Recently visited and I think I found my new favorite restaurant! Everything we had was amazing! There is street parking, garage parking, and complimentary valet. The space is small but it feels open and very inviting! The service was wonderful! Everything we had was amazing but eh stand outs were the ceviche, crab and shrimp fried rice, and the tres leches! Can't wait to go back!
Had an annual HRW date with a friend. We invited two more girlies and wanted to have a cute dinner night. After HEAVY deliberation (there's so many options this year) we convinced them we should try graffiti raw. I'm so glad we did!! From the time I entered the energy was top tier. Full service from the threshold of the front entrance until we were literally back at valet. Staff and management here are so hospitable. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with each piece complementing another. Love the wall art in the restroom entrances as well as the light fixtures. Let's get to the food and drinks cuz that's why y'all are still reading . I'm on my 3rd alcohol cleans of the year so I have suggestions for the mocktail girlies as well! I enjoyed both the grapefruit spritz ~ sub grapefruit for watermelon and the chulita. The other ladies had the jacy, margarita, ruby red , and the collective. No complaints on any of them. We all started with the crispy calamari. The shishito peppers paired so well with seasonings and calamari was coated perfectly. Second course some of the ladies chose the ceviche combo, wiped their plates clean! I enjoyed the crab and shrimp fried rice. The sauce that comes with it really elevated the flavors. For the third course the linguini apps vongole took the win at the table. One of the ladies got the chicken schnitzel and while the chicken was prepared to her liking she still felt like something was missing. We closed out with the most perfect tres leches and a cheesecake for one. Before our food hit the table we already were discussing coming back for brunch. They have $15 mimosa carafes, happy hours during the week and even nightly wine specials. Another great mention is that everything is used with honest ingredients!! Truly a gem to find now a days.
We tried graffiti raw for HRW and had an amazing time. The service was fantastic, quick, friendly and the most attentive we've had in a long time. The restaurant is beautifully decorated as well. We felt like the HRW was a great value - we tried the crispy tuna, fried rice, caviar and chips, calamari, linguine, cheese burger and vanilla bean cheesecake. Zero complaints about anything - it was all delicious! But I have to say the linguine was awesome and the caviar and chips were a great app. We have already decided to come back to try the regular menu as well. 10/10 and can't wait to come back
Very cool restaurant in lower Westheimer that has a California-beachy vibe. We enjoyed spicy mexcal margaritas along with a baked fish dish and a spicy salmon curry bowl. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The only thing we didn't love was forced valet parking due to the lack of meaningful alternatives.... but definitely worth checking out Graffiti Raw!
My mom first discovered this restaurant and wanted to try it with me. We had lunch reservations and were seated right away with no wait. Although the restaurant was not very crowded, the atmosphere was still very pleasant. The space is beautifully decorated, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but overall, I am unsure if the experience was strong enough to make me want to return. To start, my mom and I ordered the Crispy Calamari and the Charred Octopus. The octopus was easily the standout dish of our meal. It was incredibly tender and flavorful, and it paired well with the other components on the plate, including the crème fraîche, chili crunch, potato, and chorizo. A staff member also came by to cut the octopus for us and recommended that we eat it with everything on the plate, which elevated the experience. That said, I would have liked a bit more of the chimichurri to help brighten the dish and cut through the richness of the cream and potato. Unfortunately, the calamari was very average in comparison. While it was fried well in terms of color, the batter was overly thick and overwhelming, especially since the calamari itself was overcooked. The excessive batter made it tough and difficult to chew, to the point where it was hard to cut with a fork. The seasoning was good and the portion size was generous, but the texture ultimately took away from the dish. We also ordered the Angus Cheeseburger, though by the time it arrived, we were already quite full from the generous portions of the appetizers. We still gave it a try, but it was fairly ordinary. The bun was very soft and there was plenty of sauce, the fries were soggy, and while the smashed patties were cooked well, nothing about the burger stood out. Overall, while the service and ambiance were enjoyable, the food was inconsistent and did not fully justify a return visit. Aside from the excellent octopus, most of the dishes were forgettable, making this a place I would likely skip in favor of more reliable options nearby.
Near Montrose and Westheimer, fun place to people watch. Pluses 1. Outdoor patio 2. Spaghetti carbonara Areas to improve 1. Outdoor chairs not comfortable 2. Cocktail was just okay and pricey 3. Linguine vongole- so salty and spicy, inedible, server apologized for not letting me know in advance 4. Calamari good amount but also too salty I've eaten at their other concepts before. They do have HH which could be interesting. Moderate price point. It was a wonderful day to be outside for dinner, but not sure I would return for the food.
Great Happy Hour, $5 Aperol spritzes on Thursdays. A cute little place with good vibes, good energy, and some outside seating. Perfect for a sunny day to sit outside. They have a really good cocktail menu and will validate valet parking. Okay some of the best calamari I've tasted! It also has fried asparagus or green onions or something alongside shishito peppers and garlic chips. This was pretty damn good if you excuse my French. It was fried and seasoned perfectly and it came with a banana pepper aioli and a lemon infused pepper olive oil which was delicious! I also ordered the crispy rice tuna cake which was beautiful and executed perfectly. The tuna was so fresh and delicious, the avocado beautifully sliced, and the chili oil and slight spice around and on top brought this appetizer full circle. Ty Chris for a lovely and attentive experience.
The food and service is top tier, all of the items we ordered were great and seasoned well. Something so devine like calamari with shishito peppers was a great appetizer along with the miso salad. We sat outside with a nice breeze blowing and under some shaded trees.
