty and festive decor for the holidays! The large tree is so grand and there was a very nice Santa taking pictures with no line! There are 3 cute igloos (although I could not figure out how to make reservations) as well as fire pits to rent. We ended up booking our ice skating tickets literally 15 minutes before the session which you do online. It was pretty crowded and they don't really have check in check out. The skate session is 25/per person and for 90 mins although we only lasted maybe 40 mins. There is a food truck, mini holiday market, and also hot chocolate and adult beverages available for purchase. Recommend for kids of all ages! If you can make it on a weekday it might not be so crowded!

Wow !! Our stay was excellent Francesca checked us in she was extremely pleasant and informative! As soon as we walked in they had complimentary glasses of champagne for all of their guest. Valet is free and you can come and go as you please but there is plenty of self parking spaces on the property as well. We stayed in one of there many Suites, It had a fully stocked kitchen plates, cups, coffee maker, blender, pots, pans utensils. Even the fridge was pre stocked with cold waters and ice and complimentary bottle of wine. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of it in the morning! We had two connected balconies, with two separate entrances one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The bathroom had a separate bathing tub, a shower and was nicely separated from the toilet. Also there was a beautiful vanity to apply makeup and two separate sinks! This suite was absolutely beautiful with stunning views! The staff were all so friendly they even brought us cold water and chocolates in the evening. This hotel was extremely clean, everyone working was friendly and the entire experience was so special, I will definitely be staying here anytime I visit Napa in the future !

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and have never been charged for a late check out at an hour or so out. I've stayed here at least 4 times in the past 8 months because it has great amenities onsite BUT during this stay, service was horrible. It would take at least 3 to 4 calls to the front desk or dining room area until someone finally picks up the phone. I tried to order room service last night and called 5 times before someone picked up. When they did, they said the item I wanted to order wasn't available or not offered anymore. The lady I spoke to couldn't get her story straight. To ask for an extra hour later for check out, they will charge you $25. For 2 hours, they will charge you $50. Don't stay here. They nickel and dime you for everything and they don't pick up their phones once you are a guest. I can't wait to check out today.

UPDATE My now wife and I stayed here for my birthday weekend and it is just as great as it was the first time. Room was clean and had a nice view. Staff was friendly and helpful with all questions we had. This has definitely become our go-to spot whenever we plan a weekend away in wine country. We love the wine tastings on location and the restaurants they have. Such great food and wine in a beautiful resort. Nothing can top this place.

If I could buy a timeshare at this place, I would. If I had enough money to stay here every weekend, I would. I can't believe I'm writing a review for this place because I honestly don't want to share it with anyone out of my own selfish reasons (because I love this place so fricken much, I don't want it to get overly crowded) but I'm doing this out of the goodness of my own heart (even though it's breaking) because this place deserves it. I've stayed here about three times within the past two years. The first time I came was with my girls for a girls little mini getaway. Second time was with my immediate family. Third time was with my boyfriend. Rooms are amazing. I'm such a germaphobe, I re-sanitize all hotels I stay in and bring a sheet to cover all beds I sleepy on (told ya I was a germaphobe) but not this one! Cleanliness is Grade A here. On top of their rooms being super clean, decorations and furniture are well kept and maintained. Let's talk about the grounds-- can't decide if the pool or lawn area is my favorite, either way both settings are pretty epic. I frequent Napa often to go to the wineries but when I stay at Vista Colina -- I pretty much spend the whole weekend there without visiting wineries because I love the place so much. Such a good place to relax and chill. Also love that Spa Terra is right across the street. Staff are super friendly and welcoming! Kyli at the front desk helped me all three times, she doesn't remember me (but I definitely remember her!) SHOUT OUT TO KYLI! Two out of the three times she offered me Prosecco as she helped me check in, then gave me more when I came back to ask a question! She was super accommodating to all my last minute requests the most recent time I visited. She also never made me feel like I was being a burden even though I felt like I was! She's super friendly and makes you feel welcomed. I'm so glad my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday here on our girls trip.. or else I'd never knew this place existed. My girls love this place, my family loves this place, and my boyfriend loves this place. Safe to say, I really love this place too. As me and my girls say, "VISTA COLLINAAA FORVEEREE"

I visited this pool with with my friends, It's a very nice pool, Kinda on the small side and it's only 3 1/2 feet deep everywhere, which is a little silly that should have a deeper end if you really want to soak and not be waist high, but they have a lots of steps that you can sit on and chill and be under the water, they also have a great food delivery and a bar and the servers are all very friendly, you're not allowed to bring a cooler in though. Pool temperature is great and there's a great sports bar across the street called the crush, I would recommend going there after a day of swimming.

