I booked a room for this weekend to see the Napa Jazz festival. Two nights cost almost $4000 as it was a room overlooking the stage. This would've been my my third trip to the hotel. I'm familiar with the layout. I get there and they don't have my room. They have a standard room on the other side of the hotel but that's not what I paid for. Then they tell me the room was booked through booking.com. It wasn't. If you call the hotel you're not really calling the hotel . You're calling a third-party service that they use for Reservations. I asked to speak with management and management did nothing for me. Now I'm fighting to get $4000 back. Attitude of management and ownership is horrible. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Napa is filled with beautiful Hotels & Resorts. I'd suggest Auberge de Solil or Silverado. Both still know how to treat customers. read more

Disappointed... kind of worse than a basic Hampton inn. The shower was cold. Even when they switched rooms, the showers were still cold. Even if it was 30% of the price we paid, I'd still be a little irritated. For paying over $600 a night, this was disappointing I had to correct my review from a 2 star to a 1 star. The fridge was beeping at us all night and keeping us up. I can't believe this hotel is worse than an extended stay!! Having a place to sleep in peace is the least a room can do. read more

I wanted to like this place more but there were a few things that were kinda crappy considering the price you pay. Location: the Grand Reserve is located across the street from the regular Meritage hotel. There's also another hotel (Vino Bello) adjacent to Meritage. The hotel is in southern Napa and getting on the 12/29 highway to head north is a bit of a nuisance due to the traffic you will likely encounter. It looks like they're doing some heavy construction on the roads to hopefully improve this, but I'm sure it'll be years before it's complete. Parking: valet and self parking is included with your hotel/resort fee. I generally don't like to valet so I self-parked. Unfortunately, the parking lot was not convenient to walk to from my hotel room. Room: clean and spacious. More spacious than I'm used to. There was a proper wine fridge in the room. Your $45 resort fee gets you a bottle of wine from Trinitas (the winery that has a tasting room on site) and unlimited boxed water. And of course there's a coffee maker, but who drinks from those unsanitary machines? Service: this was the unfortunate thing. We had a problem with our TV. The remote control (which had functioning batteries) would not turn it on. Also, there were no physical buttons on the TV anywhere, so I had to call the front desk for assistance. After over a half hour, no one had shown up so I called the front desk again. No one picked up. After calling several more times over the next 10 minutes, someone called back. After I let them know that we'd been waiting a while, they said they'd put a rush on it. 10 min or so later, the engineer guy comes and turns the TV on somehow then leaves. The next morning we had the same problem. But we decided to not bother trying to get it fixed based on our experience the prior evening. So. In short, the service is lacking esp considering how much you pay. And self parking is a nuisance. read more

Visited Vista Collina for a family get-together after an invitation from my brother. I came not knowing what to expect, and ended up having a great time. The huge outdoor space was perfect for an awesome and chill family outing and picnic. Lots of shaded seating, picnic tables and umbrellas (as well as seating with firepits), right in the middle of the Village... classy yet casual. The large grassy area had plenty of cornhole boards and bean bags as well as other games to keep the kids entertained, and tons of space to run around.  Options for food include The Village food truck with items such and corn dogs and fries, sliced watermelon, and salad ($23 for a caesar salad). There's also a food market (Fivetown Grocery) with hot and cold menu items including sandwiches, breakfast burritos, cheese, chips, giant cookies, and alcoholic beverages. The prices for food are a bit steep, but worth being able to enjoy the beautiful outdoor space at this resort for free, without a reservation and without being a hotel guest. It was the perfect setting for a fun time with loved ones on a sunny Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't crowded at all during my visit. There is plenty of parking at this resort/hotel. And right across is the Meritage Resort and Spa, which apparently gives great massages (according to my family who has experienced it). read more

