There are pros and cons here. Pros- Excellent for gel nails. Wide range of color options especially nude and Korean gel brands. The Korean brands last longer and less harmful chemicals. Staff is friendlier than other places. The salon is clean and plays calming music. Very relaxing ambiance. Con- I went in twice for a manicure and pedicure that is non gel. Standard lacquer and this is where I give ONE STAR. The application is all wrong. On both occasions two different staff, did not apply the lacquer over the edges of my nails and didn't apply enough lacquer for it to last. I've been to other salons that applied lacquer properly and it lasted a good amount of days before chipping. I was extremely disappointed at the lack of technique in applying the lacquer. She chose one that was full of goopy streaks and I asked for a different one because I knew it was not going to look good. She applied 1 layer over the streaks and it looked horrible so I requested another layer and she was surprised I asked. I allowed them to dry for 20 minutes before leaving and did my best to not use my hands first hour, but they chipped within the hour and it was downhill from there. For the prices they charge for a manicure. One would hope the techs did better technique. Same happened with French pedicure. It looked great but began to chip immediately. read more

I've always been skeptical of nail salons for their cleanliness and type of service. I've never had a top notch experience until I was referred to this spot. I gave this place a five star because they know their clients and they make sure their clients are absolutely taken care of. I was referred to get DIP nails with guy named Nick at this salon. I went every 2 weeks cause he was very clean, kind and meticulous. One day I came back and he no longer worked there so that was disappointing. However, the owner, Scott, made sure that i was taken care of. He did my DIP nails for me and explained the process he was doing was much better than what Nick had been doing. Every time I schedule an appointment they all make sure that the experience was great. Today I had Sky do my nails and she was excellent. My go to spot ! I stumbled across this place a few months ago. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. They do one heck of a pedicure. I recently started getting dip nails and they always outdo themselves. My nails are longer and healthier. I always have some crazy idea and show them a picture and it comes out better than I expected. If there ever is a wait it's worth it just for the hospitality. The salon is clean and never has that "nail salon smell." Prices are reasonable and fair. I found a Master at work! It's really hard to find someone who knows how to do nails that are all gel. I had been getting gel nails for almost 20 years so I know how many people claim to know what they are doing but do not.  Dealing poker for a living made it a requirement to have beautiful nails! Since semi-retirement and moving to Arizona from San Diego, I gave up getting my nails done. Today I decided to make it my mission to find a true artist, Scott is so amazing I had a full set done and oh my goodness I could not be happier.  Do yourself a favor and see the difference.  Gel nails (without any acrylic) last longer look so natural and can take lots of abuse without breaking. The thing is very, very few know how to apply it properly to get awesome results. It takes commitment time and natural talent. I hate giving bad reviews but I do have to say how disappointed I am in my gel manicure I received from this salon. I need the dip I had taken off my nails I had for over 3 weeks and gel put on for my vacation next week. They left the alcohol on my nails for over 30 minutes so my fingers were so dry! He clipped my nails completely uneven and hardly filed them, then painted over the nail dust after filing!! They are soooo rough feeling, uneven and he even left paint all over my skin! I felt bad saying anything because I'm too nice but I will never be returning. Literally the worst manicure in my life. Drive an extra 20 minutes and go to Pretty Little Nails salon! I haven't been to a nail salon that I write review for in a long time. I went here for a last min gel nails. The lady there took real care of my nails. She did it exactly how I want it. We walked in and scheduled for next day. We were told mani and pedi $30. He spoke good English. So we scheduled first thing in the morning for 5 people. As we waited because there was only one technician despite the fact they knew we were coming. All of sudden another tech saying $50. I asked for her to call the man we made the appointment with yesterday. She refused to call. Not good customer service. He ended up showing up a few minutes and some Vietnamese talking. He just apologize but would not honor what he said. We don't appreciate being lied to and word not honored. So after they finished with my mom's manicure since that was already started. We left. I have been coming here consistently for the last couple of months, but after the last couple visits, I will never visit again. I like to support local family owned husband and wife salon, but they are so rough your natural nails. They file so aggressively and don't take care of the actual health of your nail and their work is never consistent. The final straw was when the owner was removing my acrylics she did not notice one of the finger nails had broken and ended up cutting my actual finger. It was SO painful and would not stop bleeding and she proceeded to put acetone on it ... I paid even though I really should not have and will never come back. do not come here especially if you care about the health of your nails. Mine are so damaged, thin and ruined. So sad read more