We stayed one night here for a much needed break and can't say enough. You have everything you need in one stop! There are 9 tasting rooms, a great pool area, a quaint little store, food truck, restaurant, and room service! Why go anywhere else?! We had a delicious meal from the food truck. My husband and I shared an order of pickle fries and fish tacos. The pickle fries were killer!! We ate in the courtyard under the umbrellas. Felt so nice to be out and about! The room was huge, very clean, and had everything we could ask for. Even a huge soaking tub, which was a highlight for me! The staff was amazing and able to answer all questions and made every effort to make you feel at home! If you are looking for the perfect getaway, this is definitely the spot for you!

I stayed here for the weekend of my wedding to get ready and it was a very pretty suite and rooms! It's right across from the meritage and the property is so scenic and beautiful! We booked two suites to get ready in and several regular rooms for our family. Everyone loved and raved about their rooms and said it was one of the best rooms they stayed in! The suite was large and spacious and had enough room for everyone to get their hair and makeup done and to change and use the bathroom! The best part of the suites are the kitchens, it's a full kitchen with a fridge, cooktop and dishwasher . They provide glasses, dishes, utensils, pots, pans and cleaning supplies if you happen to use anything! The bathroom was super large with a soaking tub and plenty of space to do makeup. I really loved this room and wished I had stayed an extra day to make use of the whole suite!

Absolutely horrible. If i could give it negative stars i would. We've been here since monday and theres still room service food at our front door thats starting to smell, which has been here sinve before we checked in. Told the front desk and nothing happened. Tried to get a hold of room service and waited on hold for 20 minutes then hung u because i was sick of waiting. This happened two nights i a row. Fire alarms went off twice today. No fresh towels the entire 4 days weve been here. This place has gone down hill and i don't recommend anyone coming here that wants any type of service.

I want to give this place 2.5 stars due to the fact they mischarged our rooms. I like the place but to charge someone for 2 rooms when only 1 was clearly given (room keys as evidence no signatures for acknowledging other room) dampened the experience here. In addition to the inconvenience of time, it takes 3 to 5 business for the money to go back on the card. Not cool at all. To be fair - overall nice place. Great venue for weddings or for planning a spa or wine tasting day. I like that they give you a bottle of wine a day for each day you stay at. Too bad you need to ask for it! Location is great. They have a brewery on site, 9 wineries, a little market, couple restaurants, the spa, pools, bar area and Crush lounge near by where they have a pool table and bowling. As you see lots to do if you stay here. Rooms were nice. Meritage hotel is right across the way where the spa is.

This is our view from our room!

Stayed at the Grand Reserve to celebrate our 30th anniversary. Gave us room 6362. One of the best rooms with a gorgeous view! Gina, the concierge, decorated our room so beautifully...made us feel so special! Price is very reasonable. Would highly recommend staying here!

Stained pillow case. We ended up with two pillow cases they had stains like this.

