The lady asked me how long and I said one hour. $50. Then she said extra $60 was required. I took the $50 back and left.

I cannot thank you enough, Yelp, for organizing another Elite event with a spa, and this time,…read moreHeyday. Until this Elite experience was organized, I had no clue such a place existed. Hence, it's a nice way to get to know a spa like this; had I not signed up for it, Heyday would have been unknown to me for the rest of my life (might be an exaggeration but hey, when you are excited about something sometimes you want to amplify what you want to say, right?) I was simply overdue for a facial. Counting months from the last visit I had, my anticipation towards today's experience was HIGH. I felt like skipping to show up with a big grin on my face! They were expecting me because as soon as I stepped in, a young lady at the reception said, "You are Rika, right?" It was so nice to be expected! Since the first timer intake form was completed prior to visiting, the check-in took only a minute. I was a bit early for my appointment time. While I was waiting, I checked out some of the products that were displayed. I even tested a few of them on my skin; I was immediately impressed with it. Right at the appointment time (of 5:30pm), my esthetician, Aunjanee, came out from the back and greeted me. The young lady upfront explained to me about their cabins/stalls/room (however you describe it.) You'll be one-on-one with your esthetician in one cabins/stalls/rooms but it's an open-air system so you'll hear other people's talking/voices from other cabins/stalls/rooms. Some appear to dislike this system, this didn't bother me AT ALL (I've been to a facial place where it was a barber shop/hair salon style where they'll put you in one big room.) People can be chatty and loud but even if that happens, I think I'd still be able to handle the "noises". Aunjanee was so considerate of my old/sensitive skin. Once she cleansed my face using two different cleansers, she analyzed my skin thoroughly. She pointed out some problem areas and explained what would need to be done to tackle them. Her clear explanation was easily understood. And all the ingredients she used on my face had AMAZING scents. And the extraction part came. Since she wanted to clear the "congestions" especially on my nose, she squeezed it pretty hard (lol). This didn't bother me though as it wasn't painful. Oh, by the way, this place does not use steamers on people's faces; they only use hot towels (this was also explained to me upfront by the receptionist (I think); I wonder why that is. I didn't bother to ask. Was this a problem to me? Nope! I was OK with that 100%! 50 minutes of facial was just the right length. Because the whole experience was so relaxing (Aunjanee's soft voice had a hypnotic power) I was (at one point) half asleep! At the end, Aunjanee let me see the end result. My face was glowing like a bright moon in the dark sky! My parched middle-aged skin was supersonic hydrated. This was by far the BEST facial experience in a while. Thanks again, Yelp; You always organize great events like this to pamper/spoil us (I'm not complaining though!!) Thanks, Heyday; What a great salon! I will definitely spread the word!!

I do think it's important to note that the value of the 50-minute facial was $135, and for me, I probably wouldn't normally treat myself to this service. So it was truly a gift! And much needed hour of relaxation in my postpartum days. Setting up the appointment was so convenient through Heyday's website and creating an account. I actually had to chance the time of my appointment and was able to do it all online without having to call, which helped save me a lot of time. My personalized facial was with Ananda, who began by asking me what I wanted to focus on. I had no idea so just said anti-aging...? She talked to me about the importance of wearing sunscreen and exfoliating (once a week). Since the facial was free, I added the guasha treatment (for $50) which was a massage using stone in a scraping motion across the face and neck. I actually have a guasha tool that I have no idea how to use, so the experience was helpful! I loved all the smells from the products and was really relaxed laying with a warm blanket on a rainy day. After the facial, I bought two Dr. Loretta products - sunscreen and exfoliating pads which Ananda had used during the facial and recommended for me. I left feeling rejuvenated and inspired to take better care of my skin.

