I asked for a Dos Equis, and Heather looked at me and blankly asked, "What is that?" When I explained it was a Mexican beer, she snapped, "We don't have that." Meanwhile, I could clearly see another patron at the end of the bar drinking a Modelo. I pointed it out and just asked for a Modelo instead, which she finally served. The real issue, however, was a shocking lack of sanitation later in our meal. My dad ordered the Reuben soup, which came with a side of Thousand Island dressing. He enjoyed it, so a few minutes later, I ordered a cup for myself. When Heather brought out my soup, it didn't come with its own dressing. Instead of pouring a fresh side, she reached over, grabbed my dad's used, leftover Thousand Island dressing, pushed it over to me, and said, "Oh, he looks like he didn't touch this. You can go ahead and use it." I was completely stunned and disgusted. Passing used, pre-served food side-dishes between customers is a massive health code violation, regardless of whether we are family or not. If this is how they handle hygiene in plain sight at the bar, I dread to think what is happening back in the kitchen. We will definitely not be returning.

When you come up on to the gallery there's always plenty of items letter in the gallery that are for sale so you can actually walk in and buy right off the shelf. Or you can come in with your own idea and have them create it and bring it to fruition. Andy Nichols is a very thoughtful caring individual that brings his craft as high up as he can to make it something that is a memorable moment. He wants people to embrace the glass culture. In his early years it was a little bit of sacrifice to get into the point is that now but in his own words he says it was all worth it. If you look around as Gallery you'll understand that his heart is completely in this. Another great feature is that he has an incredible staff that teaches small to keep high quality in classes and you can go in and do your own glass projects under the supervision of the teachers. It's very safe they have several crucibles and kills that they use to produce the most incredible pieces you've ever seen. I highly recommend that you come in and arrange to have a glass blowing session with one of his instructors Britney was amazing. She assisted me and blowing up a 12 ounce drinking glass that had yellow bands running through it with blood red face. My girlfriend was able to create a special Christmas ornament for herself. Earlier one of the questions from the check in with is it a good place for kids. I would say no but then again it's a crazy kind of business where you see fire and glass and activity and things going on it could be interesting for kids to. I highly recommend it. Everything they do in the shop comes from their heart. And you can see it in the way that they treat people that come in through the door.

There was a layer of dust on everything, dirt on the floor, no refills of coffee machine supplies or tissues, and I had to go to the front desk to get more toilet paper. There are cobwebs on the ceilings. When I asked the desk person in my last evening if I could check-out at 11:30 instead of 11, since I had a meeting in The Dalles that I needed to return from to get out of the room, she said she could not say yes or no, and I had to ask the morning desk clerk. The room was so small that there was no chair and desk to write at. By the way, I initially sent this review directly to the motel via their email address on their website, and got no reply. Only after a while passed, I put it on here. Breakfast was very good.