We did have a few pretty serious negatives to our experience tho . The day we pulled in, tired from a long road trip, it was pouring rain and we could not even find the front door. We walked all around the plaza containing their other businesses- coffee shop/restaurant etc and nearly gave up after walking all the way around the entire building. Once we found the front door , which is located on the Main Street the valet service ( which is required unless you want to park 3 blocks away ! ) was not very welcoming. We had lots of luggage and in the pouring rain we struggled to get our bags onto the cart, they did not help us at all. The guest services man Jorge was great and friendly and even upgraded us to a nicer room for our troubles. Once in the room we tried to hook up our Amazon fire stick to watch t.v. But the tv was flush against the wall and we could not reach the HDMI port. We called downstairs and they said they would send someone up to help. Half an hour went by and no one came so I called downstairs again , at which time i was told "our t.v.'s do not accommodate that' . That is a total lie , any tv with an HDMI port can be used with a fire stick, we guessed they were just too lazy/ busy to come up. The tv was very large , but was not even a smart tv . What the heck ???? Even a basic motel has a smart tv. We went down to the lobby bar to have some drinks and a snack . The hostess in the restaurant said we could sit anywhere in the lobby and someone would help us. We waiting for 20 minutes and no one even acknowledged us so we left . Other people had food and drinks so I don't know what that was about ..... We decided to just eat dinner on the rooftop and be done with this experience. The hostess was very uninspiring about her job and seated us. The dinner service was decent , it was pouring rain and we got a bit drizzled on between the louvres of the rooftop awning but overall dinner was ok. Due to the "snobby feel" of most of the staff and the lack of t.v. Options i would probably not stay here again. It's a shame because it was a nice location.

I recommend the reader staying elsewhere if you have any valuable items. My story below. We stayed at the Archer Hotel Napa mid December 2025. When departing the property, I left my Stetson cowboy hat in the room ($1K+). Realizing this the next day, I contacted the Archer Hotel who informed me that nothing was reported yet (with a promise for a follow up notice). After 3 weeks of silence, I reached out again and was told that staff had not found the hat in the room. I must point out that the hat was packed in a special-purpose large box; given the size, special packing, value, and nature of the item, it is inconceivable that it would have been discarded as trash. Evidently, it was stolen. I then escalated this issue to management who mostly ignored my requests (I can share various emails for those who care). I did learn that there is security footage but access or review of it was denied (and one would wonder why that was not done in December following my first call?). This makes it evident that management (GM Michael Pace and Director of Operations Patricia Wilson) prefer to turn a blind eye and as such indirectly approves of staff holding on to left-behind items of value. Again: this is theft. I am now left with filing a report with the Napa Police Department.

Bathtub inside is broken and can't use to take a bath and looks like it's been broken for a while. We were greeted warmly upon checkin and thanks to Hilton diamond, we were upgraded to a nicer cottage. The person checking us in enthusiastically described the bryte balance beds in these upgrades rooms that allow personalized settings. However when we got to the room, we couldn't find the instructions to adjust the bed. Long story short, there was a lot of back and forth and conflicting communication from different staff members. For some reason our upgraded room did not have the updated beds- still not clear to me why since the website advertises these upgraded beds in our room type. In any case, the staff was nice to offer a consolation bottle of wine, which unfortunately we did not drink as we were celebrating our baby moon. The property itself is beautiful and two pool areas that includes a separate heater pool and a hot tub. It was quite empty when we were there. The common area near the restaurant had a lot of fire pits for enjoying. The room was nice , very spacious with heated floors and an expansive private patio with outdoor tub and outdoor shower along with outdoor fireplace. Requesting service was hit or miss. We tried texting as instructed which took ~30 min to respond. When trying to call, at times, phone would ring without anyone picking up. We requested additional water and matches for outdoor fireplace several times, but neither of these ever arrived so we gave up. As Hilton Diamond members, breakfast was included. However it didn't seem like a special benefit since it seems like breakfast is included for many who book direct. For a pricey luxury resort, I thought breakfast was a bit lacking - with only 1 hot option (quiche). The rest were fruit, cheese and charcuterie and bread/bagel. A la Carte items could be ordered for a fee and anything more than black coffee (eg cappuccino) would be extra. This is better than the $15/p credit at other Hilton properties but given that this is a SLH and a high end luxury resort, I guess I expected breakfast to be a bit more substantial. Given that this was a free night award, I wasn't too disappointed, but if I stayed here with the cash rate, I think my rating would drop to 3-3.5.

