Amazing pizza spot on Willy St. I didn't know what to expect upon arrival, but Grampa's is the perfect spot for a chill yet romantic date night. We tried their mozzarella appetizer, the goomba pizza, and a bottle of their Merlot. Our waiter was patient and offered great recommendations. We showed up on a Friday night with no reservation and were seated immediately. Couldn't be happier with our experience at Grampa's. Excellent service and delicious food.

Amazing thin crust pizza, fresh ingredients and great flavor combinations. Staff were very friendly & attentive. Loved the decor with old time pics of the restaurant. Cute outdoor seating too! Definitely will return again soon!

Went for dinner last night. It was a Monday evening and crowded was thin. Nevertheless I called ahead to book a table and was seated by the window. Small cute place. My dining mate had an amber ale and I had the sweet red wine to kick off our dinner. The wine was good. It tasted more like sprite mixed with red wine - sweet and sparkling. We ordered the pork confit for appetizer. Served in a small iron skillet, the pork was very in tender and delicious. It is not unlike pulled pork except you do the pulling apart. Served with slices of bread, brown mustard sauce and pickles peppers. Watch out for the peppers. They are spicy! We also shared a beet salad which was also wonderful. It is probably one of the better beet salad I've had. A mixed of red and orange beets with some greens. Lovely to look at and tasty. For the main dish we shared a Jabroni pizza with Italian sausage. I love the thin crust since I'm on a low carb diet. The cut up basil leaves were fresh and not baked or burnt. The chili flakes weren't distributed evenly so some parts were spicy and some weren't. It was delicious still. I would love this more if the pesto wasn't baked because it appears more brown/black instead of fresh green. I would still recommend this place for dinner.

This was the perfect spot to come for an anniversary dinner. We can a little before 5 on a Saturday and were lucky to be able to sit at the bar. I highly suggest making a reservation on the weekend, especially if the weather isn't great and outdoor seating isn't an option. I always like sitting at the bar, so this was a great option for us. Our waitress was quick to come over and get our order and explain some of the menu items that we didn't know. We ended up ordering a couple small plates, pork confit and shishito peppers, the brassacre pizza, and the sticky ginger cake for the dessert. The pork confit was a favorite. The chimichurri was a perfect complement to the pork and the giardinara was also quite tasty. The shishitos were nicely charred and about every 4th one had a good kick of spice to it. The brassacre pizza is always a favorite with the brussels sprouts and pork. I ended up using some of the stone ground mustard from the pork confit to top off the pizza and it made it even better. The only difficulty with the pizza is that the center pieces can be tricky to pick up. Definitely need a fork. The sticky ginger cake was the perfect way to finish a meal. Very good value for the portion size and definitely enough to feed 2 or 3 people. There was plenty of cream on top and the pistachio provided a nice crunch to go along with the cake. Shockingly not super sticky, but very flavorful.

You can always count on Grampa's Pizza for amazing food, cozy space, and an enjoyable night out. We went out for dinner with friends and started with a bottle of wine (excellent wine list) and then had pizzas for dinner. They have both white and red sauce pizza. My favorite is peperoni and Brassacre. The bassacre is a white sauce pizza with brussel sprouts and bacon and it's SO GOOD! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We decided on 3 pizzas for 4 people and took some home. They have a cozy space and a cute outdoor area. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn't sit outside. We were towards the back by their big windows that have a view of their garden. Lovely view! Highly recommend!

Grandpa's pizzeria is the best pizza in Madison! Good vibes, amazing food, good customer service. Would eat here every night, if I Could. I tell everyone I know about Grandpa's pizzeria.

If you're a thin crust, pizza person, this is the spot for you! They have a gorgeous outdoor seating area, but also a good number of tables inside. They have quite a few options on the menu for pizzas that they make, but you can also customize them to be what you want. I found white sauce, red sauce, and a pesto pizza. The food was delicious, as with thin crust, there can definitely be times or something gets a little bit overdone, but it was yummy nonetheless. We tried the risotto as an appetizer, it's some of the best risotto I've ever had. The staff was friendly, I went with one friend and between the two of us we got two pizzas and one risotto. both of us had leftover pizza to bring home.

