I had a load of clothes to do last Sunday morning and stopped at the Ames branch of Squeaky Clan. Everything seemed to be there: nice washer and dryers, roomy and clean facilities, a place to purchase laundry detergent, and an ATM to get cash (which I did). But! The change machine was out-of-order! So without a source of quarters and no available means to put this on a credit card, I was basically screwed. Onwards to Squeaky Clean in Boone.....

There's vending machines, local magazines/brochures, and of course washers and dryers. *there's now a new laundromat on Lincoln Way slightly east of Grand Ave. Newer machines and a little pricier. I'd stay here unless you have really heavy loads or don't live in west Ames.

Worst dry cleaner I have ever used. Picked up two suits and eight shirts and it was $92, way more…read moreexpensive than any other cleaner I have used. Got them home and almost all of the shirts were dirty around the collars and one of the suits had visible stains on the front. Pressing was terrible. Then when I took them back in, they didn't apologize or even act surprised. They treated me like I was trying to put one over on them and were very rude. Not the best way to treat your customers! Terrible job and terrible customer service. Will not use them again!
