I had a terrible experience here. I went last weekend for my birthday and asked for gelX plus a tip. The lady who did my nails didn't even know what she was doing. Two other employees kept coming up to her to ask if she needed any help to which she said no. After a week they are already peeling off my natural nail. I left with almost all my cuticles bleeding and in pain. I was extremely disappointed and sad considering these were my birthday nails. I still have brown paint on my skin and my pinky isn't even straight. The lady who was doing my nails then proceeded to tell my friend "it took so long because her nails are terrible". I brought my sister and friend here and the last time we came it was great but the staff was different this time. My sister had a lady that hacked her toes so far down into the quick that they have been throbbing for 2 days now. On top of that she had told the lady not to cut them and she just continued. It's rare I feel this way at nail salons! I genuinely loved everyone I interacted with! Nail 2/5 - Though my full set was done beautifully shape/design wise, it was a PAINFUL experience. When drilling, my nail tech kept burning my cuticle line to the point i was sweating from being nervous. I also pulled my hand away out of pure reflex couple times. This never happened to me before. Its been 4 hours since I got my nails done and some fingers are throbbing like I have in grown nails or something. Hoping this pain goes away. I would not recommend this place. The owner did my nails and she said that she just bought the salon that was the first day and she did a terrible job. She said she's been doing Nails for over a year but I would think she's been doing nails for over two days. It took her four hours and she got nothing done on my nails. I was supposed to go in and have an acrylic fill later she just got done filing them and they looked terrible. My left hand was going to the left and they were all shorter than my right hand. I found this gem on Yelp. I have been going to the same nail salon for 6 years. I am loyal and dedicated but under these circumstances I had to try another salon as mine has been closed for 15 days. I must tell you ladies that Ellen gave me a Gel manicure and Gel pedicure with beautiful designs. Ellen took over the salon as manager 10 months ago so any reviews since then should be null and void. There are no rude people there. The salon is clean, big and beautiful. There is a gentleman name Zack that does a great job too. The pricing is a bit more then I pay... but, you get what you pay for. I will definitely be back if my girl doesn't return after the closings of Salons. read more

Sloppy and over-priced are probably the best ways to describe this nail salon. I had Ellen and I would never let her do my nails again. I came in midday and there was no one there, so she saw me right away. I showed her a design on my phone that I have had done before and she said no problem. It is an extremely simple design: a straight, gold line across the base of each nail and then several crisscrossed gold lines on the ring finger. I have always been charged an extra $5 or $7 for it because it's so simple. I made the mistake of not asking what the up-charge would be. Never assume. She started on the manicure and did a very quick job on my cuticles, which annoyed me because my cuticles were in bad shape. I asked her to clean them up more and she said she would at the end. She started doing the gel and kept directing me to put my hand under the light BEFORE she cleaned up the gel on my skin. I kept hesitating and she kept telling me to put them in the machine. I figured she had some magic method for cleaning up dried gel on skin. She's got a method, but it's not magic. Then she started on the design. All I'll say is she does not have a steady hand. I finally asked her to just paint over the ring finger design with solid gold gel because it looked so terrible. Despite the sloppy application and horrendous design, she did put five or six layers of gel on; this manicure isn't going anywhere for awhile! When everything was dry, she slapped on some lotion and massaged my hands for less than 30 seconds. I know this because I looked at my phone to check the time and the time did not change from the beginning of the lotion "massage" until the end of the "massage". I then pointed out that I still had cuticles that needed to be trimmed and dried gel on my skin. She trimmed a few obvious pieces of cuticle skin but didn't check both hands carefully. She then began to FILE the DRIED gel off my skin and made my finger tips BLEED! I couldn't take it and asked her to stop. I just left the rest of the gel on my skin because her removal process hurt like hell. Additionally, instead of disinfecting the cuts and offering me a bandaid, she skipped the disinfection step and squirted nail glue on the open wounds! I was literally left speechless. I'm now pondering how to get nail glue off open cuts without causing even more pain or infection. The shoddy gel manicure with a "design" cost me $45. She up-charged me $13 to crookedly draw lines on 8 fingers. You also get the fun bonus of a 3% fee added to your bill if you pay with a credit card. As I walked out the door, she made sure to tell me to come back for a pedicure--she said I really needed it. I just got a pedicure a week ago AND you made me bleed, but suuuuure, I'll race back and get a pedicure from you. Not bloody likely. It was like having your wallet stolen and then having the thief tell you that your wallet is ugly. Needless to say, I am never going back. I've included pictures so you don't mistakenly think I'm exaggerating. read more

