She asked for ombré nails. This is what she got. This is no where near what she asked for. Do not go there and ask for ombré nails from them. It looks like a one year old did her nails. The manager does not have good customer service. You don't tell a customer that they are too busy to fix their screw up. You would think they would want this customer to keep coming back. The pool and beach has been hard on my feet this summer so I'm always in the mood for a nice pedicure. Luckily, my girl knew just the place! Emma's Nail Spa is a great lil nail salon that's tucked into the Centennial Marketplace in Scottsdale. I've been there a couple of times for pedicures and am always impressed by how clean and professional it is. Adam usually does my pedicures but my friend says she's tried Tara, Darla and Shawn and they're all good. I just like Adam because he's friendly and gives a nice scrub and massage. We usually get the Delux Pedicure, which is $35 before tip, but they have a Basic Pedi for only $23 before tip, (those prices are current for July 2013, btw). They also do Manicures, Acrylic & Gel nails and have waxing services. Ask about student pricing, if you've got proof you're a student. Oh and, apparently, Emma's took over an old salon named Desert Nail about a year ago. Give Emma's a chance and you'll be happy you did. See ya there! read more

I was in the nail salon getting my nails done at the same time as Ryan, the comment before. First of all, this place is wonderful and they make you feel so comfortable. Second, she came in thinking her appointment was at 2, when in fact it was at 2:30. She told the girls that she will see if she can come back at 2:30, never told them she would. When she came back in, she was told that they were still with their clients so it will be a couple of minutes. Ryan stormed out claiming they were rude here, when in fact, she treated them with such disrespect- I would be embarrassed if I was her. I love this place and they always do quality work! Very disappointed as the reviews were quite good and I have been looking for a new salon. I was in desperate need of mani/pedi so didn't pay much attention at first to the fact that there were no liners in the foot bath and the equipment was not in individual sterilized packets. The tech did say the equipment was sterilized when I asked but I felt like she was dismissing me more than she was being honest. I do not know for sure if the instruments are sterilized. I just know that they were not packaged individually which usually indicates the items have been through an autoclave. I had a number of toenail concerns, namely splitting and cracking of the nail, and my tech did address this. I won't go back though due to the uncertainty of the cleanliness of this salon. I have been to other places where I got an infected toenail when they didn't pay attention to this. I do not want to repeat that mistake again. read more

Found this place when looking for a salon close to our new home. So happy, best mani pedi I have ever had. This will be my new place.

I stopped in because someone I work around recommended. Thought prices and choice of colors was great. Things I noticed different from salons I used in other states, no bagged utensils so not sure how they are cleaned or if they are, no soak for your fingers during the manicure and I noticed no liners in the foot tubs. All odd as I 'm used to seeing more sanitary steps taken at other salons I have been to. However, the women seemed very nice, its a small shop and as I stated, super amount of great gel colors so I may have to go for my pedi next! read more

LOVE EMMA'S NAIL SALON! This is a family run business, everyone gets along well and there is no pressure to hurry up and pay so they can get another customer going or who got a bigger tip. I called this place at 630 and they said come on in even though they close at 7! They stayed late for my fiancé and I and still have me the full treatment. They were incredibly nice, not rude cause they had to stay late. They laughed and make jokes with us. It was so relaxing and felt like family there. I will mention that I got the heel therapy for callus remover and it really helped. My fiancé has been telling me to get it done for awhile and it was great. Darla is who you ask for! Awesome. I called a place down the street and asked them if they could take me and they said no even though it only takes 30 min. I have been coming to this now salon for at least a year and a half now. I have had my nails done for the last 20 years faithfully throughout the valley I have never ever been so pleased as I am now to have found such a wonderful nail salon as Emma's everyone there is family and they're wonderful. You walk in and you feel like your family they treat you great, I wish everybody could enjoy their hospitality and kindness as I have. I have read the two reviews prior to mine and I find it very hard to believe what she is saying. She must not be a very nice person to leave such a horrible review as she did. I love emmas. You can always count on quality. I'm super picky about my shellac and I've tried other places. Martina is my girl! It's always perfect. Doesn't chip off, most of the time last more than 2 weeks, which has is saying a lot bc I'm hard on my hands. The environment is great. The price is right, which is also a factor in why I go here. Honestly the quality is so good they could probably charge a little more. But they are all respectful and great employees. I could only say fantastic things about this salon! read more

Tara does an amazing job with pink and white acrylic on my nails. She removed a previous mistake and poor manicure painlessly. She was very gently with me and I have a full set of nails that look great. I have very sensitive feet and she was kind to me and I wasn't in anguish through the foot scrubbing for the first time in years. I observed other manicures and pedicures, and they are all talented and very friendly. Lastly, everyone in the salon spoke English all the time. This picky customer will definitely come back.