What a lovely place to dine at, especially if you enjoy sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. The outdoor seating was nice, each table had umbrellas so you don't need to worry about catching too much sun. They play music that could be heard from outside. They offer a variety of cocktails and wines as well as brunch items during the weekend. They validate valet parking! So if you want free parking do not park in the garage across the street. To drink I got "The Perla" and a "Carajillo" both super delicious. The Perla is the perfect blend of pineapple and coconut. A creamy refreshing cocktail. The Carajillo was delicious! I'm very picky when it comes to Carajillos and this one was great! I approve! I love that rich coffee taste, the bartender killed it! For appetizers we ordered the Crispy Calamari and Crispy Rice & Tuna. The server did advise us that the Crispy Rice & Tuna is 2 bites, the size of two bites. I will say it's one bite max, super tiny for the price point. It was tasty and fresh but a little pricy for something so small. The Crispy Calamari was so good. I loved the dipping sauces that came with it. Both a lemon butter and oil, very delicious. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the flavors were amazing. For our entrées, we got "The Cure" which is a brunch menu item and an "Angus Cheeseburger" as well as a side of Brussels sprouts. The Cure is their carbonara spaghetti with breaded chicken. It was a nice surprise seeing the carbonara be prepared at our table. This dish was delicious. No complaints. I loved that the Angus cheeseburger was t smashed patties! The patties were cooked perfectly, they had that nice crispy edge that I love! And the Brussels sprouts were a 10/10, that perfect sweet and savory flavor I look when I eat Brussels sprouts! So good, all the food was really good. The service was great too. Our server was very attentive. Always checking up on us and making sure everything was good before leaving the table. At one point my friend had ordered an espresso martini with rum. She did not like the espresso martini. It tasted different than what we were accustomed to. We let the server know, and she gladly exchanged the drink. After exchanging the drink, the bartender advised her that they used the wrong type of rum for the espresso martini. Both the server and the manager came to our table to apologize for the mistake and didn't charge us for the drink, which I found to be great customer service on their end. That was very nice of them to come apologize for the little mistake. Overall, I really enjoyed my dining experience at graffiti raw. I will be back! Don't forget to ask about parking validation. And they do offer reservations!
I've had this place on my list for a while and was really looking forward to it. My server was from Scotland I think his name was Nick or sounded like Nick. He was so friendly and extremely enthusiastic. He read off the specials and they sounded delicious so I didn't bother with the menu. Maybe I should have explored the menu. The fall salad was really good spring leaves with butternut squash, dates, feta, pomegranate I think I might make this for thanksgiving. However the chicken was a disappointment the chicken was dry and had no seasoning. The rice was dry. A little sauce could have saved this dish. Crème brûlée was good though I wish the topping was warm or at least room temperature. It's a cute restaurant maybe I'll try something else next time.
I came to Graffiti Raw on my esthetician's recommendation and I was not disappointed. We made outdoor reservations just in case and I suggest you do the same if it's a particularly beautiful day. We were already parked at the garage parking across the street so we walked from there although if you're lucky you could snag a street parking spot. The ambiance was beautiful indoor and most things I tried were tasty. The service was wonderful and the manager was nice to us. They also have a bunch menu from 10-4 on the weekends. Here are my thoughts on the food and drinks. Crispy Rice & Tuna $14 - 3/5 The flavor was fine, nothing new, but the portion was laughably small and was one bite. The waitress warned us that it was "two bites," but it was one piece we had to cut in half. For the price, I expected two individual pieces. Also, it's worth noting that this is under the "To share- All Day Menu".....Not worth it. Crispy Calamari $22 - 4.5/5 This was so good! I really like how they added fried green onion into the mix and the two sauces it came with complimented it very well. It came with a lemon creamy sauce and a lemon infused oil for dipping. Caramelized Brussel Sprouts $10- 4/5 These are a pretty solid choice. They were savory and came with caramelized onions as well. Didn't have that touch of sweet or crisp that I prefer on brussels but they were good. The Cure (brunch menu) $28- 4/5 This one was tasty and a fun experience as well because the waitress came and made the sauce at the table. I just wish the cutlet wasn't so dry and thin. Angus Cheeseburger $18- 4.8/5 This smash burger was juicy and flavorful. Almost on par with my favorite spot Burger Bodega. El Pepino $16- 3.7/5 It's what I expected from this drink. Nothing more nothing less. Refreshing cucumber margarita basically. Bloom $18- 4.5/5 This was so good! Definitely don't buy it if you aren't a fan of florals. Espresso Martini- 1/5 This was easily the worst thing I had. I asked for rum (I've had one before with rum and it was amazing), told the server to go with whatever rum the bartender recommends since I'd only had the drink once before. Now I know: always ask for dark rum. Hard to say if it was the white rum or their coffee base, but either way, it just didn't work. The manager came over and comped the drink because he had heard I didn't like it which was really nice but he explained that dark rum would have made it taste better so it turned out to be a learning lesson for me! Carajillo 5/5- This was amazing. Super smooth and tasty. This is the experience I wanted from my espresso martini. Overall I'd come back!
This was my first time ever trying this restaurant! We came for brunch. It is super cute and open inside. I love that they offer carafes of mimosas inside of just singles. I had the Sunrise Sandwich and the Oysters, both of which were delicious and flavorful. I will add that I am usually not a fan of tator tots, but these were SO good and cooked to perfection. Our server was able to offer great suggestions and was really nice and attentive, making our experience even better! Would definitely come back to try for dinner!
We went back for restaurant weeks and had a pleasant experience all around. Food was really good, including the new cheesecake dessert option. Service was a little spotty, especially since they forgot our second course, but they were professional and nice about it. Overall a satisfying experience for a casual, relaxed outing.