Great appetizers, great service, delicious thin crust pizza. Probably not my absolute favorite in Madison, but delicious nonetheless. Would return for sure!

I took out dinner from here on a week day. Jabroni pizza was my item. The pizza had good flavor. It was a thin crust pizza. I tried to reheat in the oven at 450 for 3 minutes and burnt a little bit. May be I should have done it at 350. Sticky ginger cake was a good dessert.

Crazy I didn't get pictures of the pizza! Had the brassacre (Brussel sprouts pie, really really good) the barberini (didnt love as much as brassacre, but added sausage and it was good). Pizza is light, crispy, really tasty. Market salad was excellent, and cheese board was pretty good. So pretty inside, really small and intimate. Had really mixed service experiences. Kind of inattentive staff both times I've gone, not always able to answer food questions, and seemed a little stretched thin sometimes and less than friendly. As a former sous, I get things get dicey sometimes, so it goes. Great food though.

Love Grampa's and still one of my favorite thin crust/specialty pizzas anywhere. The thick cut bacon always hits the spot and cannot recommend adding the drizzle of honey enough. It's an absolute must and takes the pizza to a whole new level. Great creative pizza options here and also a cool place to sit down. If looking for a good specialty pizza, hit up Grampa's!

Tuesday date night so fun! Also a really great deal. Of course the pizza is amazing. Cheeseboard was unique. Service was really fast and servers are so helpful and sweet. Will definitely back.

super cute pizza restaurant in a literal home! it's a small cozy place with a unique menu. the server was soo with me tonight, she recommended the pork confit AND the goomba with bacon (unfortunately no ranch dipping but she also got me there). i loved that the pizza was thin crust but i do wish there was a dipping sauce bc the crust was a bit dry. the bacon was center cut and thick so it was heavy but tasty on the pizza. the app, pork confit, was sooo tender and juicy, very happy we went with this choice! we got a bottle of moscato to pair and that was also delicious. overall recommend this restaurant but would make a reservation bc it's a really small place

Pretty pricey for a 12" pizza, I've tried a few and haven't loved any. Great inside, but for takeout I'll keep going to Salvatore's.

The bartender assured us that their vegan options were incredible. MadisonTap features many local Wisconsin beers on tap. They seem to often rotate the beers and keep a solid selection. MadisonTap was spacious with bar seats, tables, and booths available. The design and decor were well thought out. The crowd seems to be young professionals in their mid-20s to early 30s. I don't recall the beers I got here but I do remember prices being ~$7-10 range mark. The bartender and owner place special emphasis on being vegetarian and vegan friendly. Even one of the cocktails used vegan butter. There was a single bartender when I visited but it was a bit slow. We had a great conversation and watched Christmas movies on the projectors. Wow, I had no idea this place existed until a friend mentioned it. Madison is such a great place…read morefor a rooftop experience given that our buildings are generally lower than the Capitol and it is a lovely focal point. Alas, we have so few, and I'm so excited this concept opened! I came on a fall/winter evening, but definitely would love to come back in sunny outdoor weather. On the top floor of the Moxy hotel, Atico serves up a really lovely array of Mexican and Mexican-themed foods. They've got some really elevated entree options, but also have a host of street tacos. While their menu is a bit pricey (some were actually outrageous), the happy hour specials they had listed on the table were a great deal -- definitely would love to come back here for happy hour. I ordered 2 al pastor street tacos and a carne asada street taco. They're nicely sized and are decently full with meat. Onion and cilantro tops them off just like a street taco should be. I thought they were pretty tasty. I didn't love that the pineapple in the al pastor was chopped on top and was served cold (the pineapple, not the meat), but I still ate every ounce of both my tacos, so take my complaint with a grain of salt. My margarita was also good, I appreciated that they were willing to make it "up" instead of "on the rocks." Our server was very accommodating and able to answer questions. Overall, I don't know that the food is worth the price, but it would definitely be worth it on a rare occasion to enjoy the rooftop ambiance. The happy hour also solves for this conundrum. So, I'd certainly like to be back to Atico.
