Only three rooms were cleaned, the kitchen and two of our three bathrooms. I've had house cleaning services over the last 12 years or so, so I feel like I have reasonable expectations based on personal experience working with good cleaners. The kitchen is about 10-12 foot square. While some things were obviously cleaned, the details weren't caught. The half bath is approximately 6x6 feet big, with a toilet, corner shelf and small sink. The countertop was dirty, the items on the countertop that stay out (like the toothbrush holder) were dirty, the lights window and mirror frame weren't dusted, the wall next to the toilet was dirty, and sink and faucet were still dirty. The upstairs bath is a 3/4 bath that's approximately 6x12 foot, with a shower stall, toilet and double sink. Again, the lights and windows weren't dusted, the sink and faucet were dirty. The shower wall was streaky, and the water with the cleaned-away dirt was left pooling on the floor of the shower and had dried there. The office was quick about responding to my initial email and follow-up emails. They offered to come back and redo the rooms we were unhappy with but I preferred not to. I asked if the amount of space that was completed was on par with the normal 6-hours of deep cleaning and they said yes 2-4 rooms were normal. I don't feel like that was a value for the price or reasonable for the amount of time spent. The young ladies who came to our house were absolutely lovely in the few minutes I spoke with them. While this is a negative review, my main issue is not with the ladies who did the cleaning. It really appears that the issues are with training, inspecting, and my expectations not being aligned with those of the company. I hope they'll take this feedback and invest the time in setting their staff up for success.

The rest of the rooms were NOT. There was soap scum not cleaned off on the shampoo holder in the shower, the counter top in one bathroom was not cleaned the full length - maybe it was too far to reach? It was dusty when I checked. What ever was used to clean the bath tub was not rinsed away so there was film on it. There was also film on the counter in the bathroom. The door mirror in the bathroom wasn't cleaned nor was the magnifying mirror. When I asked why the shower door in the lower level bathroom wasn't clean and showed her what I meant, she explained that the door was old and of poor quality and wouldn't clean up well. After she left I used Brasso and a sponge and had it sparkling in a few minutes. We asked her to clean the kitchenette, including the inside of the refrigerator, and she did not clean the refrigerator at all. We also asked her to clean the inside of the cupboards and they were also not cleaned. She does a good job of cleaning the surfaces, but if you need someone to come in a deep clean, this is not the right company for you. What frustrates us the most is that she charged us $150 for two hours of work and we still have to do most of it over ourselves.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! We contacted Krystal Clean Services two months ago to inquire about…read moregetting a gift card for a one-time cleaning as a Mother's Day gift. My sister spoke to a man that asked her several questions (the address, square footage...ect) and provided us with an estimate. When my sister called back to purchase the gift card with a credit card and schedule the cleaning, the man, who says he is the owner, asked my sister to meet him at their office. When she arrived at their office, no one was there and the place was dark. After several unsuccessful attempts to reach him by phone, I called him myself. He then informed me that they do not take credit cards, do not do gift cards but that we could pay cash at the time of service. I asked him if we could schedule for June 4th. He asked me what side of town the house was on, and said they are available any time that day. I let him know that my sister would call back to schedule the time. My sister spoke to him again and scheduled 9am June 4th. He said he would get that booked. A couple weeks ago, my sister asked me if that guy ever asked for a specific address. I told her NO and we realized that he hadn't asked her either at the time of booking. My sister called back to confirm they had the address. Again, no answers. We had to assume he still had it from our initial conversation. At 9 am this morning, no one showed up. My sister called and after several attempts, finally got the man on the phone again who let her know that he thought the cleaning was scheduled so he would check with "the ladies" on their where-bouts. An hour and a half later, my sister continued to call and kept getting voice-mail, so I called. I had to call five times before he finally answered. He told me that he went to the office to check the books and the appointment was not scheduled because they didn't have an address. As a professional business owner, why didn't he request our address at booking?! I ask him if they were still coming and he said he would check to see if they could "squeeze us in". We SCHEDULED the cleaning A MONTH AGO! Although they were now 90 minutes late, there were no apologies. He also proceeded to tell me that he is communicating with "too many people" on our end. I told him that could be avoided if he would answer my sister's calls. He said he would answer her now and would let her know when/if someone would be showing up. She called 3 more times with no answer. I called back twice. I left a voice-mail. Two hours later, 2 additional calls and he is still not answering, not sending out our scheduled services and not returning our message. He apparently does not need new business. Perhaps it is because he is going out of business. With this kind a dis-service, I can only assume that is the case... I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. It's unfortunate that a small business owner would be so unorganized, unprofessional and so disinterested in a potential new customer that would increase his revenue. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