This place's ambiance is so great! The vibes and decor are very nice. It's vibe-y and tulum like eight it's wicker decor and Cali style neutrals around. The service was great as well. It was incredibly fast. We were actually shocked by how fast the food came out after we ordered. Our waters were never empty and it was efficient. Everything we had here was very tasty! We got the roasted oysters, shrimp and crab fried rice, salmon tare tare, and the beet cake and tres leches for dessert. All of these dishes were great. The favorite was definitely the crab and shrimp fried rice!! I do have to say that I feel like this place is a bit overpriced, but you do get great food, ambiance, and service. read more
I would say mores 3.5 stars, but that's not an option. First parking is street or complimentary valet -- happily used the valet option. The wait, wow. I came alone on a Friday night without a reservation, so I did not expect immediate seating. I was told when I checked in at the hostess desk that I would be put on the waitlist and get a table in about 15-20 minutes, which ended up being a gross underestimation. I waited for an hour, outside, standing by a heater. There is no indoor waiting area. I checked back in at the hostess desk a couple of times and was reassured that my table was just about to open. When I went back in to check the last time -- 45 mins after I was told the table would be ready -- I was informed that there was no table going to be available for me anytime soon, and that there were actually 6 reservations also waiting for their table. Me waiting without a reservation is one thing, but people also waiting 40 minutes WITH a reservation, that's wild. I also wish someone would have communicated with me earlier on when they realized they were so far behind, so I could have just went to another restaurant nearby, instead of leading me to believe a table was being cleaned for me, as I continued to wait outside. Okay, the drinks. I had the gratify smash -- the glass was filled to the brim with ice, could not have been more than 3.5 oz of actual drink for $17, needless to say, I didn't order another drink. Food: I actually enjoyed everything I ate: oysters, miso caeser salad, fries, spaghetti rustichella (my first time trying uni -- pretty good), steamed broccoli. Food is a bit on the pricey side as well, but not the worst pricing I've seen. Overall, the long wait dampened the experience. But I did enjoy my meal. Will probably not be back, because I fear prolonged waiting even with a reservation. read more

