The Bottom Line 3 stars: Convenient, reasonably priced gas., Recommended with reservations as noted below. Location 3 stars: On the SW corner of Balboa and Rinaldi. Free parking upfront if you are visiting the convenience store. Entering and exiting the station is cumbersome due to the location and the high amount of traffic on Balboa. Venue 2.5 stars: Fewer (only 12 pumps) than other similarly sized gas stations, tight spaces between the pumps on the Balboa side (cars in adjacent aisles have to be careful opening their doors to not hit the other car. Pumps are very often out of paper and cannot print your receipt. Prices 3.5 stars: I have not used the convenience store, but their gas prices are relatively reasonable (as much as it can be expected for the highly taxed LA gas prices). read more

I stopped at this location because I needed to purchase gas for my car. It's convenient because it's right off the 118 freeway. So, it's easy to get to. Prices are always reasonable even when gas prices are high. It's clean and the staff is friendly and the service when requested for assistance to with fuel pump service was good. read more

This is the 76 Gas Station location that a few scenes in The Lost World Jurassic Park were filmed at. The owner and his staff are all very nice and they have 2 framed poster size photos up in their store taken from the scenes in the movie. Luckily when I was there, there was no T-Rex in sight and the 76 Ball sign is standing tall once more. Check it out! : ) read more

I don't often pump gas here but I do get my coffee here M-F. And I am impressed for the service they provide and the attention I get when I pick up my coffee. There are a few young people cashiering and they're so nice and attentive to your needs. It's funny I come for coffee but these kids offer you pastries, sandwiches, and other stuff. Plus they serve coffee bean coffee and their coffee station is impecable! Clean! Always well stocked up. I am hooked with this place as they make my day!!! read more

My whole family comes here! My dad has been dealing with this gas station for years now! He used to take my sister and my car when we were young. Now that we are older he just tells us, "you know where to go." Sometimes as females dealing with certain car shops, repairs and auto related things we tend to become more hyper vigilante. I'm glad there is a place we can trust. Customer service is always friendly and the work here is always done fast and quick! Thank you guys! read more

Clerk was rude, unprofessional. Don't like giving good customer service, get another job. Clerk works in the morning. This happened Monday morning, no name tag. read more

Bob is the best. I've been taking my 2010 Honda SUV there for years. Thanks to his amazing skills and even more impressive integrity, my CR-V has been reliable and low cost. When the occasional problem crops up, I know I can trust him absolutely to quote a fair price, tell me the whole story--what's necessary and how long I can run safely before tires or brakes etc need to be serviced. You don't have to ask him to check stuff; he just does. Your tires will never roll out of the station under-inflated; you'll know if fluid levels are low. He checks everything thoroughly, informs, provides expert repairs, and returns the ride when he says he will. The search for the United corn--the honest, expert, professional mechanic stood here. read more

GREAT PEOPLE! GREAT SERVICE! I've been going to this gas station ever since I moved into Granada Hills about 4 years ago and I'll continue to go here until I die! I was caught in a jam regarding my car, and I dreading to take my car to the dealership cause lord knows getting your car repaired at dealerships cost a limb or four. So a friend of mine told me to go to the 76 gas station on Rinaldi and Balboa. He went with me and introduced me to BOB. He's the owner and main mechanic there. Great guy! Ever since then, even my parents take their cars there, and they are hard people to impress. I get my car repaired at great cost and swift timing! Great service! Absolutely, if I leave my car there, sometimes if I don't have the means of getting back to the gas station, they would pick me up. How awesome is that! Bob is like family now and so are the people that work there! read more

I've been coming here for my smog certificates for my past 2 certs. They always have a coupon for $10.00 off in the "Clipper" magazine that comes in the mail. Or go to www.valleybest.com/granada76 and just print that page with the coupon on it. For $39.00, including the certificate, I'm in and out in about 20 min. While I was waiting, I saw a few cars pull up to the "full service" pump. They still have these?? The guy came out, pumped gas, washed windows, checked oil, checked air pressure AND took the money & brought the lady her change! I thought I was in the twilight zone for a min, a flash back from childhood. Well it def kept me amused while I waited for my car. But these guys are all super friendly and fast. I would suggest calling ahead for a smog check. I will def be back in a couple years, which always feels too soon! read more

I don't usually leave bad Yelp reviews but after just leaving this place I couldn't help it!!! The customer service here is SO poor: I just witnessed (after the manager yelled at me for going into the wrong spot, by the way) the manager actually hitting a car that other people were sitting in and cussing at them! Let's just say I never want to be treated like that again or be in a place that isn't afraid to treat people like that. I will never give this place my money EVER AGAIN!! read more

Convenient... It's gas!

