Went in to have acrylic nails taken off. Was told from brochure and lady at front desk was going to be $10.00. When I sat down to have them soaked off Amy (tech) told me the cost is $20.00. Was not happy with the old "bait and switch" methodology they pulled on me but said "ok" and had them soaked off. The service was poor the nasty attitude from her was evan worse for she was trying to convince me to not take the acrylics off and spend more money to have them filled. Again, wanted nails off but she kept arguing with me to keep them on and spend more. Place is dirty, nasty attitude on this tech. I was referred by a friend to go here but not going back. Lesson learned. Don't deal with mean people who want to just take your money and argue with the paying customer. Find another nail salon. read more

She didn't do any designs and said she'd have to find someone else to do it for me (I wasn't aware that she didn't do designs and was willing to change what I wanted- no biggie.) The manager came up to me and told me she couldn't have anyone else do my designs and was extremely rude and unprofessional. I did not go into a salon to argue. I went in so that I could relax. They sent me to another technician and for a design and dip which came out to $75. This to me seemed way more expensive because this same salon has charged me $50 prior for the same type of style and design. My nails look trashed. My dip is thick and already cracking and the shape of my nails are multiple shapes instead of the coffin shape I asked for. I've put up with the salon, manager and front desk for the last time. I came here to get my nails done for my wedding and was sadly very disappointed in their lack of customer service and time management. I had an appt and got a dip manicure and basic pedicure and was there for over 3 hours. I asked my technician to match my toes to my manicure and he painted my toes a completely different color so when I asked for them to fix it I was treated really poorly and he acted rude and mad at me. I told the lady I like 3 coats of the dip so it won't break but she told me I would only need 2 coats. Two days later my nail my nail chipped. I just went back to see if it could be fixed since I spent $120 on Friday getting them done. The Lady I spoke to was extremely rude and unhelpful. I came in to get French or just solid pink done. I already had a pink acrylic on my nails so They tried hard to match it which wasn't really a problem it's the shape and how bulky the nails look. I was in a rush and couldn't really fix it. I left yesterday and was going to let them fix it this morning but honestly after calling they gave me attitude about a service that I paid for and was willing to pay to fix since I didn't have time to fix it yesterday. I have been seeing Kathy and Mae (exclusively) for almost a year now and I absolutely love their service. Kathy is very experienced with nails and always kills it with my SNS manicures, and Mae has a very relaxing touch and remembers the little things that make my experience unique. For example, she knows I like my paraffin foot mask warm versus hot. She cares :) Kathy is fantastic at shaping nails - I've tried all of them with her, with my natural nails. She gives excellent recommendations and I trust her expertise completely. I am very picky and every time I go to Amy I leave happy. I am very disappointed that my amazing mani/pedi and lash girl, IVY, is gone! The same thing with my back up nail person, MILAN (and her husband JASON) are GONE!!! Good thing I called a few days ago prior to my appointments this week ( LASH & NAILS). I spoke to the manager/owner Catherine and she told me the disappointing news. What if I didn't call ahead of time? They would have probably given me a new tech with less skills than Ivy. That's unacceptable! They should at least call the clients and let them know ahead of time. Having said that, I bumped into Ivy today at the supermarket (Thank you Buddha!)... lots of interesting information! I'm so happy that I didn't lose a very talented eyelash and nail person! Here in Arizona, it's very difficult to find a skilled eyelash person. I've tried this place twice, the first time my experience was great. Everything was normal and as expected. The second time we made an appointment and showed up on time, they told us to give them 15 more minutes. 20 minutes later goes by, they said to give them another 25. We were about to head out and go somewhere else until they sat us down 45mins-hour after our initial appointment. They insisted we stayed. We got our gel pedicures done and not even a week later our polish starts peeling right off! I've never had this happen. Usually gel polish is hard to get off and has to be filed or soaked off. AVOID THIS PLACE! Zero respect or care for their loyal, high-tipping customers! I have been taking my mom here for a manicure and pedicure for more than 1 year. The woman who takes care of payment at the front desk has always been cold and rude, but we ignored it and kept giving them business. In the last month, they've called to cancel my mom's appointment very last minute (within 1 hour of her appointment time) TWO times, back to back! Despite the major inconvenience and last minute notice, we were still polite and willing to be rescheduled. They didn't even offer us any sort of discount for the inconvenience, which they should have. We're rescheduled a third time for Mother's Day at 11AM. We come in and are told to take a seat, which we do. 15 minutes pass without so much as an acknowledgment. I finally get someone's attention (the cold front desk lady) and let her know we aren't walk-in customers, we have an 11AM appointment and have already been rescheduled twice before for this very appointment. She says it's going to be at least another 30 minute wait, so 45 minute total wait! She just shrugged her shoulders and said our only option is to wait. They shouldn't accept walk-in clients ahead of clients with a scheduled appointment! The worst part is, while we were still talking with her, SHE WALKED AWAY FROM US and started doing someone's nails! How incredibly rude! She was dismissive and showed zero respect or care to very loyal customers who always tipped well and gave them a lot of business! I wish I never gave them a single dollar for how they treated me and my mom! AVOID THIS PLACE, don't spend your hard earned money here! To the owner: I highly recommend you demote or replace the woman who handles transactions, she is driving away your clientele! ALSO! They must use a low quality DIP product for nails (despite what they tell you) because it absolutely RUINED my mom's nails! She had very strong, healthy nails before coming here! I got a full set here with John. He did what looked like a great job. Some of the nails were sorta crooked and the shape wasn't quite what I wanted but I left the salon not too unhappy with my results. It was a full set with Dip. My pinky nail popped off on day 2 when throwing a blanket over me. John fixed it for free no problem. A few days later two of my nails broke in half. I had stubs and super long acrylics at my first in-law family Christmas dinner, so embarrassing!! I decided to get them redone elsewhere rather than to fuss with them fixing these nails all week. I prefer Lucky Dip Nails. It's more south Scottsdale, and she fixed it for me perfectly. You go too fast with client services and unfortunately the nails don't last very long. I went in one morning right at opening waited for at least five minutes before being recognized. Very weird for someone to be there during their business hours right? Realistically I would say at the minutes they told me they were too busy and couldn't help me. It was one of those experiences you would not think someone would still act that way to a new paying customer who has now referred at least six new customers to the amazing family owned nail shop across the street. They actually call you by name and do an incredible job on yo your nails . Trust me go to the place by the movie theater, Natural Nails instead. The way you treat one person is the way you treat all your customers at some point. Bummer for them I manager a huge apartment community in their neighborhood and now have their competitors business cards in my move in packets. The front desk lady who helped me today and gave me my pedicure was very rude. I asked for her to trim my nails shorter and she had a fit about it. And told me they don't trim the can only file them and was very irritated that I asked her to make them shorter. And she told me if I didn't like there service I could go somewhere else.
