Overall this is a decent spot for hotpot, but I only ever visit here and the SF location for "hotpot and karaoke". If I wanted just hotpot I have way more options. The food selection is decent and the service is fairly good. The rooms have a "call" button but ours was clearly broken and we had to leave to room to find someone each time we needed something. To get hotpot and karaoke, you need to book a VIP room. There are a handful of these rooms in different sizes. A huge miss is that the karaoke machine was severely limited in english songs. There are no songs by any of thr common boy banfs (bsb, nsync, 98 degrees) and for the few artists they do have they have one or two less popular songs. I went to Grand Hot Pot on a sunday at around 610pm. All the side tables were filled, which seats up to 4 people. There were large tables in the middle, but those tables are for larger parties (5 or more). I wrote my name on the list and waited dor 20 minutes for a table to open up. (Not a bad wait on a Sunday night). Once you are seated, you get to pick your broth and your meat and veggies. I opted for the ginseng chicken soup base, which is $5 extra per table. Just check whatever you like on the menu and hand the menu to the waitress when ready. The ginseng chicken broth was flavored well with ginseng. The fatty beef was delicious and of course i opted for lots of different kind of veggies. There are a wide variety of all you can drink canned beverage in the refrigerator that you can choose from. By the cash register is your sauce bar where you can make your own sauce. There are plenty of parking spaces in the parking lot directly in front of the restaurant. What a night it was at Grand hotpot! I went here with a friend and we shared the half and half soup base. First thing I'll say is that the price for AYCE here includes soft drinks which is a worth it deal. It doesn't include alcohol but is good if you're not planning to drink. It was nice being able to just pickup a can of what you want to drink. The fridge has everything, soda, milk tea, juice, etc. The meat selection was of good quality, and the menu had a lot of options. The hot foods were surprisingly tasty, despite coming for just hot pot. At the end of our meal we even scoop our own ice cream and you can come back as much as you like. Thumbs up for having Asian-flavors! My only gripe was the sauce selection. I think I've been spoiled by other hot pot places with a full sauce bar. When we went, there was absolutely no green onions or cilantro, which is a MUST HAVE for me. Also, I was missing my sesame oil and ponzu. There was only about 2 or 3 sauces on my table, but no problem. Again I care more about the cilantro and green onion haha. Although my other friend said they do have it. So Maybe they ran out. I've been here a few times. The portions are very generous, so be careful not to over order when you first sit down. I'm pretty sure, they dont want to waste energy on portioning put small portions and constantly taking multiple rounds of orders like many of the AYCE hot pot restaurants do, and just feel like doing one giant portion for the table instead. I don't usually order sashimi or cooked dishes like honey walnut shrimp when I go to these type of places, but I've been with people that wanted to try for funsies. Sashimi tastes... okay. Not going to kill you or make you go to the toilet multiple times, but it doesn't taste like greatest/freshest quality sashimi. Their cooked dishes were surprisingly good. But obviously, we're all here for AYCE Hotpot. The meat is good and fresh, and again, very generous portions. There is a fridge of many different drink options that is at no additional cost including grass jelly drinks, chrysanthemum mum tea, Hawaiian Sun, sweet Chinese herbal teas, and your standard soda options. Also a freezer towards the exit with ice cream also. Condiments and rice are located in the towards the back/counter area for you to mix and match your sauces and what not. Service is your standard Asian restaurant service. No fuss, not in your face or checking in all the time (perfect for introverts like me), no fluffy stuff to get extra tips. You sit, you order your food on a menu paper that you mark, server takes the menu, bring your food, bring your check, you pay, and you get out. I know that's not everyone's vibe, but for me, I just want good food. We like having a happy belly. If i wanted amazing service, I would go to one of the other hot pot places closer to the city that charges more, have crappier parking, and have fancier decor. Unlike other AYCE Hot Pot places like Supreme Pot in Daly City the menu includes a wide assortment of beverages including Japanese soju, wine, beer, Asian fruit drinks in cans along with soda. We made the mistake of ordering everything at once as there were 8 of us in our party which covered our entire table as they bring "everything - and I mean everything" all at once in which this case, the server had to leave one dish on another unoccupied table next to us. We were seated at a round table which had 2 wells for the soup base that we chose. Unlike Supreme Pot, we could not order our soup base individually. Dessert was composed of four flavors of self serve ice cream and didn't see other choices on the menu for dessert. My friend and I happened to find this place driving around. It was pretty crowded so we decided to have the lunch buffet. There was so much to order and we tried a little bit of everything with two different broths, one spicy