I have been trying to find all the ways of utilizing working remote and decided to come here for a workation. I saw a Facebook ad for day passes and looked into it. We decided on the cabana day pass which was $300 (recently I saw it now listed for $400) and includes access to the pool and hot tub, a tv in your cabana, 1 complimentary bottle of sparkling wine, bottle waters, chairs and pool lounge chairs. However we were only given 2 lounge chairs for our group of 3. The cabana's have cloth coverings you can keep open or close for some privacy. It's all fun and games until the wind kicks in lol. The price of the cabana does not include food. The food bar also has limited hours and so we had to purchase our lunch from the market nestled inside the resort. It's not that far of a walk but I recommend not walking over in your bathing suit. This place was very relaxing. I'd probably come back on another day pass for sure. read more

This review is only for the holiday festivities going on at the hotel. Such pretty and festive decor for the holidays! The large tree is so grand and there was a very nice Santa taking pictures with no line! There are 3 cute igloos (although I could not figure out how to make reservations) as well as fire pits to rent. We ended up booking our ice skating tickets literally 15 minutes before the session which you do online. It was pretty crowded and they don't really have check in check out. The skate session is 25/per person and for 90 mins although we only lasted maybe 40 mins. There is a food truck, mini holiday market, and also hot chocolate and adult beverages available for purchase. Recommend for kids of all ages! If you can make it on a weekday it might not be so crowded! read more

Wow !! Our stay was excellent Francesca checked us in she was extremely pleasant and informative! As soon as we walked in they had complimentary glasses of champagne for all of their guest. Valet is free and you can come and go as you please but there is plenty of self parking spaces on the property as well. We stayed in one of there many Suites, It had a fully stocked kitchen plates, cups, coffee maker, blender, pots, pans utensils. Even the fridge was pre stocked with cold waters and ice and complimentary bottle of wine. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of it in the morning! We had two connected balconies, with two separate entrances one in the living room and one in the bedroom. The bathroom had a separate bathing tub, a shower and was nicely separated from the toilet. Also there was a beautiful vanity to apply makeup and two separate sinks! This suite was absolutely beautiful with stunning views! The staff were all so friendly they even brought us cold water and chocolates in the evening. This hotel was extremely clean, everyone working was friendly and the entire experience was so special, I will definitely be staying here anytime I visit Napa in the future ! read more

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and have never been charged for a late check out at an hour or so out. I've stayed here at least 4 times in the past 8 months because it has great amenities onsite BUT during this stay, service was horrible. It would take at least 3 to 4 calls to the front desk or dining room area until someone finally picks up the phone. I tried to order room service last night and called 5 times before someone picked up. When they did, they said the item I wanted to order wasn't available or not offered anymore. The lady I spoke to couldn't get her story straight. To ask for an extra hour later for check out, they will charge you $25. For 2 hours, they will charge you $50. Don't stay here. They nickel and dime you for everything and they don't pick up their phones once you are a guest. I can't wait to check out today. read more

UPDATE My now wife and I stayed here for my birthday weekend and it is just as great as it was the first time. Room was clean and had a nice view. Staff was friendly and helpful with all questions we had. This has definitely become our go-to spot whenever we plan a weekend away in wine country. If I could buy a timeshare at this place, I would. If I had enough money to stay here every weekend, I would. I can't believe I'm writing a review for this place because I honestly don't want to share it with anyone out of my own selfish reasons (because I love this place so fricken much, I don't want it to get overly crowded) but I'm doing this out of the goodness of my own heart (even though it's breaking) because this place deserves it. I've stayed here about three times within the past two years. The first time I came was with my girls for a girls little mini getaway. Second time was with my immediate family. Third time was with my boyfriend. Rooms are amazing. I'm such a germaphobe, I re-sanitize all hotels I stay in and bring a sheet to cover all beds I sleepy on (told ya I was a germaphobe) but not this one! Cleanliness is Grade A here. On top of their rooms being super clean, decorations and furniture are well kept and maintained. Let's talk about the grounds-- can't decide if the pool or lawn area is my favorite, either way both settings are pretty epic. I frequent Napa often to go to the wineries but when I stay at Vista Colina -- I pretty much spend the whole weekend there without visiting wineries because I love the place so much. Such a good place to relax and chill. Also love that Spa Terra is right across the street. Staff are super friendly and welcoming! Kyli at the front desk helped me all three times, she doesn't remember me (but I definitely remember her!) SHOUT OUT TO KYLI! Two out of the three times she offered me Prosecco as she helped me check in, then gave me more when I came back to ask a question! She was super accommodating to all my last minute requests the most recent time I visited. She also never made me feel like I was being a burden even though I felt like I was! She's super friendly and makes you feel welcomed. I'm so glad my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday here on our girls trip.. or else I'd never knew this place existed. I visited this pool with with my friends, It's a very nice pool, Kinda on the small side and it's only 3 1/2 feet deep everywhere, which is a little silly that should have a deeper end if you really want to soak and not be waist high, but they have a lots of steps that you can sit on and chill and be under the water, they also have a great food delivery and a bar and the servers are all very friendly, you're not allowed to bring a cooler in though. Pool temperature is great and there's a great sports bar across the street called the crush, I would recommend going there after a day of swimming. read more

