I'm surprised by the poor reviews of Em Nails. I've had nothing but an excellent experience at this salon. I discovered this salon in earth January of this year. I live 30 min away, one way, and this place is worth the drive every time. I'm a frequent flier, with an appt every 3 weeks. The cleanliness of this place is unmatched and the music just adds to the chill vibe. The massage chairs are all brand new, everyone wears gloves, and the employees line the pedi foot baths with a disposable liner. But once your pedicure is done, the nail tech promptly and throughly cleans the tub. And all of the tools used on clients are sterilized, coming out of a sealed package before use. The assortment of colors is wonderful. They have OPI, Daisy DND, hard gel, dip nails, and dip nails/gel mix. I've also brought in pics of nail art I like and the tech has been able to duplicate it every time. My favorite tech is Katie and she also does all of the waxing and eyelash extensions. I've noticed that they get a lot of walk-in customers and they're accommodating about trying to get those people in. I've come in with several other friends and they've also raved about their experiences, too. I always get a lot of compliments on my nails too. Pay with cash and you'll get a small discount. For each $20 your services cost that you pay with cash, you get $1 back. It's very considerate of management, IMO. Definitely go check them out! You won't regret it.
Katie quite literally saved my wedding day. I had my nails done at another salon and lets just say.. it wasn't great. Katie was referred to me by friends, and I am so excited to continue going to her! She new exactly what I wanted from just a quick picture and executed them perfectly. My wedding nails were saved and I couldn't be more thankful for this place and Katie.
People can be so greedy -they quickly lose a potential good customer. After my initial review I decided to try powder mani - service provided by actual owner of Em nail. Two nails cracked within a wk yet I was on a trip and unable to make it to the salon til 10 days after such said application. I asked what could have happened as I was told powder is "indestructible " and meant to at least last good 3 wks to which owner admitted she could have used the wrong "base" for the brand of powder she applied on me. Soooo,, her mistake . I righteously asked for a discount on my next mani then (and I chose going back to gel granted my experience w/powder had not been good and I personally wasn't enjoying the thickness of the nail) to which at emd of service and upon billing she gives me no discount yet expects me to believe she deducted $ 5- which is still an insult ! I know for a fact she didnt even give me one dollar discount as the amount I billed was exactly the same as the $ i was billed for when I posted my original positive review. The worst part is when she says gel Mani is 45 and w/the discount Im "giving you" it comes down to $40 as if she was doing me this big favor.... I paid- - even tipped her (just a 15% tho) and walked away. Never again! Cant deal w/cheapass ppl who admit to having done a poor job (wrong base applied resulted in nail cracking) yet still expect one to pay( in full ) for the correction of their mistakes. I went ThREE times in one mth ($$$)) and I would've kept supporting place had they done me right and provided adequate - fair costumer service. Cant deal w/greedy ppl who cant stand for their own mistakes and poor service. Moving on! There are TOns of other nails salons in the valley id rather try.
I'm so excited for this nail salon to open. Since Covid-19, I have been very concerned about the cleanliness of salons. Em Nail Salon is top notch when it comes cleanliness. They are organized and they sanitize before and after serving each client. I love that they have partition on each station. Their Covid protocol makes you feel safe. Besides being Covid ready, customer service is 10/10. Everyone is friendly. I can't wait to come back!
I came in last week for a manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was great, the dip manicure was terrible. I asked for my cuticles to be cleaned up, the tech went right in with cuticle trimmers and started ripping dry cuticle off my nails, which started to bleed. They then started the dip manicure and seemed to be having some trouble with the powder and applied layer after layer until my nails were so thick then ended up looking like bubbles, they were visibly raised off the nail. Afterwards they used the dremel tool over and over and repeatedly went over my cuticles, including the one that was already bleeding and then ended up making 3 more nails bleed. When I winced they told me it was because my hands weren't relaxed enough. I was sitting still and being as relaxed as I could! Later on they said it was because I had sensitive cuticles. They were never able to get my nails smoothed on the top so I have divots in my nails, had a ton of hardened powder stuck underneath the nail and had to file them all when I got home. There are matte spots in the center of the nails where the top coat wasn't applied. Afterwards they didn't do any of the hand massage or applying lotion that was supposed to be included in the manicure but honestly I didn't want them to touch my hands anymore.
I have been coming here for a couple years and the employees have always been great so I keep coming back again and again. Well they've just completely remodeled with all new stations and it's gorgeous in here! You should come check it out!!
I just randomly decided to get a pedicure after popping into the UPS next door and was pleasantly surprised. This place is cute and clean and Lena did a great job on my toes! I will have to come back for a mani.
When I walked in I asked if 1.5 hours was long enough for pedicure and a full, was told yes. It was not. I just did a polish change and callous removal on toes then was told skip the rest to do my nails. They then tried charging for a complete pedicure. Nails.... the guy said multiple times he could do ombré... a four year old could do better. Was first and last time I'll go here.

I have been going to this salon on a regular basis and I have to say this is the best salon in town. The owner and staff are very friendly, knowledgeable to provide your service needs, accommodating to reschedule appts due to unexpected occurrences and maintains a healthy and clean environment. If I can provide more than 5 stars, I would every time! read more

The two stars is because it was clean, safe and beautiful. I would give zero stars for the fullset I got. $65 (ten dollar tip because I always tip) Phung My Tran (name of my nail tech by her certificate) I asked for pink and white received the clear acrylic with a gel white tip. Now if that was all that was wrong I would have rated better she cut me with the file multiple times filed my nail sided after gel was applied and the acrylic has a ton of bubbles used the Dremel after I asked her not to and cut me . I hade these done two days ago and I already have lifting in the corners, and chipping. The nails curve up almost it's strange. I don't recommend the nail tech I had unless you are doing solid color on top to avoid seeing the bubbles. But for the price point I don't recommend this place for services rendered. My mom got a mani pedi and her mani had bubbles in the gel. My sister had a fill (cost $35 before tip) and she wanted a different color on her ring finger and received it on her pointers. Again for the price point I don't recommend. read more

Wow.... this new Em Nails & Spa is Fabulous! The staff is so friendly and noticeably take extra care for customer safety in today's Covid-19 world. The shop has just been completely re-modeled and is Sparkling Clean & Beautiful! Not only that, they have an AWESOME mural of a Vietnamese scene that is so cool painted by the incredible international artist extraordinaire Laura Thurbon. They also have additional art on the walls by Laura Thurbon that can be purchased. https://laurathurbon.net This new shop with all the amazing art work makes it a calming and relaxing experience and has got to be the most unique and beautiful nail shop in Arizona. Service, Safety and Serenity all in one location... Perfect! read more