Absolutely a nightmare. The lady cut my toenails so short and ugly even after I asked her to stop. My toes actually hurt and throb from this $77 pedicure. Ashamed to wear sandals. I've emailed them and asked for a refund. I'm super upset. I have pics that I should post but I'll save you all the details. Do not waste your time or money. I get a pedi every 3 weeks and I've never been treated this way with no regard. I'm from out of town and was visiting my sister... 4 of us....having pedi time. We were all shocked at the pedi I ended up with. I actually asked her to stop and she kept going telling me she knew what she was doing. OMG...she didn't. I have been struggling with adhd and anxiety really bad lately and have developed the habit of picking the skin around my fingers... they were so ugly all the time and I was embarrassed to allow anyone close enough to see my finger's. I waited til they were healed enough & was lucky enough to get sat with Karen here (it was her first day!!!) and she was just absolutely amazing !! So attentive and took into consideration all my nit pickiness so kindly lol! And also didn't judge me for my fingers and made me feel so confident to finally show off my hands with the great job she did!! Seriously I couldn't stop smiling after! I'm new to Arizona and trying to find a great mani/pedi spot for me and my bestie visiting for the weekend. Thank you, Yelpers for leading me to Creative Nails & Spa! I had to drive about 40 minutes from the west valley but it was well worth it. I was put at ease when we arrived and were the only clients there due to Covid precautions. We were on a strict girly-day schedule, so Ellen accommodated us by doing my mani/pedi done simultaneously. Ellen took special care with a couple of nails that keep splitting and even talked me into trying a gel pedicure. She and the lady who did my pedi were meticulous (just like I like) and did a great job. Ellen also gave me a stellar eyebrow wax. My friend had rave reviews about the gentleman who did her nails too. I highly recommend this place. Coming from Chicago prices, this place was not bad at all for the services received. You never can tell what kind of vibe you'll get when trying nail salons, but Ellen and her staff are very personable, making us feel very welcomed and comfortable. The space is lovely, we were both impressed, and I'll definitely go back. That drive will be my excuse to get out of suburbia! read more

Moved here one year ago and have searched for a professional, friendly, well-run, clean/sanitary and no nonsense salon. THIS IS IT!! New owner has such a passion for customer service and it shows. Phone is answered promptly and professionally. You are greeted when walking through the front door with courtesy and a smile. Always seated IMMEDIATELY without having to wait!! BIG plus for me. Salon is lovely and clean and appreciated the low spa music and muted television....perfect for the relaxation I've come for. The pedicure was very nice but the manicure was truly horrible. We were there for over 3 hours and they ruined the person's nails I came with (cut the shape too short, made them into a completely different shape, and then filed them down incredibly thin). They didn't know how to use their dip and told us that their OPI dip was defective and could not offer any solution on how to finish the manicure. And then refused to do my scheduled manicure. Must be new owners. Only 2 technicians and No other clients while we were there. The technician twisted my arms and legs into all kinds of weird positions to do my mani pedi. My friend and I both had several instances where they technicians were not gentle. We were surprised that we both left without shedding blood. All of my toenails are uneven and sharp at the edges. He never cut or filed my fingernails and charged $15 for a manicure. Overpriced and felt like they were not experienced.
