Okay, so we trek over to the East End (pretty wild neighborhood that we enjoyed) for dinner at Meraz. My husband was disappointed not to find a particular dish on the menu, but the waiter didn't hesitate to offer to have the kitchen whip it up special for him. My husband also went a little wild ordering all sorts of appetizers and side dishes. Now I don't like to deal in hyperbole. A five star rating should be sufficient praise. But I'm going to go overboard just this once: BEST INDIAN FOOD I'VE EVER EATEN IN A RESTAURANT. EVER. I've eaten in Indian restaurants at home in Chicago, in L.A., New York, St.Louis, Atlanta, San Francisco, etc., etc. etc. Many have been good, but none approached this.