We had a 4 pm check in and they were not ready. There was a 20 min wait for bell hop. But then could not get into a room as they were still cleaning them. Waiting over an hour to to get into our room. Still waiting to get into a room 1 1/2 later. The manager came out to apologize to a couple waiting ahead of us. His comment to them was... We stayed one night here for a much needed break and can't say enough. You have everything you need in one stop! There are 9 tasting rooms, a great pool area, a quaint little store, food truck, restaurant, and room service! Why go anywhere else?! We had a delicious meal from the food truck. My husband and I shared an order of pickle fries and fish tacos. The pickle fries were killer!! We ate in the courtyard under the umbrellas. Felt so nice to be out and about! The room was huge, very clean, and had everything we could ask for. Even a huge soaking tub, which was a highlight for me! The staff was amazing and able to answer all questions and made every effort to make you feel at home! If you are looking for the perfect getaway, this is definitely the spot for you! read more

This hotel is fine. They have developed it a ton and the amenities they have downstairs (coffe shop, tasting rooms, etc.) are a great touch. I truly just do not think $500/night is a fair price for what you are given, notes below. We stayed in a standard room... 1) ice buckets given in the rooms, but no ice machines on any floor. Have to call room service to bring you ice. 2) toilet paper in one ply. LOL. For $500/night...come on. 3) we ordered room service for coffee delivery in the morning. The coffee delivered was in 3 to-go cups....thought at a place this nice they would bring a pot and real cups. Overall it's a perfectly fine hotel but not worth what they are charging in my opinion. I stayed here for the weekend of my wedding to get ready and it was a very pretty suite and rooms! It's right across from the meritage and the property is so scenic and beautiful! We booked two suites to get ready in and several regular rooms for our family. Everyone loved and raved about their rooms and said it was one of the best rooms they stayed in! The suite was large and spacious and had enough room for everyone to get their hair and makeup done and to change and use the bathroom! The best part of the suites are the kitchens, it's a full kitchen with a fridge, cooktop and dishwasher . They provide glasses, dishes, utensils, pots,pans and cleaning supplies if you happen to use anything! The bathroom was super large with a soaking tub and plenty of space to do makeup. I really loved this room and wished I had stayed an extra day to make use of the whole suite! read more

Absolutely horrible. If i could give it negative stars i would. We've been here since monday and theres still room service food at our front door thats starting to smell, which has been here sinve before we checked in. Told the front desk and nothing happened. Tried to get a hold of room service and waited on hold for 20 minutes then hung u because i was sick of waiting. This happened two nights i a row. Fire alarms went off twice today. No fresh towels the entire 4 days weve been here. This place has gone down hill and i don't recommend anyone coming here that wants any type of service. read more