Thank you, Bob for fantastic and FAST service for my much overdue smog check. I was in & out in less than 30 minutes, as promised and he happily was able to accommodate me the same day I called. He even went above & beyond with his kindness to my son. Smog checks are a real bummer necessary evil living here in CA, but he made the process easy and fast. See you soon for the next smog check! read more

I just bought some wheat thins from this station and found out that they expired on the 15th of May. You know, this small store doesn't seem that hard to manage. So they obviously just don't seem to care. read more

Bob should be sainted. He endures my automotive ignorance with endless patience, he almost always has time to check out our car issues and his prices have always been reasonable. He's one of the good guys. I'd recommend him to anyone. read more

We have taken all of our cars to Bob at Ronaldo and Balboa for over 20 years and never had one complaint. He is the most accommodating man I know. He never recommends anything unless absolutely necessary. My family trusts him implicitly- would not go anywhere else. The Leifer family read more

This place is a Gem - I trust them! - words I never thought I would say regarding automotive repair. Bob is extremely professional and friendly. Has changed a tire on a weekend when I was in a big time crunch, has given cost-efficient advice regarding my air conditioning (basically the procedure is more expensive then my car is worth), and I saw a sign hanging for an environmental award - which makes me love them here even more. I get my gas here to support them and my oil changes here - speedy. Also - this 76 ball was the one that appeared in Jurassic Park being destroyed by T-Rex. (BTW there is a cultural movement to preserve the orange 76 ball - which the company wishes to update using the more trustworthy color red - interesting topic of conversation - important cause - not sure? ) read more

Simply put, the best. I've been a Auto technician for 50+ yrs I don't do my own cars anymore as i don't have the energy anymore so Bob and his techs take great care of mine and my family's cars. Highly recommended read more

Just called to ask if they can do a simple tire patch. Yes, the man replied over the phone. When I asked how much they charge he asked what size my tire is. Standard size? I told him I didn't know. Horrible customer service from the service manager. I went in to get two services done. The employees were nice and kindly referred me to the manager who was outside. When I went out, he was on the phone, look at me, and in a rude tone of voice told me that he would be busy for ten minutes. I didn't even get a chance to say a word. I've never encountered a business that would turn away a customer. I took my business elsewhere. Will never return. read more

We have been coming to this 76 station for a few years now and the service is excellent. I went in for a smog check and was out in 20 minutes! He has repaired our cars and has always been honest and his prices are so reasonable. He thanked me for my business when he was finished Smog checking my car and I told him that he is an HONEST man, that's why we keep coming back. As I was leaving I heard him telling an elderly lady that "her brakes are fine, there is nothing wrong with them", in this day and age people are always taking advantage of the elderly and he could have been one of them but he was just as honest with this woman as he has always been with us. I will be bringing my daughter's car in next with an air conditioner that doesn't work and I am confident that we will get the excellent service that Bob always gives. read more

The older man that works the shop was very rude our car broke down and arrived at the gas station at 2:30 the man said he could not help us because he got off at 3:30 and couldnt stay any later while we are waiting for help to come he comes and tells us we have to move the car to the sun out of his gas station and I'm pregnant continues to yell at my husband saying u have to move ur blocking my pump.. the gas station was never full and there was no blocking of any kind ... very rude and unprofessional we will never visit this gas station again 2 thumbs down read more

If you're looking in finding the best, and most importantly honest mechanic on the face of the planet... Look no further. I've been coming to Bob for twenty years. Integrity is his middle name. Whatever your vehicle is in need of, Bob's the guy. Truly professional and courteous. I shall never forget how he obligingly waited for me till midnight to change my flat tire. Seriously. Thank you Bob for all my rescues, for all your efficient workmanship and for being so very kind and honest. I dread the day you retire. read more

The worst full service station you will ever encounter. The workers are air heads. They don't know how to clean a window properly. They don't want to do it. They act like it's an inconvenience. I don't even know why they offer it if they don't like providing it. Not worth the hassle. read more