and the other original. The inly problem I had was the broths were a bit salty for my taste, but my friend loved them. We cooked the meats and seafood, veggies and tofu in the broths. We ordered appetizers. We had hot tea. We stayed for about two hours and had a great time, cooking, talking and eating. It was a great experience! The restaurant was very clean and the food smelled very fresh. The front waitrd about 10 mins or so, they were so busy that they didn't have time to seat us which was fine we saw an empty available table and sat there and asked them for the menu. I love that there's plenty of parking here and they offer a wide variety of everything; from the hotpot ingredients to their sauce bar and their drink selections. The staff is friendly and they're one of the few hotpot places that opens from lunch 12pm and closes late at midnight 12am. Their AYCE lunch is $25 and dinner is $35. Both lunch & dinner prices includes unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, while the dinner price includes alcohol too. Also, the lunch AYCE excludes things that is listed in the "dinner only" list. Some examples of the "dinner only" items are the Honey Glazed Prawns, Watercrest veggie, Hokkaido Scallops, and more. Their lunch is 12pm - 4pm. Dinner is 4pm - 9pm. And they offer happy hour from 9pm - 12am (HH Price is the same as lunch, $25) The honey glazed prawns were so delicious and the star of the show. We were impressed that they were legit prawns, not small at all, and it was unlimited. So good! The lunch price doesn't include this dish but you can pay the dinner price during lunch hours to get the full experience if you like. The unlimited drinks are in refrigerators that we go grab ourselves. And they have a self-serve ice cream station with flavor options of green tea, red bean, black sesame, and mango. I went here for the first time for dinner and wow, this is my favorite hot pot place in the Bay Area. It's cheaper than many places, but the quality is so good. The meats were fresh and high quality, but what impressed me the most were the appetizers. The shrimps in the honey glazed shrimps were so big! They were very crispy. And they were unlimited lol my childhood dream. I believe some appetizers are dinner only, so check the menu first. Sauces, drinks, and ice cream are all self-serve! There were a great selection of drinks from water to hot tea, sodas, chrysanthemum tea, canned boba, tropical juices, etc. The people were very nice, welcoming, and attentive. Please update the business hours on Yelp and Google if you are going to close an hour early than what was posted online. My partner and I were looking forward to some hot pot after a long day. We had previously enjoyed the food there. Tonight we came in at 10:48pm, but was told no by a male staff. He didn't said no verbally, but put up his arms in an "x" to indicate "no". I wished the hours were updated, so that my partner and I could have planned to come in to eat earlier before we had done our errands for the day. Even with the business hours on the doors need to be UPDATED as well. I had been craving hot pot for a week and I couldn't find someone to go with me, which led me to take my first-ever solo hot pot trip and treated myself to a hefty AYCE lunch. After a 3-mile walk, 1.5 hour gym session, I earned this meal. I pulled up to Grand HotPot at 12pm and was able to get a table right away. If you have never done hotpot solo, I can't recommend enough! I had an entire 4-top table to myself, and go to pick two broths of my choosing, which is awesome. Typically if you go with a group you it's a table decision on which broths to go with, but when you are by yourself, it's whatever YOU want. I put my airpods in, threw on a podcast and ate A LOT. I went with a tomato broth and the house spicy curry. I honestly wasn't a fan of either, so next time around I'm going to go with the Tom Yum and traditional house broth. In terms of the hotpot meats, I think that they are pretty average but for the price it's good. What I love is their hot prepared foods. I mean crab rangoons, XLBs, green onion pancakes, they've got a ton of good options and elevates the price of admission. The sauce game here isn't very good, it's limited due to covid, but without being able to customize the dipping sauces, it kinda takes away from the experience for me. They also have a self-serve fridge with plenty of sodas and drinks. A self-serve ice-cream station, with lychee and mango flavors which were pretty tasty. By 1pm, the place was packed on a Saturday lunch. So if you are planning to come, try going closer to opening because the food comes out quicker and there's less of a wait. read more

