This is my wife's favorite restaurant. She is Filipina. We eat here several times a year and take advantage of the Clipper coupons. She especially likes the noodles and chicken, and I like the fish and spring rolls. Frog legs are also on the menu (yum, they taste like chicken). It is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, as long as you don't mind being watched by the Chinese owners in New York. They don't bother us. If you like oriental food, this is the place for you. If you want ice cream for dessert, ask the waiter. He will bring you a cup from the freezer. read more

Fresh, fast, flavorful Went after church with my beau and was pleasantly surprised with the quality. Also, a very diverse patronage was there, enjoying the diverse offerings! (sushi, Chinese, American) I enjoyed my meal, and the atmosphere was clean. My one quandary is the weird pink sauce they seem to love drizzling across their sushi. It was so off putting, visually gross, and I won't even tell you the name we gave it when trying to figure out what it was. Upon reflection, I think I do know what it is. I think they are taking surimi (aka imitation krab) and putting it in the blender. Why? I don't know. It's like they drizzled Pepto-Bismol over the sushi. Please stop doing that. read more

The food was old I tried to get fried fish 3 different times, and it was old. All the appetizers were old. I spoke with manager very calmly. He told me had no complaints all day and he had served 600 people. He handled it terrible and then I paid 22.00 with a smile. Beware read more

Mid-Saturday afternoon, post-lunch and pre-dinner, proves to be a GREAT time to hit the Grand Pacific. No hordes of mewling and puking urchins...you can hear yourself think...no crowds at the serving counters or the check-in and check-out. What's more, all the food is FRESH and plentiful. Their salad bar is small, but has fresh ingredients. Odd, maybe, but I do like to start with a salad, and this is about the only bar in town where you can assemble a real one. There are some oddly placed combinations of foods. Why chocolate mousse (or pudding?) next to spinach, etc. on the salad bar. Why tinned pears next to cooked shrimp? But we can just call that part of the amusement. Face it: This isn't fine dining. But it is fun dining. read more

There was a dog being walked around the restaurant, and was even walked near the buffet bar. Proceeded to walk the dog into the kitchen and the bathroom. And my server begged for a tip, and followed me out the door while asking for a tip. read more

The place was nice and clean, and had a very nice modern look to it. The servers were nice enough when you asked for something( like a refill) and were attentive with taking up old plates of food. The food itself was ok and some things were good and some things not so much. The fried shrimp, egg rolls, spring rolls, and crab Rangoon were some of my favorite things while something like the shrimp cocktail and fried rice could be better .The desserts were pretty bad and most were dry and distasteful, besides an orange colored one which tasted pretty nice. The sushi was ok enough ( my mother didn't like it at all and it does remind me of supermarket sushi, but maybe not as good)but overall it's a pretty decent buffet and if you just craving a classic buffet this is a alright place to go to. They also had all types of Asian and southern style food so there was something for everyone. read more

I am usually hesitant to going to a food buffet but the quality here was actually pretty good! The service of the people working here was great, everyone filled our drinks, and our waitress was sweet to our boy. They have a cute fish pond in the front with coy fish, which is fun for the kids. The place was clean and organized. Also it's $12 a plate for adults, so very affordable to have a family dinner. They have sushi, and a Mongolian stirfry. Lots of good options. We have been trying out different buffets in the area. Here is our review of last weeks stop at Grand Pacific. 4.0 stars because the only that we didn't like was that the ambiance is a little dark (tables and carpet all brown) and it needs bette lighting and a little more space between tables. Now the food !!! The Mongolian ready to cook area it's fantastic! They had a great variety of sushi, Asian cuisine, big salad bar, soups, American cuisine. Over all it was exciting to try out different things. The service was fine we went on a Sunday and although the place was busy there was no food lines. Would be going again in the future. read more

This place is a classic example of quantity over quality. Most of the food has no or poor flavor and texture. We only had to wait about half an hour on a busy Mother's Day dinner time, which wasn't terrible at all. BUT they upped the price to almost $20pp. The servers were quick to take away our dirty plates and refill our drinks. The froyo machine was working when we arrived, but it went dry and they didn't resupply it. The chocolate fountain was also down. The dessert bar was also empty. They were bringing more of them out one kind at a time. Most of those had no flavor whatsoever. read more

First time we've visited and it was a good buffet. Nice mixture of American food and Asian food. Large sushi bar and Mongolian barbecue available. Other things typically found at Asian buffets included the deserts and jellos and a salad bar. We enjoyed it. read more