Wanted to update this review to make it more coherent: Went…read moreto this place 3 times, first had a relative okay experience, semi crooked nails but overall good experience. Second experience was amazing, different nail tech, fixed the crooked nails from the first visit. Third and last visit, the same tech from my first appointment, had a painful experience with the nail drill and blood drawn, tech twisted my fingers in very uncomfortable positions, tech gave me the wrong color which was $15 more due to it being chrome when i originally asked for periwinkle glitter blue, not chrome metallic blue. The nails were crooked. Tech did not tell me that the chrome was $15 so I didn't know until i went to pay that the color he incorrectly gave me was $15 more. The tech argued with me, and still expected a tip. I paid for the service and walked out without tipping.

I've been seen by just about every nail artist here and they're all amazing, especially Julie. What truly sets this place apart for me is their skill: I have extremely thin skin and stopped getting my nails done for years because I was constantly getting cut by drills at other salons. I've been here 20+ times and have never been cut once. I love that they offer Venmo as a payment option. The only reason this isn't five stars is because it gets unbearably hot inside no matter the season, they definitely love running the heater, and I always leave feeling like I've been at the gym. The prices are high but you're guaranteed to love the quality.

I had seen on Groupon an ad for this establishment for a 60 minute full body massage with Hot Stone…read morefor $63. However, if you are familiar with Groupon ads, they always have in a light purple box under the price a LOWER price if you use the code GROUPON. That lower price was $56.70. I called the establishment and mentioned the Groupon ad. I asked if I could book an appointment directly & get the SAME price I would pay if I bought it on Groupon. I was told YES. I booked the appointment over the phone. The day of my massage, my masseuse asked a woman whose name I believe was Mimi or something close to that. I believe she may be the Owner. That person looked at the screenshot I had taken with my phone of the ad. She said I could get the massage for $60. Not sure why she didn't honor the $56.70 but figured whatever. I gave her the $60. The massage was okay. The masseuse did NOT use any hot stones which was advertised as mentioned above in the Groupon ad. I got dressed and was heading out. Mimi or whatever her name is literally put her hand against the door & was trying to keep me from leaving. BOTH of them started saying where is the tippie? I said to them, you charged me more than the groupon ad that I could have booked that day through groupon directly for $56.70. Furthermore, they did not have to pay Groupon whatever fee they would have. The masseuse was trying to use a translator app to tell me I owed her a tippie. I finally told Mimi is that is her name that I was going to call the police because she was not letting me leave. Mimi said go ahead and call the police. After that she walked away from the door. I opened it and headed to the elevator. The masseuse literally was almost running following me to the elevator yelling at me. Finally Mimi called her back to the suite. OMG....DON'T GO THERE.

The massage was ok, but I didn't like the way I was treated. The lady seemed to have an idea of…read morewhat a massage is, but it wasn't much of a professional. Just felt a bunch of rubbing. In the end, she demanded a tip. When I told her that I will tip her, she asked for more. On top of that, she charged me extra because the square machine charged her she said. I won't go back again, there lady seems to care more about charging than service.

The second time I came, I almost cried because of how deeply the nail technician cut down on my big toe nail. Maybe she saved me from having an in grown toe nail, but I wished she would have warned me before cutting so deep. My toe was so inflamed the next day, that I was worried I had gotten an infection and could barely put any pressure on my foot. Not to mention that one of the chairs next to me had leaked a bunch of water onto the floor next to the handwashing station. Multiple clients, including me, let the technicians know so they could maybe put a caution sign up or mop it up. Neither of these things were done. And I accidentally stepped in the puddle twice :( luckily no one slipped. I have been super unimpressed with their manicure technique, granted I always go for the classic gel manicure, maybe they take more time and care with the more expensive manicure packages. Both times, it felt like they were rushing through the manicure in order to get the next person in their seat. My manicure only lasted two weeks before I peeled it off myself in the shower because the bottom of the manicure had been brushed on so sloppily that it was jagged and pulling on my hair when I combed through it with my fingers. Not only was the nail polish not applied anywhere near my cuticles, but i also noticed little air bubbles/specks the day after in my set. If you want a long lasting, quality gel manicure, do not come here.