Came here on a Friday night to celebrate a friend's birthday and I was able to get a room reserved for 12+ of us in one of their private karaoke rooms a few days in advance. It had 4 huge hot pot stoves and we all sat comfortably in a big round booth. Their service is quick as there is a doorbell button in the room to call them. The food was pretty good too and came out very fast. The waiters came to check up on us periodically and even refilled our soup before the soup level got too low. My favorite part about this place & I think that sets them apart from other hot pot places, is that they have a fridge with canned drinks that you can freely grab while you're dining there. They have Chinese herbal tea, lychee fruit tea, soda, and even canned coffee. There's no limit, but just that you drink it while dining. Food was good and the quality of food was good! However, a server stood by us checking his watch. Took our soup pots, plates, and then came to our table and told us "If you want to finish your ice cream you need to stop talking. You didn't come here to talk. You need to eat so we can go home." I am a sucker for AYCE restaurants, especially AYCE hotpot. It's so nice to be able to choose and eat a variety of meats, vegetables, and appetizers for the price of one. I came here with my husband at 9:00PM on a Friday night. There was no line or wait at that time but there were some other parties there, including those occupying the karaoke rooms. We didn't try the karaoke room (which cost $5 more per person) but would like to in the future. If you come here for dinner, you can expect to be charged $35.99 per person. What's pretty cool is the dinner price includes premium food items (Honey Glazed Prawns, Scallops, Tiger Prawns, Pea Sprouts, and more) and some alcoholic beverages (select beer, sake, and wine). Grand Hotpot has a few different tables. Some tables have one burner, two burners, and some have multiple for larger groups. The base charge is for one soup base or a split between two bases. If you want to try five of their selected flavors, it's an additional $2 per pot. We decided to do a split pot to try their House Original and House Satay. House Satay pretty much tasted like House Original but with Satay added (I'm assuming that was their intention). They were both good though! We tried just about all their beef options and I really liked them. It seems like Grand Hotpot serves better quality beef than other Bay Area hotpot restaurants. They didn't set a limit of how many items you can order at a time which I really appreciated. I liked that they cook the appetizers on the spot and it came out fresh and hot. I also liked that they portioned the servings appropriately. For example, they give you one crab ragoon per person. I've definitely been to restaurants that served you a ridiculous amount to make you full. Speaking of crab ragoons, it was nicely fried and the cream cheese was on point. However, it could have used a little more crab meat. I was fairly surprised at the quality of the Xiao Long Bao. It was not bad! There was actually broth in it and the thickness of the wrapper was decent. However, I think it's worth focusing on the actual hotpot dishes more versus appetizers. Absolutely delicious and worth every cent you pay for this all you can eat hotpot. The prawns are delicious, comes out hot and fresh. There's a wide selection on everything (broth, meat, vegetables, appetizers, etc.). They also have a sauce bar. The tomato broth is so good. I prefer the tomato broth over their house original broth. They also have a freezer full of canned drinks and ice cream that's also included in the hotpot fee. The sesame ice cream tastes like sesame paste but the green tea ice cream is good. I left the restaurant happy, (very) full, and satisfied. We got there 4 minutes before opening time and we had to wait in line. The restaurant was crowded shortly after we sat down. 5* for the VIP room experience (for 6+ people). I think that 36.99 for AYCE + AYCD + karaoke in a private room for 3hrs is a great deal. Particularly good option during COVID :) In terms of the hot pot set up, it comes with 2 stoves. You can get 2 half soup bases per pot so technically you can have 4 sections. They have a lot of options on their menu that should meet all your hot pot needs. They also have non-hot pot dishes like the honey glazed prawns, which everyone liked. There's also ice cream but I was too full to try it this time. Drinks selection was also great - they have a fridge with all the Asian drink options you'll want. Alcoholic beverages are also part of the AYCD! Karaoke was also great - good selection of songs and you can also access the controls using the WeChat app (via QR code scan). What stood out to me were the a la carte items, such as the honey walnut prawns, which were awesome, and aren't typically found at hotpot places. As far as the service goes, it was quick and accommodating, especially for a group as giant as ours. Now to the fun part, the karaoke, lol! What's special about this place is that it has private karaoke rooms where you can enjoy your hot pot and singing at the same time in the VIP Rooms with a flat rate of $35.99 per person. Otherwise it's $21.99 from 12-4pm and $30.99 from 4-11pm for regular dining. There's also an electric mah jong table that shuffles the times for you! We did the VIP karaoke rooms. It fits 4 pots to a table. Each pot has a divider where you can pick two different broths if you like. We did house original and house spicy. The house spicy had more flavor than original and it wasn't spicy. Favorite meats would be the fatty beef. It's thin, fatty, and tender. Their steamed Shanghai dumplings were also good. Had the soup broth inside and made the entire filling juicy. The honey glazed prawns is a must order. They are large and not bad. Wish it had walnuts. For drinks, you can help yourself. Options like coke, sprite, soy bean, lychee, guava, grass jelly, etc. Same with desserts, you can help yourself to the ice cream. For the price that we paid, I would say quality was great, service was on point and having beverages and ice cream at your disposal was a plus. I was hesitant on singing and sharing a mic but it was covered. I sure hope they change this out after every party. The tv monitor is just like any Korean/Chinese set up.