On behalf of my wife: We came here for a girls night out but it became a night of cascading failures. To start off, we had a reservation they did not honor that we made weeks ahead of time. We still had to wait 45 minutes before getting our table. What a great first impression! There is no waiting area, the bar was packed, and the music was so loud I thought I was in a club. You literally had to raise your voice to talk to the person next to you. The restaurant is supposed to represent Cali vibes, and this was reflected in their food. Not only was the food overpriced for the portions you receive, but it was a little bit too salty for my taste. To top it all off, the manager did not allow us to slice a small bridal cake even though the waitress was completely fine with it. If I had to mention some positives, the valet is complimentary, our waitress was attentive, the environment was nice to look at, the manager did offer a small serving of champagne while I waited 45 minutes for our table, and the food presentation was nice. If I wanted Cali vibes and Cali food, I would go to Cali. No need to bring that here. Stay away from this place. read more

The ambiance is giving very much tulum, resort vibes. It's bright, beautiful, and relaxing. Service was great! We were greeted and seated right away. We did make reservations just in case it was busy though. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and offered some tasty options. Was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! Very fresh and perfect for lunch. I had the stuffed avocado along with a Caipirinha. Light and filling and the cocktail was perfectly made. I can't wait to come back and explore the menu! read more

Everything in here was amazing! Wilmer and Laura were awesome- very friendly, accommodating, and had great recommendations! They let me turn 'sugar lips' into a tequila cocktail Vs. rum and it was 10/10. The place gives you this mexico beachy vibe especially with the Mole on ribs- something I've never tried but was delicious. The fries were soooo good. My friend was vegetarian and they accommodated her very well. Love love love. Welcome to the neighborhood! read more

Nestled on a quiet corner in what is seemingly becoming the "Hells Kitchen" of Houston is a restaurant that is anything but quiet. Graffiti raw brings a much needed liveliness with exceptional cocktails, great food and one of the best ambiances in the area. In celebration of a great quarter at work, myself and two of my colleagues went for a girls night and were not disappointed. From the outside Graffiti Raw has a casual beachy vibe, but once inside it is a bustling hot spot with great music and fosters a lively evening. Our party of three decided to get everything family style and left full and more than satisfied. The flavor combinations of the food all match perfectly and incorporate unexpected ingredients. For drinks we went with "The Big Sur," "Carajillo Improved," "So Rich, So Pretty," and "The Lustre." Personal favorite was the Big Sur as it used Beet juice to give a spin on a Tequila Sunrise. On to the Food. It did not disappoint at all. Portions are decently sized and enough for 2-3 people when shared. We ordered: Greek Calamari: Grilled Calamari, with a spicy tomato sauce and olives Charred Octopus: Grilled Octopus, chorizo, Yukon Potato served with Creme Fraiche Daily Special- Chilean Sea Bass: Sea bass, peppers and Brussel Sprouts served with Habanero sauce Spagetti Rustichella: Spagetti with Uni in a spicy tomato sauce Tradito de Salmon: Salmon Hamachi served with peppers in a lemon yuzo sauce. Everything was delicious and excellently curated. Our waitress Laura was great; very attentive and personable. 15/10 will be going to graffiti raw again. read more