She had never been there, and I wanted to surprise her, so she had no idea where we're going. It turned out to be one of the best decisions that I have made since my children have left the nest. The hotel upon entering is very inviting. The staff is incredibly friendly. And the ambience is unbelievable what you would expect of a five-star hotel in LA yet with the charm of a small-town feel. So let me begin with our inception. Upon walking in, we were greeted and given water and asked if we would like to upgrade our room. The room upgrade offered a patio with a propane fireplace and chairs for only $50 extra a night, we gladly said yes. Every evening, we were given a voucher for drinks, 2 drinks per person, alcoholic that is. Each morning, we had free breakfast. You had a choice of an egg McMuffin-style sandwich, a chorizo burrito, or an egg potato and cheese burrito. The egg cheese and potato burrito is the way to go. It is so big I could have cut it into three parts and eaten it for lunch breakfast and dinner. They have a small store inside of the restaurant which you purchase what you want, and you scan it yourself, that was kind of nice. There was a pool and jacuzzi, and we went in the jacuzzi the very first night since there was no one there yet, but as it got closer to Thanksgiving more families came in. I will have to say this is the first time that we haven't had children with us, because both of our children are out of the nest in college. So, this is the first Thanksgiving dinner we had NOT at home. But I must admit, it was fantastic-yet bittersweet We had turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, potatoes and gravy and we had ube pie. For those of you that don't know what ube pie is, it's a Filipino purple sweet potato. When I saw that on the menu, even though I'm not Filipino, I knew I had to have a pie at least. We got the whole meal, it was fantastic the turkey was succulent mashed potatoes and gravy were awesome I don't like stuffing, but my wife ate my stuffing, and we had asparagus as well if I remember correctly. I had spoken to the front-end manager, I believe, or the beverage manager and she is Pinay, so this is why, I assume, they had the ube pie instead of pumpkin pie, but it was amazing. Even if it's not Thanksgiving, ask if they have ube pie. It's very convenient because it is right next to the freeway so you can travel up north and take ancillary streets to go up to where all the wineries are at. We didn't take a winery tour, because we're not viticulturists, but if you are, it's a fantastic place to go.

Me and my wife love the design and attention to details that works with the wine and Napa valley vibe. Refer to photos. So why not 5 stars? Has to do with breakfast and made to order omelets that Embassy suites is known for. They have a box to go pick up breakfast in the lobby/bar area with one gentleman controlling the hot meal which is either a sausage egg muffin, a chorizo burrito or a egg, bacon and potato burrito. Seeing people sitting in the lobby with their breakfast box looks uncomfortable and tacky. Otherwise, look forward to staying here in my future visit to wine country

I will say first, from what I saw of the hotel, it is nicely appointed and has great staff. I would consider coming back just to stay. Our lunch was also pretty nice. The service was rather slow, especially since we were one of two occupied tables for most of the time we were there (mid-week), but the food was very good and fresh/healthy feeling. Now, on to the spa. I chose the 80 min peptide lifting facial for $395. First of all, $395 is a price you might pay for a full service spa. This is not that. There is a tiny locker room with a closet sized sauna in it that could fit one or two people. There is one shower and a sink to clean up in. No other facilities. Second of all, the facial was nothing special to cost that much. I have better facials at home at my local salon, and usually pay less than $100. At the end of the facial the esthetician, who had just spent the last 75 mins cleaning all the gunk off my face and out of my pores, then proceeded to put a nasty tinted moisturizer all over my face! I asked her about it at the time, told her that I do not wear makeup of any kind, and even told her I was concerned about it getting on the collar of my light grey sweater. She just slathered it on. Told me if I didn't like it I could use a tissue to wipe it off! When I went to get dressed after my service I looked in the mirror and saw that I did in fact look like a tangerine. Thankfully I had some cleaning wipes in my bag, and was able to get it all off. So I basically wiped off $395 of facial in two minutes with a cheap drug store towelette. Great. So, basically, stay at the hotel or maybe trying out the restaurant, but avoid the spa!

