I saw Joya for a facial today. I have had many many facials at other studios but this one takes the cake. Her knowledge and skill is top notch. She finishes off the facial with a energizing under eye massage that is sent from heaven and took off years of sleep deprivation from my face. Will be coming back and giving gift cards to all my friends for special occasions! read more

I wanted to love this place. It wasn't too far away and they specialized in natural hair. Went once for my first wash n go and scheduled a silk press and facial for the following week. The person doing my hair was sick so they notified me via text. Asking if I wanted to reschedule. There was a lot of back and forth via text regarding the facial that was also scheduled for the same day. I wanted to cancel but their app won't let you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment. I didn't get a response to the cancel request until the next day, which was by text. My frustration could have been prevented if only someone would have picked up the phone and made a quick call to let me know my appt was canceled and at the same time given me the opportunity to cancel the facial and reschedule both at a later date. One phone call is more efficient than multiple texts back and forth. read more

The Hair and Image Studio exceeds beyond expectations! I moved from California several months ago where I had the same stylist for over 10 years. My stylist Krystal, is so knowledgeable and helpful, she took her time to answer all the questions I had about growing my natural hair long and healthy then gave me recommendations. The TLC steam treatment is an absolute must in dry Colorado and my results were nothing short of miraculous! Sister Girl worked her skills, can you say "Silky Smooth"! Seriously, this is the only place I will trust with my delicate tresses from now on!! read more

A friend with gorgeous hair recently referred me to Joy Love's Studio. It's my pleasure to be the first person to leave a review for this stylist! Joy is a consummate professional! No lounging around, watching TV and having a lack of regard for time for this stylist! As this was my first time in her chair, she explained everything from the products she was using to treat my hair to the processes she was using and why. She also asked questions (but wasn't overly invasive) to understand my styling habits to ensure I was able to maintain a healthy head of hair. I must admit I'm picky about the health of my hair and having it treated well. Joy was a natural hair woman's dream come true. (Not to worry for those ladies who prefer chemical treatments as Joy is well able to keep you looking good too!) Joy's prices are also very reasonable. Take a look at her website (www.joyloveshair.com) for the specifics. I'm definitely looking forward to returning for my color treatment in a few weeks! read more

Joia! You did that girlie!!! I have FULL and Beautiful BROWS AGAIN!!! Yay!!! I'm super sensitive when it comes to using products on my facial area. This brow wax and tint appointment did NOT irritate my skin during or after the process, that's a FIRST in many years!!! I'm excited for my next visit, trying something different! Don't think twice about seeking Joia's professionalism and knowledge about her education and experience, you won't be disappointed!!! Best of everything Joia! This is your year! read more

This salon is amazing! Joy is wonderful. She is professional, knowledgeable, and simply fabulous. You walk in and her energy rubs off on you. She is truly a hair nerd. While she does your hair she educates you and explains what she is doing--especially on your first visit. I'm very skeptical about people doing my hair but I refuse to let anyone else do my hair now (no offense, I just love her.) I HIGHLY recommend. She is worth every penny! read more

This is truly the best salon I've ever been to! The ladies here are so friendly, and not be cheesy, but Joy really is a joy to visit. You know it's hard for black women in Colorado to have gorgeous hair. Joy has been doing my hair for about 5 years now. Well not actually doing it because I've probably only seen her maybe 5-6 times. The reason, Joy has taught me how to care for my own hair. When in her chair she explains everything she's doing and why, the products she's using (which she sells in the salon) and how to keep your style and color looking fresh. Even yet Joy still treats me like I'm a regular spending big money, which I honestly don't. Speaking of color. I have went to many people to get my hair colored. I believe in letting professionals do what they do best after I tried doing it myself and turned my hair green. Other "stylist" always says I got it but my hair is hard to color and I still end up disappointed. I shouldn't have to explain that to someone that knows what they are doing and with Joy I never do and my color is always beautiful. I've never been a girlie girl so I don't know fashion trends. Joy keeps me up-to-date on the latest trends but helps me maintain a unique style that's different than what everyone else is walking around with because she listens to her customers and understands your desires with little effort. I love her and Colorado is lucky to have such a gem for our hair care needs. You'll quickly see when you sit in her chair and no one else will ever touch your hair again. read more

As many know, finding a hair stylist in another city that you don't live in can be daunting! Being based in Atlanta, my mom and I were in need of a stylist for my brothers wedding. After some research and walking the block, I came upon Joy's shop. Instantly I was greeted with such a warm presence and a cozy atmosphere. After a short discussion I knew she was the one I wanted to do our hair for the big day. During the initial appointment set up process we had some scheduling issues, which Joy was so wonderful to accommodate. Joy did an amazing job on our hair and was a breeze to work with. I wish I lived in Denver just to see Joy on a consistent bases. If you are looking for a stylist, look no further. My mom and I have different hair types and she catered to both of our needs! I would highly highly recommend Joy! read more

Let me start out by saying that I have had multiple people recommend Joy to me at separate times. One of these people was a woman I randomly met on a plane; we struck up a conversation about hair, and she highly recommended that I see Joy. That should tell you something right there about the quality of service she provides. As a former California girl living in this dry Colorado climate, my hair was suffering! I finally booked my first appointment with Joy last fall (let me just be corny for a second) it was really a joy!! She gave me a fabulous cut; that helped revitalize my curls and give body to my fine hair. I recently did a Platinum Treatment and sat under the steamer for 20 minutes, and my scalp and hair feel fantastic! I can't stress enough how much she cares about hair health. It is her top priority as it should be for any hair stylist. Also, she doesn't hold any of her styling and healthy hair secrets to herself; she educates you so that in between appointments you can manage your hair and maintain your hair health. And to put the icing on the cake, she can style her *** off! She may be more on the expensive side for some, but the quality of service and her level of professionalism are uncanny and well worth every penny she charges. She is punctual; she does not overbook clients, she is personable, and she knows what she's doing! Joy may be the best hair stylist I've ever gone to, and certainly is the best in the larger Denver, Colorado area. I recommend that you book ahead of time because her calendar fills up quickly, and you'll be kicking yourself if you don't. read more
