A wonderful experience! We came here for a birthday dinner and got 5 courses and some other treats. The drink ordering was unexpected--you can make a specific order, or you can give a ballpark of what kind of drink you like and they will make you a surprise! Service was wonderful and attentive and the staff were super friendly and helpful. There was a bit of a wait between dishes but it was worth it. My only complaint is that I wish there was more food! The space was chill and cozy at the same time, and seeing Graham himself in the kitchen and getting to chat with him was a great bonus! This restaurant was amazing! I came here as a party of 4 on a Thursday evening and were able to do a walk-in around 6:30pm. We loved the fact that we were able to choose which dishes we wanted for our tasting menu. There's just an extra charge if one of the courses does not include dessert (ie. choosing 1 starter and 2 mains instead of 1 starter, main, and dessert). My whole group enjoyed every dish and the service was great! They also help you into your coats before you leave :) Highly recommend Graham's if you're interested in more casual menu tastings! read more

On my trip to Amsterdam I wanted a local spot, off the tourist path, with incredible food. This neighborhood restaurant is all that and more. The food was exceptional, the service was great, and the servers always had a wine pairing recommendation that went perfectly with the food. Walking into Grahams Kitchen one Friday night , we were immediately welcomed by Graham and his wonderful staff . The food was bursting with flavor and I didn't want the courses to end . Graham came over often to our table and told us that the prior Saturday night , Mick Jagger and Ron Wood dined there . They are currently touring Europe . Ron Wood was gracious and friendly and Mick was more interested in eating . If you want to dine in an epic restaurant that's good enough for The Rolling Stones , this is your next reservation . One of the best if not the best dining experience in Amsterdam. Staffs were warm and hospitable. Speaks great English. I feel welcomed and being well taken care of. The menu is easy to understand. You pick your favorite items in courses that you prefer, 3,4, 5 or 6 courses. Make sure to let them know your allergens. Well-executed dishes from white asparagus, white sauce cod, beef steak and mango passion fruits dessert. I regret I did not try the full tasting menu due to time constraint. Went to Graham's kitchen last night and had a great experience! Right when we got in the door we were greeted by Graham himself! For dinner we did the specialty cocktail, the 6 course menu and the wine pairings to go along with them. All the food was delicious. My friend was able to finish the 6 courses but I was getting full towards the end. I think 4 courses would have been perfect for me. The restaurant was completely filled by 8:00 and the staff made sure everyone was taken care of. Our meal took almost 5 hours but we were in no rush. I showed up on a Friday evening with no reservation and lucked out since I was a party of one. They literally assembled a table/place setting for me outside - a gesture which I very much appreciated. There is a standard three course meal and diners can add up to two more courses. I chose to add fish curry. I could go bite by bite through my meal, but the menu changes every month. So you just have to know this: - The food is interesting and and unique - each course was a combination of flavors and textures creating many different experiences from one dish. - You get to connect with the chef! Graham served me each dish and it was a great opportunity to learn about how the dish came about or what it reminded me of. Not being a local, there were some greens I wasn't familiar with (and loved) and just some flavor combinations in general I had never had (and again...loved). Knowing that the menu changes every month and the opportunity to talk with the chef made the dinner a very special experience - a memorable night out and a place I will be sure to return to when I am next in Amsterdam....with a reservation. read more

Graham's Kitchen is hands down 5++++ stars. I honestly couldn't have asked for a more delicious, flavorful meal, better service, or better ambiance. When we arrived early for our reservation, the staff was happy to seat us early and were very friendly and attentive. Graham, the owner, made a point to introduce himself and chat with us for a bit. He is a lovely guy, and truly seems so passionate about his business. We got the full 6-course tasting menu and didn't regret a thing. Each dish was so delicious in its own way. We all had trouble saying which was our favorite because they were all so good. We enjoyed a bottle of wine with our dinner; as they have a wine list with plenty of options. Something to note, not everyone at the table has to get the same type of tasting menu (you can do 3, 4, 5, or 6 courses). That's incredibly rare where I'm from and it was really nice that they offered that option. You can also get a wine pairing by the glass which is more affordable if you don't want a wine pairing for the whole meal. This was by far one of the best meals I've ever had and I would definitely come back next time I'm in Amsterdam! Graham and staff, you are the best! read more

This review is about a year overdue, as I had the opportunity to dine at Graham's Kitchen last October during a European vacation. Throughout the trip we ate at several renowned and Michelin restaurants in France, London and Amsterdam, but Graham's Kitchen was our favorite restaurant of the whole trip. Not only was the food amazingly delicious, but the service was impeccable as well, with Graham himself coming over to welcome us and chat with us periodically, asking about us and sharing stories of how he fell in love with cooking. I have dreams about the savory waffles with Black Pearl caviar, and the rest of the courses were exquisite as well. i can't wait to go back to Amsterdam-and return to Graham's! read more

Soooo amazing. Literally one of the top three meals I've had in my life (that is saying a lot considering I have spent most of my life in the food mecca of Northern California). The food is delicious and creative, but the service is what puts it over the top. Graham spent time with us at our table and the other chefs and servers were so kind and warm. They saw my son steal most of my dessert and secretly prepared me another one and helped me fight him off! :) This is a true gem of a restaurant and I highly recommend it. Stumbled in to Graham's kitchen and were greeted by a friendly staff including the namesake owner, Graham. The staff seemed to know the majority of the patrons already, giving the restaurant a very communal feel. Graham explained the dishes to us and checked in multiple times during the meal to ensure everything tastes great - it did. The food was well balanced and was presented in a modern, yet eloquent fashion. It was a similar experience to Michelin Star restaurants. I highly recommend giving it a try. read more

I have been in Amsterdam for about 2 weeks now, and I just had my most amazing meal at this off the beaten path fine dining restaurant. My mom who was with me said "This is literally the most beautiful meal I have had in my life." Every staff member greeted us as we came in and treated us so nicely I considered maybe they thought I was a critic. We had the six course, appetizers and a bottle of wine all amazing. We went there tonight for dinner on our last night in Amsterdam and it was some of the best food we have ever had. Graham himself seated us and continued to chat with us throughout the evening. We opted for a 6pm dinner since we had an early flight and for the first bit of our dinner we were the only ones in the restaurant- which was such a delight. As it started to fill up, the attention never decreased and the amount of attention that Graham paid to each of his customers was beyond anything I had ever experienced. We went with the 5 course tasting and shared the cheese and chocolate course between us at Graham's suggestion since I did not want "to miss out on a course" but did not think I could manage all 6 courses. This place is a gem! We were on the hunt for some late night food and found this just as they were closing the kitchen. The chef was so kind and came to ask us what we would like. They made sure that we got the wine that we wanted and the wine was excellent. I chose the skate dish and to be honest, it was one of the top five fish dishes I have ever had. My daughter was practically licking my plate! I would have ordered another one had it not been so late. It was the freshest piece of fish. Graham made us feel at home. The atmosphere was perfect. Elegant and on a quiet side street off the beaten path. It didn't feel like all the other restaurants that came with a smoky, brasserie feel. This was more like a pretty wine bar with upgraded seating that was clean and modern. I would definitely recommend this to others. The menu changes seasonally it seems and the options are few.