This is my usual go-to spot until recently. There was a misunderstanding at the front counter not over payment because I paid before leaving the table. I was interested in purchasing a souvenir before leaving. I reached for the items and was told to not touch and he'd get it. The souvenirs are in a turnable display so I thought touching was appropriate. I apologized but he kept talking about my mistake and was irritable so I said it's ok to be kind to your customers. I was told my contribution wasn't much. Never said I paid so I do what I want, just said he could be nicer. I didn't and don't equate the cost of my meal to the amounts of politeness I receive. So if you do decide to visit, remember to keep your hands off merchandise you intend to purchase. read more

Honestly it's more a 3.5 but I'll round up. First of all it's a Chinese buffet. Keyword being a buffet. You already know you aren't getting the top of the line ingredients, but I still enjoyed myself. I'd stick to the hibachi grill and sushi. Those were both stand out in my opinion. Hibachi grill you can always change up your portion sizes and ingredients so it's something new each time. They has a pretty wide selection of sushi rolls. I liked the California roll and the amount of yum yum sauce I used should be illegal. It's so yummy, I couldn't help myself. The rest of the food was hot or miss. The American food was more miss than not. The Chinese portion of it was good especially if you lucked out and got it when they first set it out. It's all about timing with buffets. As you know I'm on the hunt for the best horchata. This was definitely not it but I mean that's on me for expecting more from a Chinese buffet for horchata. The dessert selection was pretty wide. I forgot to save room so I had a bowl of ice cream. They didnt have any bowls near the ice cream machine so I ended up using a soup bowl. Overall it was what I expected. I enjoy buffets and it was clean enough for me not to go running the other way. read more

Been looking for a great Chinese buffet and this was a great first choice! There was a huge selection and a station for cook to order food. I was excited to see that had crab Rangoon but it wasn't much filling inside of it compared to its size. The jalapeño chicken with the rice was my favorite item! We came Sunday afternoon so it was packed but we didn't wait for a table, but we did have to wait behind people choosing their foods of course. The service was decent, as my husband received a refill but I never did and I don't think his first plate was removed from the table. In the end, we will definitely be visiting again. read more

For a buffet, this place is above the rest. The food offerings are for sure catering to the locals, with some deep fried and Cajun food you wouldn't expect, but still a good assortment of Asian based offerings. The sushi is actually very good for buffet sushi and they keep it coming out. I would give this place 5 stars, but due to the tight seating and the overall lack of hygiene from the average customer, you feel a little uneasy sharing serving utensils with them. That's a buffet for you though. read more

The service was good but the food was okay at best not exactly what I was expecting but the sushi was delicious and the tea was excellent but the Chinese Food was not great at all the quality wasn't much though the soul food here wasn't big on variety either. Yes truthfully the experience wasn't 100% but I do recommend you try the sushi and they have a Ramen noodle bar as well but if you go for yourself maybe you'll have a different experience and opinion but this is mine so you be the judge. 10/7/23 read more

It's a ok buffet but the way they harass you for tips is criminal. A friend and I came to this restaurant Sunday around noon. My friend who is military veteran had been there before this was my first time. I was highly disappointed in my overall experience at this restaurant. The service was horrible, the cleanliness of the restaurant was disgusting(dust, FLIES & GNATS EVERYWHERE), the food was mediocre and everything seemed to be coated in the same red sauce. The lady that was the buffet attendant was using the same towel to wipe EVERYTHING! The chicken still had feathers on them. What really ruined this place was our waiter. He was extremely rude. We had every intention on leaving a cash tip but he refused to apply my friends military discount to her ticket and then proceeded to demand we tip him. We tried discussing the issue with the manager and he was equally as rude. I would not recommend ANYONE eat at this restaurant!! Definitely not happy with my 35.00 meal tonight . Before going to the buffet I wanted to use the restroom and wash my hands . The bathroom definitely needed. Cleaning . Every stall was nasty . Well, well, well. The Grand Pacific has definitely improved-and not by just a little bit, I was impressed with what they had done. The building truly was grand, and the mega buffet was of massive proportions. Variety was huge and warming temperatures were good for a buffet. Watch for gratuity charge!!! Let people know this! Went in for the lunch buffet with my daughter and ordered 2 waters. We never required any refills and didn't need plates removed from our table because we didn't eat much. However, unbeknownst to me at the time, I was charged a 20% gratuity on my card even though I left a cash tip of $4. I signed off on a receipt of $21.93 but later saw a charge on my account of $26.32. That's a $4.39 tip when the waitress never did anything except bring us waters when we first were seated. I only go for the hibachi grill which I enjoy and if I ever decide to go again it will be cash only for this business. read more