I want to give this place 2.5 stars due to the fact they mischarged our rooms. I like the place but to charge someone for 2 rooms when only 1 was clearly given (room keys as evidence no signatures for acknowledging other room) dampened the experience here. In addition to the inconvenience of time, it takes 3 to 5 business for the money to go back on the card. Not cool at all. To be fair - overall nice place. Great venue for weddings or for planning a spa or wine tasting day. I like that they give you a bottle of wine a day for each day you stay at. Too bad you need to ask for it! Location is great. They have a brewery on site, 9 wineries, a little market, couple restaurants, the spa, pools, bar area and Crush lounge near by where they have a pool table and bowling. The guest bedroom 2 Queens was really nice with the exception that one of the beds had a crack at the bottom and a couple of the pillows had stains on the pillow cases. We loved the amenities like the pool and pool bar service. The food at olive were good, I absolutely loved the seafood pasta. Kids had oven baked pizza and they loved it. They welcomed us with champagne and it felt that this property was a much higher tier than the Meritage resort and Spa where the bowling alley is located. Experiencing Napa during the weekend before Christmas was the right decision. We used amenities without the crowd: wine tasting, hot tub, fitness gym, courtyard's patio heaters, there were plenty of activities to explore during the cold winter month of December at this lux hotel. HOTEL ROOM & GROCERY STORE Ordered the "Get More Experience" package, a special to get people to stay during the slow season. Received 25% off regular price stays with a $25 credit to the hotel's grocery store by the courtyard. Frette brand sheets, robe and towels were really soft and comfortable. Tv repair and room service were attentive and professional when needed. Grocery store has everything you need from coffee to sandwiches, wine and even souvenirs. No need to take a trip to Target for water or snacks before the start of your vacation, since this place can provide such things. WINE TASTING Package came with 2 complimentary pours at any of the tasting rooms by the courtyard. The wine connoisseurs had a lot of time to explain each wine, don't know if they usually provide the same level of service during the busier months, but I really learned a lot. COURTYARD Played with their large sized board games: Connect 4 and Jenga. Sat by the patio heaters one night with an open bottle of wine bought from one of the wine tasting rooms and used the grocery stores complimentary wine glasses. Such a relaxing evening with the view of their Christmas tree. FITNESS GYM & SPA 4 treadmills, used 1 every morning with view of the pool. Always a nice stay at the Meritage Collection. We stayed at the beautiful Vista Collina Resort & Spa. Anything with Resort & Spa in it sounds like the best place for kids and relaxation. It did not disappoint. The rooms are nice and spacious, even though I prefer the balcony view from the Meritage (rolling hills of vines), the view from our Premier Double Queen room was quiet and nice (hills of vines from afar and just space). The Family pool was wonderful here. There is a Pool Bar that serves delicious cocktails and they also offer food to enjoy in between pool time. Be careful, as it is very easy to rack up the bill on your tab. I'm not complaining, because we had a great pool day. Needless to say, we will come back again. Room: Premier room with 2 queens, large spacious shower with no tub and separated toilet. There is a small refrigerator with no freezer. There is also a safe to lock up your valuables. Food: Room Service is from Olive & Hay restaurant at the Meritage. Delish (check out my Olive & Hay review). Five Town groceries has coffee, breakfast foods, sandwiches, beverages and so much more. They even cater to Keto and Paleo diets. Bravo!!! They even have picnic basket options. Weekends: Love the live music and family friendly games on the patio. We stayed at the Vista Collina Resort for 2 nights and we had a marvelous time. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with breathtaking views of their Village courtyard and a view of the property's vineyards in the distance. Vista Collina is a beautiful property with lots of open space, and minutes away from Napa downtown. It is a perfect starting point for visiting Napa's wonderful wineries. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly staff (Max and Ryan) with our welcome drink which happened to be an entire bottle of French Champagne which were able to enjoy in the privacy of our room. Our room was in building 6 which overlooked the Village area of the resort. The Village is huge courtyard covered by giant shade umbrellas that makes it a perfect location for an outdoor picnic. The Village is the home of 9 different tasting rooms which sad to say that due to our schedule we didn't have enough time to enjoy. The resort has its own vineyard which overlooks the resort and luckily we were able to enjoy a beautiful walk in the morning and evening in the vineyard which was a wonderful way to watch the sunrise and sunset in Napa. The resort has a great gym with treadmills, spinning bikes, and free weights (limited capacity due to covid) that my husband used each morning. Sadly, we were not able to enjoy the onsite Italian restaurant Olive & Hay since they were closed the days we visited but we will save that for next-time. The staff were very helpful and incredibly friendly throughout the entire property and throughout our entire stay. Special thanks to David at the pool side bar who graciously tracked down a stemmed wine glass and provided a splash of wine so we could take some wonderful Napa "mood" pictures on our walk in the vineyard. This resort is perfect for a getaway and we felt very safe traveling during COVID. The recent horrible wildfires are all under-control and the air quality was perfect with clear blue sky. I highly recommend this resort and will definitely stay here again. read more