I called a day before to make a reservation the next day for 9:30am for SNS dip. They asked if I'd like a pedicure as well, but I Told them I had to be somewhere at 11am so I won't have time. They said they can do both at the same time so I said ok because I haven't gotten a pedicure in a while. I also asked for Scott for my nails and it was Scott that was on the phone and he said ok. Next day I get there at 9:20am, and a lady starts on my pedicure right away. But scott wasn't there like he said on the phone so he didn't get to my nails until 10:10. I initially wanted cat eye designs but given the time They told me that they cannot do it so I had to settle for solid color. Needless to say my nails were super rushed and was done at 10:58.. I had to quickly pay and rush out the door. Didn't realize the total was $98.. not sure how they came up with them number because for one classic pedi $25, meaning sns dip was $73 which is way over priced for a set of solid color nails with no design and one nail extension. I went to get my nails done yesterday and let me tell you, AVOID at all costs!! There was 1 man and 2 women working there. I got the man. He was jerking on my fingers aggressively as he was dipping my nails in the dip powder, took phone calls on his cell phone as I sat there and seemed agitated that I was even there to get my nails done. There was also an infant in there that was crying then a lady with 3 very young kids came in and let them run everywhere knocking down nail polish. Getting nails done should be a relaxing moment not a nightmare! I would not recommend this place to anyone!! read more

This place did my nails horribly. I got a full set acrylic and gel polish three days ago and the polish is peeling off. the nails are chunky and they kept applying acrylic and making them extremely thick. I will never go back to this salon and I can not believe I waisted my money on this atrocious manicure. Not only are they terrible but the guy who did my nails left in the middle of my appointment to go pick up his child and was constantly on his phone trying to make calls. It was extremely unprofessional. If I could give this place no stars I would. They also were not able to do the simple design I wanted and my appointment took much longer then necessary. Went to The Nail Spa about a month ago and had an amazing experience with Scott! (pic #3: grown out for a month) I only had 45 mins to get my nails done on my lunch break and he did a pink & white ombré fill in only 30 mins!! Yes, 30 minutes! And it was not at all a shitty job--- he did everything that a nail tech would do in about an hour or more. AND fixed a nail that a previous nail place had messed up on Cuz water was leaking under my nail so fungus started forming . No worries tho, Scott took great care of me. I cannot express how fabulous my nails looked (sorry I didn't have pic) ‍--- people were complimenting me left and right! I referred 3 people to see Scott and I continue to whenever someone comments on my nails or needs a new nail spa. . Clean place, relaxing environment and Great pricing too! AVOID this place! I have been getting my nails done for so many years and this is the worst experience I've ever had. My cuticles are on fire right now. I have never been nicked, cut, and burned so many times. The man "Tom" is so rough and does NOT know how to do a dip manicure. Worst experience at a nail salon ever. Henry did a great job on my nails. I came in later in the afternoon without an appointment. Right away, was greeted. Had a gel pedicure and was planning for a matching gel manicure. Henry took care of the ingrown toenails during the pedicure which was nice. When it came time for the manicure, he really excitedly said I should try the dip nails - that I would love it and they would last longer than gel. I hadn't heard about dip nails before so I kind of shrugged and went with it. He used a different tool for every step. They turned out really good!! This was the only salon that had availability so I gave them a try. The staff was SUPER helpful and very kind! Henry was my tech and did an amazing job!