The service was great. Our server Terrell(spelling?) was very helpful, patient and nice. The food we ordered was good, but the favorite was that crab stuffed avocado. It was delicious and well seasoned. The cod croquettes were also pretty tasty. I got the crab and shrimp fried rice. It was good, a little on the salty side so we opted not to pour the sauce on it. 2 suggestions for the dish: keep the shrimp whole and not cut up in pieces and make the egg a fried easy/medium on top. The drinks were good but on the pricey side. I tried the gratify smash originally but there was an after taste similar to a sugar free drink so I switched it for the Lustre pearl which was way better. It's a cute little restaurant for a date night or celebration. I wish they would validate for an hour or two in the garage. The valet is complimentary I believe. Definitely need to come back to try other items. read more

Loved this place. It's in the smaller side, so make sure to make reservation. They have indoors and outdoors seating, and they can accommodate large parties. The server recommended good drink options. All of them were very refreshing. The food menu has options for light dishes to share but they are good size for individual portions as well. They have at least 4 types of ceviche which is rare, most of their options are Cali inspired so it's seafood, very fresh, well portioned and tasty. The ambience it's boho, and super cute for date nights, or girls outings. Prices are a bit on the higher end, $22-40 per plate, but you are paying for the place and experience I guess. It was worthwhile for sure. They also have validated valet parking. read more

Ambiance is nice and super chic. We came during lunch but surprisingly how slow it is, there's only 3 tables (including my table). There's lot more servers than customers at the time, they're all chit chatting in groups. I don't feel very welcoming when I came in even though it was slow. The server that served my table was alright, I ordered spaghetti (there's little heat in this dish) I asked him (server) that is it spicy? He answers me right away without thinking : No, ma'am. So I order it. Food came out, take very long time for the food to come out, the plate is pretty cold, pasta is not warm either, look like it's been sitting on the counter for awhile. And there it is, it's spicy, it does has some heat on the dish. Server comes to check on us, I told him that the pasta is little spicy for me, He said: "yea, someday the chili is hot and someday the chili is not spicy at all" . I wish he told me this earlier. Overall, you can come to try this place out for the view, the vibes....YES, but not for the services nor the food. read more

The ONLY reason I'm giving this spot four stars is the noise level is HORRID that aside it's a GORGEOUS design and all the staff was super friendly and upbeat! Our server was more happy to help us in every way! The food is so delicious, very fresh and clean in their approach to cuisine! I will DEFINITELY be back ! We came to this restaurant by chance and it blew our socks off! The service is amazing, Yolanda was our server and she was very attentive to our table. The manager came over to check on us and gifted our table with some caviar. The food was sooooooo flavorful. For appetizers we had the grilled octopus...which I thought would be gross....but it was delicious! The octopus came with chorizo, a potato, and some sauce. I had the crab and shrimp fried rice and my husband had the ribs with a house made mole sauce. We were dining with two friends and they ordered chicken and fries and the fried rice. Drinks were specialty crafted and perfect! My husband is a chef and he praised how well the flavors were thought out and complimentary of each other. I highly recommend this place!!!! read more

Meh. It started off good, but the Ffiti Stack that reviews raved about was pretty underwhelming, as were the main dishes. I had the clam linguine which was good, just not Houston-level good. Our waitress was great, but the other staff that was responsible for filling water glasses, etc. was very slow. A member of my party ordered coffee, and she got it 10 minutes later at which point she had to ask them to rearm it read more

We came for the HRW dinner and had the best experience!! Terrific service (I believe we had Laurel or maybe it was Lauren), she was excellent. There were also drink specials offered with the HRW menu which was a nice surprise!! We had a bottle of the Sauvignon blanc and it was great. Every course was delicious, definitely recommend the clam pasta for the main! The crispy rice tuna was incredible, melts in your mouth. The caviar was a surprisingly large portion and the chocolate tarte was delicious as well. Really nice atmosphere. My friend and I went on a Tuesday, it was busy but we were able to find street parking. We asked our server and she said you can use the Marmo/Uchi valet. Highly recommend! read more