The grounds and room were really great. They brought complementary charcuterie and Prosecco to our room. The view of the vineyards was nice. But they don't deserve 4 or 5 stars. They were clearly understaffed, and many of the people who were working there were young and inexperienced. Many times we called the front desk and valet for certain requests in the middle of the day and no one picked up. Other times when they did pick up, they took 30 minutes or more to respond to our room. There was no soap in the bathroom. There was no coffee in the front lobby. The accommodations were ok but the day we flew in after waking up extremely early to catch the flight we got there and they were having a huge concert that our back patio faced. Then a few other nights they had large company events that were pretty loud as well. They shut it down by 10pm but you definitely weren't sitting on the patio and relaxing during those times. I'm unsure of the rules for hotels in CA, but seriously. Trash in the hallways? The phone system in the room does not work. So, you have to call the resort using your own phone. This had to happen daily. They will not service your room. They will give you fresh sheets if you want, but you need to make your own bed. Daily we had to call to request towels, coffee, water and toiletries. They deliver them, but do not remove any used towels or trash. Daily we saw trash in the hallways. In fact, we were told to put our trash in the hall, and it would be removed. But it sits there for most of the day. Not particularly hygienic. Covid safe, so that makes it all better. read more

This is for the Vista Colina ResortPass pool cabana rental. The resort is beautiful and peaceful. When I walked into the front desk I was greeted with a smile and warm welcome. The women at the front were professional and explained everything very well. I was greeted immediately by the bar staff Ellie and she was so nice and helpful. She gave 5 star service. Beautiful brand new resort in the south of Downtown Napa. I would like to give a big thank you to Stephen Grang, the manager. We arrive around 5 pm and the rooms weren't ready on time, I got a little desperate since after a long day of wine tasting we wanted to take shower, change our clothes and go have dinner. Since the rooms were not ready Stephen offered us a bottle of champagne, dinner on him and to be in a cabana by the pool. He really took care of us on this stressful situation. Thank you Stephen we definetly go back. The place itself is lovely, nice pool and cabana (if you book the cabana you get $100 to spend on drinks), Also you can do wine tasting in the same resort, I believe they have around 4-5 rooms from different wineries. Stayed for work, and the stay itself was unremarkable. However, I forgot a sweater in the room. They found it right away but didn't contact me about it. When I called, they were able to locate it (yay!) but 6 weeks later, after many phone calls and emails, including sending them my FedEx account number to send it back at my expense, I haven't gotten the sweater. And now I am unable to get anyone to respond or return my calls or emails. My sad conclusion is that this is one of those places that says they want to give good service but at the end of the day just doesn't have it together enough to go above and beyond the bare minimum. read more

My friend and I stayed here one night. We booked a deal through Travelzoo. The place was lovely and I would totally stay here again, although there were some small hiccups. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived and was told they would call when it was. We hung out on the lawn, there was a live band and then visited one of the on site tasting rooms. I never got a call and went back to the front desk and was told our room was ready. The room was nice, love the balcony overlooking the lawn and complimentary bottle of wine. For what we paid for the room and for the days that we stayed I was not impressed at all. This is not what I would call a relaxing stay in a luxury hotel. In our room, the fridge did not work. We called the front desk to ask how to use the air-conditioning controls said that someone would come up within the hour. No one ever came. We had to Google how to use the air-conditioning. So far so good. Only thing that wasn't great was that check in was at 4pm but waited until 5pm to have our room ready. However, they allowed us to have late checkout for 1pm the next day. Service was nice. Not a lot of food options open except olive and hay restaurant across the street. Overall, GREAT WEATHER to chill in the lawn and tan by the pool. Gym was open - had a lot of different equipment including smith machine, rowing machine, cycling bikes, Trx, and treadmills. Room was cool and spacious.