When we arrived (early) our room was ready, SCORE, and we were greeted with Mumm Brut. Such a treat. Nick and Raymond were so helpful during our check in. Raymond remembered us from last year and that made the experience so much more personal. Also a shout out to the valet/bell hop staff. They are so fast, friendly, and helpful! Really appreciate them! The room was awesome! We had steam shower and an outdoor shower which was an upgrade from our room from last year. The fridge is stocked with water and Boylan cola if you need a pick me up. Love the spacious patio and his and her sinks. We spent the first day at the pool, which was very quiet and relaxing. The pool bar was closed but not an issue because you can just call the bar and they will bring you whatever you need. Also LOVE the pool top views. The grounds of this hotel are so serene, with art installations! Unfortunately, our precious Toby (fur baby) had a medical situation there and our stay was cut short. We had 3 nights planned and only got to stay 1. I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Raymond, the front office manager. You made our decision to leave an no brainer and we didn't have any stress about not staying the other 2 nights. We will forever be loyal to Bardessono, due to the love and care that was showed to us by you that morning while we were in distress. Also thank you to the staff who was there on the night shift for parking our car when we returned from the emergency vet at 3:30 AM. While we were sad to leave we most definitely are looking forward to the next time we come back.

No seasoning on the meat, vegetarian ravioli had 3-4 raviolis in tomato water. Food could definitely use salt. There were so many nearly full plates going back to the kitchen! Whoever makes the desserts and pastries bravo every dessert I tried was great. Drinks were great, solid selection of beer. If I had just gone for the event and gone home this would be a 1/2 star review. The Bar in the main building was very nice and service was impeccable, and the entry way fire place makes for a great entrance. The Rooms were really nice, clean and really quiet. The service from pretty much every person seemed like they were eager to help and very friendly. The quality of the room and service from staff saved The Meritage from the awful, mass produced and unseasoned banquet food I was served. I would've liked to explore more, Maybe try an actual restaurant here but I was here for just one night and had to hit the road. It's a beautiful resort with an exceptional staff so I can at least recommend that much.

Only we were left waiting. We waited for 1.5 hours and just stepped out. We got a message at 5:45pm that our room was ready, came back and checked into the room. Turn on TV and sign into Youtube, it freezes. Olive and Hay is so busy as an external restaurant, we didn't get a seat, guests are not prioritized. Neither is there room service from Olive and Hay. We couldn't sit down and have breakfast, we had to go elsewhere. Checkout is prompt, not given any additional time, because they had get the cleaning done. If thats the case, why didn't we get the room at 4? It just ruined our evening and trip to Napa.

FRAUD ALERT…read more Boyfriend & I came here on January 31st. We got massages which we paid the gratuity for that very day since we were charged right away. As of yesterday 2/27 I've been charged $86 by "The Inn on First" which I noticed immediately as either a mistake or fraud. I called them & front desk receptionist seemed very confused & even apologetic because of the fact I was there one month ago & not yesterday! I told her I would like to be refunded & she of course had to get the owner involved, understandably. The owner, Celia, calls me & already had a defensive rude tone to her voice which was confusing because of the situation. She claims that I had not been charged for the gratuity from the massages & that they had just now caught it & were charging me now. I told her that I know for a fact we had already paid for the gratuity based on the amount charged to my card which was the total cost of the massages including the gratuity. She argued stating my numbers were not accurate & that they again will be keeping my $86. I told her this is fraud & she knows it. & I will be putting a review on Yelp regarding this. She then changed up & said if I have an issue with the gratuity charge that I'll have to take it up with the massage employees as if they were a separate entity- which they may be but again, my credit card statement shows that it's "The Inn On First" that is charging me this $86 I responded to Celia by reminding her that this is HER BUSINESS & that she should be the one to resolve this! She responded by basically stating it's not her problem. Absolute fraud! We were intending on coming back and to this place soon but they lost our business & I'll be disputing this charge with my credit card company. CELIA YOU NEED BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE SKILLS. Interestingly enough this apparently happens to people every so often here which leads me to believe we were targeted by her!

Yogurt and granola. All before the menu comes out with a custom made hot breakfast. My wife got avocado toast and I got an omelette. Both came with house made potatoes and mine had an option for a variety of toasts to choose from. All delicious and a great way to start the day. Really grateful to have found this place and already thinking about when we could go back. Also, perhaps most important, it's walkable to just about everything downtown, including the oxbow market and all the restaurants and shops in between, of which there are many.