My grandfather discovered this restaurant a few weeks before I brought him here for lunch for his birthday! He is picky eater and not too fond of eating out so I knew this place had to be at minimal decent. Came here on Valentine's Day. Took quite a while to get a waitress. Had to physically flag one down. After that we were never not serviced again. Had to get up and literally get my own refill. The selection was very vast. From sushi to rice to fried chicken to ice cream. The interior is very nice. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Very upscale for a buffet restaurant. Overall it was pretty nice and we had a good lunch that completely filled our bellies. Hope to be back soon again with my grandfather. read more

I'd give this place zero stars, I didn't taste the food only because the servers were rude as hell. I had a couple of nice meals at Grand Pacific two years ago during my 1st contract in Memphis. The food was tasty each time, the service was on point, and that was enough of a reason to come back for more when I was re assigned to the same company. Happily the food is still somewhat appealing, but this last experience kind of put me off. As I was lead to my table, I skidded the last 15 - 20 feet, due to a greasy floor. I noticed other diners doing the same, and said something to my server. Her only response was "I know, I know...". No one ever came out with mop or paper towels or rugs to clean or cover the hazard, so I presume it was a source of entertainment for the servers. It honestly felt like someone dumped a wok of grease along that whole stretch of floor and smoothed it over every square inch for maximum coverage. I went up to the bar 3 times for food and was fearful of an epic spill each time. About 1/2 way thru my meal, after having to catch the back of another diner's chair for support, I decided it wasn't worth the risk - I will not go back. Hopefully it's not an ongoing issue, but the fact that there were so many servers in that area of the restaurant, yet no one made a move to clean whatever oil slick they had going on made me wonder what other cleaning issues might be lingering around. Given the potential for a broken or sprained body part, I'll pass on finding out! read more

I went here for the first time based on the reviews. I have never been to the old location. It's definitely a spacious place! However, first impression - it's not clean :(. My husband was skeptical about going to a buffet to begin with, but I keep telling him the reviews said it was clean, but boy was I wrong. The floor was disgusting with pieces of food, ice cream smeared, napkins, crumbs. I know it is busy on Saturday night but it was just disgusting. They need to have someone on top of that. Fortunately the buffet area was kept clean which I guess is the important part. The selection of food was surprisingly good, especially the sushi. Pricing is not bad at all, $14 w tax. I know some complained this is expensive, but when you eat sushi, one specialty roll is usually $9+! And Mongolian bbq is usually $12+ for one bowl. Personally, I think it's a good deal but will not be coming back because I can't get over the cleanliness. read more

Seems like all Chinese buffets get their food from the same source. If you have been to Pacific Fusion (Cordova) than you are basically going to the same place. Food: Lots to choose from...American, Chinese, Sushi, Stir-Fry. Quality: Meh...some items I chose to eat and lots I did not. The stir-fry area was good, but the meats were sketchy. Some of the shrimps were turning yellow. Fried rice was under cooked. They had a chicken wrapped shrimp....let me repeat.....chicken-wrapped-shrimp....a lot of thought put into that...anyways disgusting. There were some items that were decent though just to go eat, but again, this is a buffet. Don't have any high expectations as it's the same food, same taste, and same concept. If you are looking for quality then order food from places like Thai Bistro or Urban Fusion. Restaurant Interior: Surprisingly nice...everything was very clean, modern, and spacious. Price: Paid $10.00 for weekday lunch. Average. Post-Lunch: Stomach growl....then..........well use your imagination. I think it was the shrimp :). read more

I went to this restaurant for the first time last weekend. The place was really busy and the atmosphere looked great. The initial impression was good but it went down from there. The food was ok, no better than any other Asian style buffet. What really pissed me off as a paying customer was the way me and my family were treated at the register. I brought a coupon for a free kids buffet and they wouldn't accept it because the expiration date wasn't clearly visible. 1. Either you advertise the same coupon every month, in which case the offer for a free kids buffet is always current. OR 2. You rotate new offers each month, in which case you would know if a free kids buffet was not available in October. It's not rocket science. After paying, my family was asked not once, but twice if we were leaving the restaurant without paying. How incredibly insulting. read more