STAY AWAY! Wife takes car with 65k for smog check. She's told by the person she spoke with he'll "precheck" the car so that if she doesn't pass she won't have to pay twice for the smog check. He then uses a handheld device to scan under the dashboard and, lo and behold, finds her vehicle has a problem with cylinder 1 and will not pass. Wife told to return in the morning when mechanic is available and prepare to leave the vehicle for 5 hours. Wife came home with story. Took vehicle to Test Only station the next day and passed. read more

PLEASE BE WARNED THAT THIS GAS STATION REGULARLY STEALS FROM ITS CUSTOMERS!!! THIEF! THIEF! THIEF! I've never posted a Yelp review, but I felt compelled to do so after dealing with this criminal today. I pulled into this gas station for the first time today. I usually don't stop off at this gas station since it's a bit further from my house, but I happened to be in the area. As I'm almost done pumping my own gas, an attendant comes out to tell me that I was pumping at a full service pump. He then points to a faded sign on the side of the gas pump saying "Full Serve." He then tells me the "full service" pump charges almost $1 more/gallon. Keep in mind there are NO signs anywhere that would indicate this price difference. I asked him to refund the difference since I did not know and I pumped my own gas anyways. He tells me he couldn't do that as it was already built into the price and my card has been charged. He offers to wipe my windows. I've just wasted $15 and I'm a bit irritated, but decline the offer, and just leave with a hunch that this isn't the first time this has happened to a customer. I get home and tell my wife what happened. She then tells me that she stopped at the same gas station a couple weeks ago and pulled up to the same pump I did. After PUMPING HER OWN GAS, she looks at the receipt which says $4.49/gallon!!! The price on the gas station sign says $3.59/gallon. She didn't bother returning to the gas station to argue, but was just confused why the price was so different. NO ONE ever came out to tell her she was at a "full service" pump!!! NO ONE even OFFERED a "full service" treatment!!! My wife also noticed that there were a couple other cars at the same "full service" island and they probably all unknowingly paid the same inflated price, but got NO SERVICE in return!!! There was NO ATTENDANT anywhere to be seen!!! Full service stations are not very common in LA. But the ones I've seen usually have large signs that say "FULL SERVE." Furthermore, the island is usually marked with cones and there is an attendant manning the station and they will let you know AS SOON AS YOU PULL UP it's a full service station. This 76 station had none of these!!! I called the owner as soon as I got home and asked him how long he had been pulling this scam. He immediately offers to refund the difference even though he refused to do so while I was there. I tell him I could care less about the $15, but I was more concerned with the fact that he's been stealing from dozens of customers in our neighborhood EVERY DAY FOR YEARS!!! I then tell him if he's going to have a LEGITIMATE FULL SERVICE station, he needs to make the changes I've stated above. He then proceeds to tell me he can't afford to pay for a full-time attendant to man the full service station???!!!! THEN WHY IS HE CHARGING FULL-SERVICE PRICES TO CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE NO IDEA THEY'RE PAYING THESE RIDICULOUS PRICES AND NOT RECEIVING ANY SERVICE IN RETURN???!!! He couldn't give me an answer!!! AVOID THIS GAS STATION AT ALL COST!!! CROOKS, CROOKS, CROOKS!!! I'll be reporting them to the BBB. I will make sure everyone in my neighborhood will know these guys are CROOKS! read more

This place is horrible. Bob was very unpleasant to deal with and doesn't know what he is talking about. Also very rude. He got on the phone and tried to ignore me while I was trying to ask him questions. He then tried to charge me over $160 just to take a look with what the issue was with my car. I will never go here and make sure everyone I know doesn't either. read more

Been going to this place for 6 years now. Been recommending this place to all who I know who need a honest auto mechanic. WELL, this time no more. The owner himself whom I trusted tried to jack me up. I towed my truck there cuz I felt that it was having a transmission problem at night. Left the key to the night clerk as well as my info to call me back. The owner called me and told me that he doesn't do transmission and asked me if he can have his transmission guy to look it it. I told him I trust you, so yeah let him see it. GUESS WHAT THE OWNER DID!!!! He drove the fucking truck to the transmission shop. GUESS WHAT AGAIN!!! STALLED on him and won't shift no more!!!! GUESS WHAT AGAIN!!! He wants me to pay for the parts and labor to fix the shit he broke. When I refused to pay for it, he said he will yank out the parts he put in and tow my truck back to my house not running completely. Very disappointed. read more

Where can you find honest, ethical business people anymore? Bob at Granada Hills 76. Fast and thorough service, great job, and most important, honest. I had asked him to check my wipers and air filter. He told me both wipers and filter were fine. Amazing!
