Three years later, I still believe this a good place to eat your heart (and stomach) out! Today the food was tasty, hot and areas always clean. Our server was very attentive and accommodating. This is a good alternative when in Marble Falls!

    Very good Chinese buffet!

Very good! My husband came a year ago and raved about it and he's picky- especially about buffets!! Lots to choose from, very fresh and good! I really liked the shrimp salad!! I'll definitely come back!

Even with the 100+ temperature outside, the inside of the restaurant was very comfortable.

I hate buffets but keep getting convinced to come here sometimes when I'm in town. They have a low…read morerating, but not the lowest in town. This place has signs saying they're celebrating their 25th anniversary and it shows. In fact, it's so rundown inside, you would think it opened in the 1980s. Their selection is decent and they do have a couple types of fresh meat grilled in front of you, the short ribs and the korean beef squares. Their fresh green beans aren't bad either. Try the raw blue crab legs if you dare. I did try some of the sushi since I needed to eat light due to a second dinner on my most recent visit. Most of their rolls are made with fake crab pieces or fake crab mix with various toppings across the top of the cut roll. There were like 2 with actual raw fish, one was a spicy tuna roll and the other had either salmon or tuna across the top. None of the sushi is very good quality, as you typically see at buffets. Their desserts are nothing to write home about either. Their sesame balls aren't bad. We had 14 in our group so we ended up getting seated in their very back room which is not very appealing and has no windows. Service is average at best for a buffet restaurant. You can tell some of the employees don't actually want to be there. Overall, this is in a fairly popular area for shopping, so I can see why it stays busy and has been in business for a long time.

I am leaning toward the latter..have no ideea..I ate the shrimp, 1 buffalo wing ( it did taste funny) soup, hate it when this happens but sadly, prob wont go back...I do feel AWFUL..cramping and very loose bowels- hoping I dont end up at hospital..all for now..back to the bathroom ;=(

We opted for the buffet and there was plenty of food to select from. Loved the Egg Rolls being they are very hard to find now a days. All of the Chicken and shrimp fried rice was excellent. Loved the fish and the fresh shrimp to peel. Only down side was that they did not have Low-Sodium Soy Sauce. There were 8 of us and did not hear any one complain about any of the meal at the table. Out waitress was excellent and kept the table clean as we went up for more courses and drinks were kept full. They only serve Pepsi products and do not have Zero Sugar Pepsi. We will be back that is for sure.

Even with the lunch rush, the buffet table is kept well stocked, and if you order off the menu, it isn't a long wait for the menu items (prepared fresh, not poached off the buffet). Operating since 1999, they have perfected the art of pit smoking and how to quickly move you from their entrance to stuffing yourself with some of the best BBQ I've ever had, period. As you enter, their smoke pit greets you, and here is where you order your meat. Everything is à la carte, and you order by the half or by the pound. Next, you order your sides, all of which looked awesome, but I was here to go into a meat coma and have the meat sweats. Once you have your bounty in hand, there is a long table with cauldrons of pinto beans, bread, pickles, onions, peppers, and BBQ sauce. Using Franklin's brisket as the G.O.A.T., Opie's is right there with Franklin's claim to fame. Their moist brisket is so tender and moist, and finished with their subtle but savory vinegar-based sauce. Their baby back ribs are fall-off-the-bone delizioso! They have a tad sweet and spicy finish to them. Neither required extra BBQ sauce. Our dining companions raved about their smoked chicken and brisket sandwich. Do not sleep on their pinto beans. I added some BBQ sauce and jalapenos to add a kick to them, perfecto. , Opie's slogan is "Life is good in Spicewood," and it certainly is when you are dining here. We can't wait to return to further explore their menu.

This past Saturday was a real letdown. Prices have really gone through the roof and that takes some of the fun out of a BBQ roadtrip. The lady taking orders and cutting meat had zero personality and rushed us through even though there weren't any customers behind us. The guy singing in the corner is s nice touch. We had chicken, ribs and sausage and none of it impressed us. The highlight of the meal was the blackberry cobbler and the always yummy butter beans. With gas prices so high, we will stay closer to Austin for our barbecue and get better prices and flavor.
